Stay Nice, Stay Together, Stay Smart

How'd you guys like my cliffy? I was rather proud of it. My beta yelled at me to make the next chapter. Lol.

Sorry if you hate Bianca after this, or hate me for it. its for the plot, I swear! Though I don't really know how you guys will respond.

Oh, and this has Italian, but it has translators instantly after. But, I'm not very confident in google translate's power, so, sorry if I got the translation for the Italian wrong.

I'm not really sure how you'll respond to this chapter...I thought it was crap, but my beta thought it was really good...I dunno...lets see what you guys think, yeah?

Eyes narrowed, breath shallow, body tense, fists clenched close, nails digging into palms, leaving crescent moon shaped marks, hair covering outraged eyes, and mouth pulled back in a snarl.

Translation: terrifying as shit. Run.

That was the vibe the whole crowd was getting from the small boy, but none got it harder than the girl-Bianca Di Angelo, who appeared to be Nico's twin, if not older.

"Nico," she spoke softly, trying to calm the beast-she valued her life after all. But, not enough, since she came back, Nico thought, a wicked, evil smirk gracing his features, making him look all the more terrifying. "Calm dow-"

"Don't. You. Fucking. Dare." Nico said in a deathly calm voice. The crowd took a step back as Nico's voice reached them-it was cold and cruel, heartless, merciless. Percy himself took a few steps back. He somehow ended up in the part of the crowd that could see Nico's face, and he could admit it-Nico was terrifying as shit. He took slow step after slow step, towards Bianca, who stubbornly held her ground-a foolish mistake.

"Nico! That is no way to talk to your siste-" Bianca started, before she was cut off loudly.

"You abandoned that post the day you left me, alone and defenseless." Nico whispered; Bianca winced.

"Nico, I would neve-" Bianca tried to say.

"You would never? 'You would never'?" Nico repeated her words. Then, in a voice higher like Bianca's, if not a little higher pitch because puberty had yet to hit him, Nico continued. "Oh Nico, I'm so sorry, but I have to leave you in the ruins of our destroyed building, inches away from our parents dead bodies! But don't worry, because I would never do such a thing! I'll go and get us some milk since we're on our own now. You have fun, see you never!" Bianca and Nico shook, both being taken over by grief and anger.

The crowd pulled back even farther, besides one. Leo walked up and stood in front of Nico protectively.

"Stay the fuck away from him bitch." Leo snarled. It was a sight to see, Leo's features contorted into anger, since anyone who knew him knew that Leo never got mad, let alone furious-which was what he was now.

"Like your one to talk. The weird Latino kid across the street who killed his own mother." Bianca snarled back, fire burning in her eyes.

Leo might have denied it, if he still didn't believe that it was his fault-the fire in his mother's work shop was hard to explain, and since Leo couldn't, he just blamed himself for it, since he was the only one around at the time, and his mother would never do such a thing.

"What the hell do you want, anyways?" Leo asked, eyes narrowing. The fact the he didn't deny killing his mother made the crowd step back, yet again and made a certain, blue/green eyed punk want to pull Nico away from the little guy. Though he was little, who knew what the hell he was capable of?

"I wanted to see my brothe-"

"Let me rephrase. What does the demon spawned inside of you want with Nico?" Leo cut her off. Her eyes narrowed.

"That is not your business-"

"Rimanere bello, rimanere insieme, rimanere intelligente." (Translation: Stay nice, stay together, stay smart) Nico whispered, speaking in Italian, knowing it would be only them in the crowd that would understand-and maybe Leo, if he remembered what Nico taught him. Plus, the languages were similar, "You already failed on the first two of them. Don't fail on last one. After all, it wouldn't do to have mother disappointed even more. Go away Bianca. Stay smart."

Looking like she got punched in the gut, she gaped at Nico. Nico's face didn't soften, didn't show emotion. He just stared at the girl until she was forced to look down.

"I see-" Bianca started.

"Oh just get the fuck away if you know what's good for you!" someone in the crowd, who sounded oddly like Percy to Nico, shouted. Lip trembling, she looked up once more through her lashes, seeking comfort in her little brother.

She winced when all she saw was, nothing.
She didn't see anything.
Just a mask of stone.

She ran away, refusing to let the tears spill. Nico turned his back as soon as she as out of sight, walking determinedly to the red truck, dragging an elf behind him.

The crowd could only gape at the one who they thought was a nerd.

When Nico came to school the next day -and he really did consider not coming, if only for the fear of what the other kids would say to him. He had no fear that Bianca would come back, he knew she wouldn't- it was to stares and pointing and whispers. Sure, he had hoped no one would mention it, but he knew how schools work-especially since 'Leo's Steps to Drive Percy Crazy'. God, the rumors still hadn't stopped for that one.

He kept his head ducked down as he walked, not meeting anyone's eyes as he went from class to class.

But it was at lunch that he was ambushed finally. he had been sitting at the table in the very back, reading his book, shoulders hunched and hoodie up, praying no one would come up to him. Soon, he forgot his worry, and got lost into book land.

And when someone is in book land, you do not interrupt them. You will heed my advice if you value your life.

But, it seemed Percy either didn't value his life, or he didn't know this little bit of information. Most likely because he has never picked up a book before.

Percy pulled out a chair and sat down, dropping his school stuff on the table loudly.

Nico's eyes flickered up, set in a glare, ready to smite whoever interrupted him (it was just getting into the climax!) but his glare faltered when he saw Percy, looking at him, obviously waiting for an answer.

Nico sighed, not knowing how to answer the un-spoken question. Not that it needed to be spoken at all. Nico was considering how to answer, when a light bulb lit up his head.

Why did he even need to explain himself to Percy? Wasn't he still pissed because of yesterday?

"I'm not here to ask about your psychotic twin." Percy said suddenly, making Nico falter.

"Huh?"

"I'm not here to ask about that girl yesterday. I came over to-" Percy gulped, mentally preparing himself for this. He couldn't believe he was doing it.

Was all this really worth it?

Oh, just shut the fuck up. You're attracted to the geek and you fucking know it. Stop lying to yourself, seaweed brain. Your willing to lick his shoes clean if he asked, a very Annabeth-like voice inside answered. He mentally grinned wickedly, and countered back, not realizing him was bantering with a voice inside his head. That's not the only think I'll lic-

"Hello? hhhheeelllllooooo? Hey dust bunnies, can you turn the light on?" Nico mocked, waving a hand in front of Percy's face, dragging Percy out of his thoughts and back to the present. He blinked in surprise for a moment, confused as to why Nico wasn't acting like his normal nerdy-Nico-self. What he didn't realize is that Nico was still ticked off about his reading time getting interrupted.

"Right, right. Dude, you can stop that," He waited till Nico put his hand down, a small grin on his face (Nico's face. Percy still had a glare), before continuing. "Right, what I was saying was, I came over t-to a-apologize." Percy cringed, hardly able to get the word out. Before Nico could open his mouth, Percy trudged on, a guiltily look on his face. A rare sight. "I was a douche, and I'm sorry. Forgive me?" Percy asked, looking up through his lashes. Some would even say he was begging, or even pleading, for Nico to forgive him.

Nico blushed at Percy's intense look, and turned his head away. "Fuck you," Nico sighed, but he said it with no real heat.

Smirking, Percy got up, and winked at Nico. "That's not my job, Neeky" (Remember this, twin? I'm sure you do. I've said it enough times) Nico stared confused at Percy's back for a moment, before blushing bright red in understanding. Percy, satisfied with his daily dose of Nico-Embarrassing-Time, swaggered away.

Stronzo. non può nemmeno farmi leggere in pace. Che cosa è con lui e mi fa arrossire, comunque? sé fucking embarrassing. (Translate: asshole. can't even let me read in peace. what's with him and making me blush, anyway? it's fucking embarrassing) Nico grumbled in Italian angrily in his mind as the bell rang, scowling at the floor as he walked to his next class. Vaffanculo Percy, vaffanculo. Oh aspetta, 'quello non è il tuo lavoro' (translate: fuck you Percy, fuck you. oh wait, 'that's your job')

He was not blushing at his own thoughts. No, he was blushing at the memory of Percy saying it, and what images Percy made his Not-Really-As-Innocent-As-Everyone-Thought head make.
