Shuichi's POV

The bell rings for the last time today. Another day of classes are done.I look out the window one last time before getting out of my sit.I look around the room to see everyone gone but one person.Kokichi Oma.Hes been sleeping through all our classes.No one really cares about him that much I've noticed.Hes almost always alone.He eats lunch alone most the time,he walks back to his dorm alone,and even during the weekends when I see him on the street hes by himself.

I've always wanted to talk to Oma.Me and him have never talked to each other.Wait if we've never talked then this is my chance to talk to him.Its a Friday afternoon which means we have the option to go back to our homes.I usually go to my dorm since my uncle is never around when I go back home.I need to stop thinking too much.Everyone is gone but us.You can do ths,Shuichi.I walk over to Oma and tap his shoulder.

"Wake me up later,mother.....you'll just make me watch you,father,and big brother eat again...." I hear him mumble.What does that mean?Is he joking?I tap his shoulder.To my surprise Oma sat up and yawned."This isnt home.." "We're at school,Oma-kun.Its the end of the day." I tell him.He jumps out of his chair and falls on the floor.He backs himself up against a wall and look at me.Hes blushing a lot.I think to myself.

"S-Saihara-chan!?What are you doing here!?" Oma yells at me.The yelling didn't affect me.But he said chan.That hit me hard.The truth is I'm transgender male.If dont understand what that means.Basically I was born a female but I decided to become a male.Im really uncomfortable with my body.I mean I wear a binder.But I did get the surgery so I got something down there.But I dont go to gym like everyone else.Well I go sometimes but not enough.Well no one knows about me being trans.I've been like this since I was ten.My Uncle Ben is a nice man at heart.The point is when Oma said "Saihara-chan" that really felt weird.

"Earth to Saihara-chan!" I hear Oma yell my name.I look at him."Sorry Oma-kun.I spaced out." "Its okay I guess.....why did you bother talking to me anyway?" "C-cause you were sleeping and I didn't want the janitors to think you were breaking into the school because you were sleeping.." "Oh.....thank you then,Saihara-chan." He told me.

I smile at him."Not a problem,Oma-kun." I tell him.We stand there for about a good five minutes just looking at each other.I've never noticed how big Oma's school uniform was on him until now.His hair is a bit messy from him sleeping.And that scarf of his doesn't match our school uniform at all.But it's a cute little touch.Plus he has some freckles on his face which are extremely cute.Wait did I call him cute?No I cant call him that.Im supposed to be finding a girlfriend.By the end of this month for my uncle.Ive had so many girlfriends but they never work out.I snap out of of my thoughts when I hear Oma speak."Sorry to bother you.I should get going,Saihara-chan." He says as he picks up his bag."I was nice talking to you but you should go hang out with your friends." He tells me as he starts walking towards the door.

"Wait Oma-kun." I call for him.He turns around and look at me."Hm?" "I uhhhhhh......" "Take your time." "I was wondering if you ummmm.......were free tomorrow..." I say.He looks at me shocked.Has no one ever asked him to hang out on the weekends?"Yeah I'm free tomorrow...and like everyday for that matter.What do you have in mind?" "Oh I-" "You didn't think ahead did you,Saihara-chan?" "You got me.....I didn't expect you to say yes...." I admit to him."It makes sense.We've never actually talked one on one before have we?" He ask me.I just nod.I've never asked anyone to hang out with me before.People always ask me to hang out."Well let's do this the correct way shall we?" He says as he walks over to me.He holds his hand out.

"I'm Kokichi Oma.A third year in class one fifthy-three of Hopes Peak Academy.I'm seventeen years old.The talent given to me was Supreme Leader.I run a group called DICE and it has over ten thousand members.It's nice to met you." He says.My smile becomes even bigger."I'm Shuichi Saihara.A third year in class one fifthy-three of Hopes Peak Academy.I'm seventeen.The talent given to me by this school is Detective.I'm only in training but I do my best to make everyone proud and the pleasure is mine." I say and shake his hand.His hand are so small.

We pull our hands away from each other."Oma-kun,can I walk with you?" "Sure.I'm just walking to my dorm today." Once he said that he started walking out of the classroom.I catch up to me so we're walking side by side."So Saihara-chan why did you want to walk with me?" "I just wanted to make sure nothing happened to you.You never know someone could try kidnapping you,Oma-kun" "I guess that's true." He says he starts walking past the elevator."Oh wait Oma-kun!" He turns around to look at me."You like calling my name.Whats up?" He walks over to me."We can use the elevator." "I thought only teachers could use the elevator.I mean I could always try look picking the elevator lock." "Theres no need for that." I tell him as I take a key out of my pocket."Wait you have a key?" "Yeah I get dizzy walking down the stairs." I tell him while I put the key in the key hole and turn it.The elevator doors open.We both walk inside and I push the button for the first floor.The door close and the elevator starts moving.

"Saihara-chan can I stand next to you?" I look at Oma to see him shaking.Is he scared of height?Tight places?Well it doesn't matter.I walk over to him and hug him."Is this good,Oma-kun?" I ask him.I just feel him nuzzle his head into my chest.I smile to myself."I'll take that as a yes then." He looks up at me with a faint blush on his face."I'm sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable.." "It's okay,Oma-kun." "You know everyone calls me Kokichi...you don't have to be formal." "I was raised to be formal,Om-Kokichi." It's weird calling him Kokichi.It always takes weeks for me to call someone by their given name.But with Kokichi,I just felt like I needed to be on his level.Why is that?

I hear the elevator doors open.I let go of Kokichi.He walks out of the elevator and I follow behind him."Thank you for doing that,Saihara-chan." "No need to thank me,Kokichi.Also you can call me Shuichi if you want." "Can I give you a nickname?" "S-sure if you want..." I've never had anyone call me a nickname.I'm kinda excited to say the least."Shumai,ShuShu,Shu,and My beloved......which do you like?" "I'm not sure.I like all of them." "Wait really?" I nod."I'll call you all of them then.I cant decided!" I laugh a bit do to his reaction.He smiles at me."Hey you know the building is really big right,Shumai?" "Of course I know that,Kokichi." I say as I open the door for Kokichi."What a gentleman!Are you talking lessons from Gonta?" He giggles a bit and skips outside the school.I walk outside to see the leaves turning colors.I almost forgot it was close to Halloween.What like a week?

"ShuShu!We have a good two miles of walking to get to the dorms!We have to leave before the gates close!" "Right.Im sorry,Kokichi." I run up to him."Dont apologize!Let's just keep the train going!" He says as he grabs my hand and starts running.I try my best not to fall.Suddenly he stops running.Lucky I stop before running into him."Kokichi why did we stop?" "That idiot is blocking our path." "What idiot?" I look infront of us to see Kaito and some of his other friends.I laugh because he called Kaito a idiot.

By time I stop laughing.I notice Kaito and his friends walking towards us and Kokichi is hiding behind me holding onto the back of my jacket for dear life."Hey Sidekick!" "H-hello K-Kaito." I dont know why I stuttered.Ive known Kaito for a few years now.Maybe I'm scared because Kokichi is scared."Hello Kokichi." Kokichi is shaking more.Did Kaito do something to him? "Ummmm....Kaito,me and Kokichi are just trying to get back to the dorms.We dont want to bother you." "No need to worry,Sidekick!I just need to talk to Kokichi." "He isnt feeling well,Kaito.I dont want you getting sick." "I'll be fine,Shuichi.I just need a second with him." I was actually getting scared.I didn't know what to do.

Then I heard Himiko and Tenko.I feel Kokichi let go of me.I hear running behind me."Degenerate males!You better stay away from Kokichi!!!" I hear Tenko yell."If you dont I'll put a curse on you all...." Himiko says."Tch.Whatever.Lets go." Kaito and his friends walks off.I turn around to see Tenko hugging Kokichi."I-is Kokichi okay?" I ask them."Nyeh.....he is thanks to you being around him." "You protected Kokichi,you degenerate!I'm grateful to you." "Hes my friend.So its natural I stand up for him." I tell them.They both look at me shocked."Is that true Kokichi?" Himiko asks Kokichi.

Kokichi wiggles out of Tenko's grip and runs over to me.He hugs me."Yeah hes my friend." I hug him back."Well we have to go shopping.We'll come by later,Kokichi.Bye!" Himiko says as she starts walking away.Tenko waves at us and follows her."So Kokichi are you okay now?" "Yeah.I'm sorry to worry you." He tells me with a smile."Do you want to stay in my room?Just in case Kaito comes back and all!You dont have to!" He stops hugging me and jumps up and down."Kokichi?" "I'm excited!I've never been at a friend's house before!Is this going to be like a sleepover?" Hes really excited.Ive never seen someone have this much energy in my life.Well hes never been at a friend's house before so this is the next best thing for him."Do you want to get some of your clothes first?" He stopped jumping."Well I dont have any clothes to wear really.I only own this uniform and a regular outfit." "Oh.I guess you can wear some of my clothes then.Tomorrow we'll go out and buy you some new ones."

"You shouldn't do that for little old me,Shuichi!" I'm starting to notice a pattern of the way hes saying stuff.Maybe he has problems saying certain words.I shouldn't dig into stuff like that."But I'm going to,Kokichi." I tell him as I start walking to the dorms again.He follows beside me."So do you anything I could mess around with?" He asks me."I have Rubik cube in my room.Ive been trying to solve it for months now." "Really?That's going to be fun to play with!" "You like playing with toys I'm assuming?" "Yeah.But sometimes waaaaay too easy for me!" "I'm not sure if this is personal or not,Kokichi.But.....what's your IQ?"

"I think about three twenty-four.But those dont really matter do they?" Wait what!?That's really high!Isnt that at least the second highest in the world or at least the highest!"What about yours Shu?" "I'm only about one ninety." "Oh that's a good number." "I dont see how.Compared to you it's like I'm a small ant." I tell him.He looks at me."Nah.Stop fooling yourself.At least people know the truth about your IQ.My mother didn't want a useless brat like me having it that high.So me and my brother were forced to switch.Hes got a IQ of ninety-nine.Which makes me look dumb." He explains to me.I never knew you could even do that.Actually that's really messed up."Does the school kn-" Before I could even finish the sentence.Kokichi speaks."If you tell anyone you might not see me at this school for a few weeks." "What does that mean,Kokichi?" "Dont worry about it.We're here now." He says as he opens the door for me.I walk inside him following close behind.I start walking to my room.

"Sorry for sounding pissed off back there,Shumai." "Dont worry.I understand." I say as we starts walking up the stairs.Im feeling a bit dizzy but I'll be fine."Why arent we talking the elevator?" "You didn't seem to like it last time so I decided we should just walk." "But isnt your room on the top floor?" "Yeah but it's fine.We're almost there anyway." I open the door to my floor to let Kokichi walk through.He walks through and I follow behind.

We walk to my room.I take my key out and open the door.Kokichi walks into my room.I walk inside as well.Closing and of course locking the door behind me."So uhhhhh welcome to my room." I take off my shoes and walk over to my bed to sit down.I see Kokichi taking his shoes off.Once he did that he looks around the room.I remember he wanted to play with my Rubik cube.I take it off my nightstand."Hey Kokichi.You don't have to stand there.You can sit down." "Oh okay." He walks over to my bed and sits next to me."Here you go,Kokichi." I say as I hand him the cube.He looks at it."You've been doing this for months,right?" I nod.

He smiles at me."Oh okay.I'll make this quick then put it back to the way it was before." He tells me.He moves it extremely quickly solving it.I was surprised but then I remembered how smart he is.He looks at me."Did I surprise you,Shumai?" "A little bit but you're extremely smart so its expected." "I guess so.Um I should put it back to normal." He says while putting it exactly back to the way it was before he messed with it."Hey Shuichi....do you want to learn how to solve this?" I just decided to nod my head."Alright.You have to pay attention,k?" I nod again.

We sit there for hours.He showed me how to solve the cube and I actually solved it.We talked about shows we've seen and books we've read.We asked each other about small things to get to know each other better.At some point I was leaning up against my bed frame with Kokichi's body ontop of me.The two of us were getting tired.I looked at my clock on the wall.Its almost midnight.I look down at Kokichi who's talking about himself.

"My mother hates me......my father hates me.....my big brother hates me.....no one likes me.I mean DICE loves being around me.Himiko and Tenko are always there for me.Then theres you,Shuichi.We just met.I mean we've been in the same class for years.But we're just now talking to each other......I find that funny.I've always wanted to talk to you....but actually had friends...a life.God talking you now is a dream come true.Im glad yesterday I was hit until I couldn't walk.......it sucked but look I'm here with you and not with my family.They'll probably look for me tomorrow.They know I'm friends with Tenko and Himiko.So those two will cover for me...." What Kokichi said woke me right back up I'm not tired but scared for him."Kokichi." "Yes My beloved?.." "Do you want to move into my room?" "I dont want to invade." "Its fine.I really think this would help us become closer friends plus you can see me everyday." I tell him.I just want to protect him.

"Mkay...." He turns around and nuzzles his head into my chest."I love you,Shuichi...." I hear him whisper.I was surprised to hear him to say that.He loves me?Without thinking I say..

"I love you too,Kokichi."
