28: Be proud
Heyyyy
Sorry for not updating in awhile...I've been struggling with sleep...I've become nocturnal, sleeping all day and staying up all night the night before a day of hell(school)
Aaaaannndd I've been obsessed with Riverdale, thanks to Kayla7428 and twenty_one_migraines . IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT, YOU REALLY SHOULD! ITS SOOOOO GOOOD!!
.....I like and hate Betty at the same time...shes a bitch...but shes smart to figure this shit out...but still a very insane bitch...
Also, if you're ever bored, go on Netflix and watch American Vandal. Because holy hell, its hilarious!
Aaand as I'm writing this, I'm watching The End Of The F***ing World. Its hilarious and crazy and I friggin love it!
Okay, enough with this shit you don't care about. TO THE STORY! :D
Mark's POV
This is insane. Is this how a normal teenage boy acts? I wouldn't know, seeing as I am dissimilar to others. Being around Tyler doesn't feel like this, this is a whole other ordeal.
Six absurd males and one slightly ludicrous female filling the round, colorless table. The ludicrous one was comforting the odd one out known as Mark through what seemed like a strange circus. I certainly did not belong here, I did not fit in with the group every girl in this school drooled over.
"Why can't I just go sit alone, its not like its the first time Tyler has missed." I whisper to the only female at this table, Y/n.
"Because I don't want you to be alone." Y/n grins, grabbing my hand. "Its not that bad."
"Hey Y/n," Allen laughs. "you gotta come meet us at Sage's tonight!"
"I'm good." Y/n declines.
"C'mon! Ace has to wear one of his sisters' dresses if I beat him in Player Unknown Battlegrounds!" Jax yells from across the table.
Y/n smirks and looks my way. My eyes growing wide, already knowing her idea, I shake my head disapprovingly.
"Come on! Please!" Y/n giggles, her hand squeezing mine slightly.
"No, absolutely not." I shake my head.
"Well, I'm not going without him, so I guess thats a no." Y/n shrugs, leaning back in her chair.
Slightly relieved shes not going, I lean back in my seat, my hand still in hers. I felt uneasy about her being the only female in a group of teenage boys. Its not that I don't trust her, but I don't want it turning into a sausage party.
(If you don't know what a sausage party is, don't look it up...it doesn't matter, its not relevant to the story. And I'm not talking about the movie XD)
"Mark can come." Ace nods.
"Mark," Y/n leans on my shoulder, looking up at me and making sure she's acting extra adorable.
"No," I decline before she said anything, trying my best to avoid eye contact with the cute, begging eyes of hers.
She tugs on my arm a bit, sitting straight up. "C'mon, don't you wanna get out of the house and have fun instead of studying all night, like per usual?"
"Y/n, I have an assignment due next week, it'll be half the grade on my report card." I met eyes with her.
"You can work on it some other time, its due next week, you have plenty of time." Y/n shrugs.
"I'm not like you, I am not one for procrastination." I say.
"You're going, whether you like it or not." Y/n grins triumphantly, facing the guys again.
"Y/n-" I began.
"You're going." She slightly squeezes my hand. "You'll thank me later."
I highly doubt that.
I could spend my night being productive, but instead Y/n is forcing me to waste my time watching these animals wear dresses. This doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy in the least, but if it makes Y/n happy, I guess
it'll be worth it. Anything to cause that perfect smile of hers is always worth it.
"Zane," Sage laughs. "if you lose against me, you have to flirt with Ace's sister!"
"What, no!" Zane declines, eyes wide.
"Neither of my sisters will be there, nor my parents." Ace shrugs. "It'll only be us."
"Nice, dude!" Allen high fives Ace.
"You can't bring anyone, though!" Ace says, meeting eyes with everyone at the table with a warning look. "Just because my parents are gone, doesn't mean I'm inviting the whole school over to hang out."
"Yeah, yeah." Shane rolls his eyes.
Interrupting their conversation, a well dressed man stands at the glass doors of the cafeteria. "Y/n L/n!" He yells, scanning the room for any response.
Y/n's face grows confused as she scans the table of guys. Ace whisper yelled at her to stand up which earned him the middle finger. She squeezed my hand once more before standing up and raising hand. The man at the door nodded and told her to follow him. As I watched her walk away with him, worry grew inside me. The cafeteria filled with chatter about what Y/n could've possibly done this time,
"Yo," Allen laughs. "what did Y/n do now." He shakes his head with a smile.
"I would say she got into another fight, but I doubt they would just find out." Jax says.
"Maybe she beat some popular snob in the bathroom." Sage laughs.
"Man, I hope!" Zane grins.
"Well, all the snobs are still at their table." Allen sighs disappointedly, staring at the girls. "Probably talking about another guy they fucked." He rolled his eyes, turning back to us.
"Or how much they hate Y/n and making up shit about what she did." Ace leaned back in his chair, setting one hand on the table.
"I wouldn't doubt it." Sage shrugs. "Almost every girl hates her."
"Excuse me for interrupting, but," I pause, feeling intimidated by all their eyes on me. "why-why do all the girls hate her? I-I thought-"
"Shes the one who tells them what everyone thinks." Zane interrupts, shrugging. "She tells them how stuck up they are, to shut up, y'know, the things everyone wants to say but wont."
"Don't forget that Anna Handmen and her group has tried to get with you-" Shane begins.
"And all of us." Jax interrupts.
Shane continues, glaring at Jax coldly for interrupting. "They have tried to get with all of us countless times and they think Y/n has done shit with us, that never happened."
"I don't know why people would still think it still happens though." Ace shrugs confusedly. "She's dating Mark. I know she's not very affectionate, in public at least, but a lot of people were talking about them dating."
My eyes fell to my hands, attempting to hide my smile. Allen reaches over the empty spot that once held Y/n and slapped my arm with a smile.
"Hey dude," Allen chuckles, leaning back in his chair again. "I see that smile, don't hide it! Be proud!" He grins widely as Ace stares at him with a raised brow. "You're dating Y/n L/n, be proud of it!"
I chuckled nervously, running a hand through my hair. It would be nice if they would all stop staring at me. I knew I should've kept quiet, waited to ask Y/n later or something. I hated this. Everything of being here, I hated.
"I-I should get going." I stutter awkwardly, standing up slowly. "I need to talk to Mrs. Halward about something." Throwing my bag over my shoulder, I turn around and make my way out of the cafeteria.
I needed to get away from there.
