25: Just go home
Y/n POV
"Your first day back, Y/n!" My mother yelled as we walked into the house. "Your first day!"
"It wouldn't make any difference on what day it happened." I shrug, plopping down on the couch.
"Why the hell did you punch her?" She yelled, standing in front of me.
"She punched me first!" I yell, standing up.
"I want the truth, Y/n!" She demands.
"And you're getting it!" I exclaim. "She threatened to fight me! I tried to be the bigger person and walk away but she punched me. I was only defending myself!"
"You really think I'm gonna believe that?" She folds her arms.
"You should because that's what happened." I sneer.
"Maybe if you told the truth, you wouldn't have another suspension and three days of in school detention." She rolls her eyes and begins walking away.
I fall down onto the couch again, grabbing the remote. "A week and three days away from annoying people? How is that a punishment?"
She ignores me as she continues her way back to the front door. She grabs her keys and opens the door, turning to look at me.
"I'm going back to work," She calls. "if I find out you left this house, you will regret it."
She slams the door shut before I could answer, locking it. Rolling my eyes, I search for a channel that isn't complete shit.
What felt like a few shows of (favorite show) but we're actually hours, Ken ran through the door with Zach right behind her.
"Shut up!" Ken yells, running up the stairs.
"I saw you!" Zach yelled, following her up. "I'll tell mom what you did!"
"Shut up, Zach!" Ken screams, slamming her door shut.
Zach laughs, and runs down the stairs. He stops when he reaches the bottom, staring at me with confusion.
"How are you here already?" He asks, walking into the kitchen.
"Got suspended again." I chuckle, following him.
"Again?" His eyes widen.
"Hey, this time it wasn't my fault!" I hold my hands up in defense. "So what was all that about with Ken?" I ask with a smirk.
"I saw her kiss a boy!" The thirteen-year-old giggles.
"She has a boyfriend?" I smirk, leaning agains the fridge.
"I guess," Zach shrugs, pulling a glass from the cabinet. "I doubt she'd kiss a stranger."
"So what about you?" I smile. "You got a girl? Or boy, I don't judge!"
(If you're against lgbt+...get out)
"Ew, no!" He shakes his head, acting disgusted.
"Dude, you're thirteen!" I roll my eyes. "Your hormones should be going crazy right now!"
"Ew, stop! Just shut up!" Zach held up his hand, squeezing his eyes shut.
"Are you just gonna grow old and alone?" I chuckle, backing away from the fridge as he opened it to get a bottle of water.
"Yes," He smiles. "and proud of it!"
"Why don't you just drink it out of the bottle, the glass isn't necessary." I raise a brow.
"I don't know." Zach shrugs, his emo like haircut hiding his eye. "I just don't like bottles."
"You're a weird kid." I chuckle.
"Duh." He laughs.
"Guess who I ran into on the way home!" Nixon yells, slamming the door against the wall as he walks in.
"Pete Wentz?" Zach yells.
"Who?" Nix raises an eyebrow.
"Never mind." Zach groans.
"Did you get suspended again?" Nix sighs, annoyed. "You're usually not home till five."
"Yep!" I smile proudly.
"You're gonna give me one hell of a time in senior year when my teachers find out I'm related to you." He sighs, running a hand through his hair.
"You're welcome!" I chuckle. "Who'd you run into?"
Nix smirks. "Oh yeah! Mark!"
"I'm out." I roll my eyes, leaving the kitchen.
"Why? I thought he was your friend!" Nix yells as I'm halfway up the stairs.
"Yeah, was!" I yell back.
"Okay, well I guess I shouldn't have brought him here then." Nix sighs.
"You brought him here?" I yell in surprise, running back down the stairs.
"Yeah, he's on the porch." Nix points to the front door with his thumb.
"You just left him out there?" I sneer, walking towards the door.
"I guess you do wanna see him." Nix rolls his eyes. "Girls are so confusing."
Walking onto the porch, Mark is standing there, hugging his jacket to himself. I close the door and lean against the railing with my arms crossed.
"Why are you here?" I ask harshly.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asks, nervously laughing. "You got in another fight and I was worried."
"Are you sure worried is the right word?" I sneer. "'Cause I would say you're actually here just to pretend to be a friend."
"What are you talking about?" He stares at me confusedly.
"You let me trust you, you allowed me to get used to the feeling of having someone around because you told me you wouldn't leave my side," I stare at him with cold eyes. "only to find out I've been believing a fucking lie."
Mark stares at me with confusion and hurt.
"Y/n, I would never-" Mark starts.
"Just go home." I interrupt, shaking my head and walking back into the house.
I knew I never should have trusted him.
