24: Four against three

Y/n POV

"Hey!" I smile, sitting across from Mark.

"How is your first day back so far?" Mark asks.

"Its school, why would it be good? I just got off my vacation." I chuckled, seeing Tyler's spot next to Mark was empty.

"Where's he?" I ask, pointing to his empty space.

"He should be on his way. He went to the library to find some book he needs for a science project he has." Mark shrugs.

I nod. A girl with green eyes behind thin glasses and dirty blond braids sat next to Mark, planting a kiss on his cheek with a wide smile. Immediately I knew she was Madison Hallart, the face I so badly wanted to beat in.

"Hey adorable!" She greets. "Y/n, I see you're back."

I nod, sending a half assed smile her way. She better not be sitting her now because I can barely handle this for the few seconds she was here.

"Guess what?" Madison looked at Mark. "Alicia and Jude are finally getting along again but Ella is still pissed at Alicia because she believes that she is still talking crap."

"Seriously?" Mark asks. Is he actually interested in this topic?

Madison nods then looks at me. "You should go sit with them! You guys would be good friends!" She looked at me with a face of disgust, attempting to hide it with a smile.

"Do you really think I would sit with popular wannabes probably talking about math or some shit?" I sneer, causing the shocked and offended look on Madison's face. Mark sends me a look, making me roll my eyes.

"Sorry," I apologize "I'd rather not move for Mark is my friend and I don't get along with girls."

"If you don't get along with girls, go sit with Allen. We all know you two get along stupefyingly." She rolls her eyes.

I raise an eyebrow at her.

"It's like another word for amazing." Mark shrugs.

Rolling my eyes, I stand up and sling my bag over my shoulder while flashing my middle finger towards Madison. I turn around and make my way towards Allen and his group just as Tyler walks in and takes his place next to Mark.

A take the empty seat between Allen and and Jax. Allen looks over to me and smirks.

"Hey baby," Alex places his arm on the back of the seat I was in, setting his right foot on his left knee. "I knew you'd change your mind."

"What, you and Mark got in a fight or something?" Zane asked from across the table.

"More like his bitch of a girlfriend." I sigh with a slight laugh.

"I hear ya," Ace raises his hand. "shes an annoying little bastard with that annoying voice of hers."

"Her friend, Jude, I swear," Jax sighs. "she comes onto any guy she sees."

"Anyway, like I was saying before she came," Sage rolled his eyes. "Shane, you owe me ten dollars! The Steelers beat the Browns!"

"No way, dude!" Shane exclaims. "The Steelers definitely cheated!"

"They did not!" Sage argued. "They won fair and square!"

"I'm on Sage's side with this." I smile, pointing at him.

(If you don't like the Steelers...how dare you...)

"Yes! Two against one!" Sage laughed in victory.

"Two against two actually!" Zane raised his hand.

"Three against two!" Allen raised his hand.

"You just wanna be on Y/n's side, you didn't watch the game!" Shane accuses, making me laugh. I expected this to be a lot worse.

"Maybe, maybe not." Allen smirks.

"I don't watch football but my last name is Brown so I'm going for them." Jax raises his hand to put in his side.

"You can't do that, dude!" Sage yelled, an amused smile on his face.

"I'm going for the Steelers." Ace raised his hand.

"So, four against three." I chuckle.

"You owe me ten dollars!" Sage mentions.

"And you wont get it." Shane shakes his head, folding his arms and leaning back in his seat.

"I'm not for either team but if I had to pick, I had to pick it'd be the Steelers." Ace nods. "But the Georgia Bulldogs are way better."

"Are not!" I argue.

"The Bulldogs would beat the Steelers any day!" Ace leans back in his chair.

The rest of lunch was spent arguing about which sports team was better and making bets for the next game. I expected these guys to be more douche-y and more like the 'I'm-better-than-you' type.

Walking down the hallway for the next class, someone grabbed my wrist and turned me around to face them. Madison stood there with an angered expression.

"I don't like you." Was all she said.

I stifle a laugh. "The feeling is mutual."

"Mark doesn't either." She folds her arm, failing at her attempt in being intimidating.

"What?" I raise a brow.

"After you left, he was complaining about how annoying you were." She smiles evilly. "He went on and on about how much he wants to leave you but that poor soul just doesn't have the heart to do something like that."

In that moment, my heart was ripped from my chest. It felt like a bullet to the chest.

"So I suggest you stay away from him." She smirks. "If I find out you're bugging him again, your head will be up your ass."

"So you're saying you'd fight me?" I scoff.

"Yes!" She smiles proudly. "You may look tough but I doubt you really are. William definitely beat your ass."

"Yeah, okay. I did more damage to him but he totally won." I say sarcastically, beginning to turn around when she grabbed my arm again.

A sharp pain flew through my jaw as Madison's fist collided with it. Grabbing her shoulders, I pushed her against the lockers, my fist meeting her glasses covered eye.

Students were watching with shock, fear, and excitement. Teachers pushed through the crowd, yelling at the both of us. I was pulled away from the screaming Madison. Another teacher held Madison back as she came for me again. Her nose was bleeding and lip was already swollen.

"What in your right mind told you that this was a good idea?" Mrs. Fora yelled.

Here we go again.
