Chapter 7
---3rd person---
The house was genuinely loud and crowded only an hour into the night. Crowds and cliches having fun, playing games like bear pong and jumping from the table to the counter. Burr was following people around, trying to clean up after them. A real catch, eh? Thomas chuckled to himself as the party rolled on. He was holding a red solo cup and leaned against the wall, trying not to stare at the small Caribbean man practically running circles around Hercules and Lafayette. His smile was wide and his eyes filled with glistening excitement. His hair was down and his luxurious curls bounced on his shoulders as his tiny frame bounced around the room. Thomas shook his head and rolled his eyes as he stood on the table.
"Haven't seen you in a while." a deep voice rang from behind Thomas causing him to turn quickly. James was smirking with his red cup pressed to his lips. James wasn't a drinker so it was most likely water in his cup or something like that. Thomas smiled down at him a ruffled his hair. "Sup, little man." Thomas teased gaining him a loud growl from the tiny man. "I am not that small, you're just massive." he retorted and pulled the cup away from his face, scanning Thomas'. "What's wrong? Is something bothering you?" James asked, his eyes trickled with concern. Thomas' smile fell as he turned to Alex dancing on the table. James always had a way of knowing something was wrong with Thomas. He could read people easily and knew Thomas fairly well. It wasn't even that difficult to tell something was bugging him, though. His eyes weren't filled with as excitement and happiness as they would be on a normal day. He looked tired and run down, not ready to take on what was ahead of him. He looked almost defeated..
"Whose that?" James interrupted Thomas' thoughts causing Thomas to squirm uncomfortably. "Alexander, I believe." He answered like he forgot when in all reality it was the only thing playing through his mind. His fucking name was so beautiful along with every other part of him. His smile was able to make anyone smile back in a 100 mile radius and his eyes were so full and intelligent making Thomas' legs jello. Every word he spoke was well thought out and fell from his beautiful lips perfectly. "Oh, okay. What's with him?" James questioned, leaning against the wall next to Thomas and looked at Alex.
"What do you mean?" Thomas mumbled as Alex jumped from the table, shooting his arm in the air with his cup splashing. "Why do you keep looking at him lik- oh. I get it now." He said with a sly smirk. Thomas knew exactly what that meant. James knew something and wanted to tease Thomas about it. it was a look he was very familiar with since James knew practically everything about Thomas' personal life. He was his best friend and one of the only ones to stay around. He was an amazing person that Thomas probably couldn't live without.
"You like him." he purred and chewed on his lip, waiting for Thomas' reaction. Thomas' face went a light shade of pink but instead of acknowledging he shook his head fiercely. "Dude, no. That's weird." He lied, his face telling it all. James grin only got wider when Thomas shook his head. "oh. my. god. You have a crush!" He yelled like a school girl causing quite a few people to look at them. Thomas cringed visibly and smacked his hand over James mouth making him squeal. "Shut. up!" Thomas growled before lifting his hand away from his face. James looked up at him, still smirking, and pointed behind him. Thomas froze, having a large idea about what he meant.
"Hey, Thomas, wanna dance?" the man behind him asked, making Thomas' heart flutter. James looked like he was ready to explode and nodded for him to turn around. Thomas took in a sharp breath before turning his body around exceedingly fast. He was met with the light brown eyes of Alexander, his smile large and slightly loopy. 'He was drunk, he had to be.' Thomas thought to himself and nodded uncertainly. Alex grinned widely and pulled Thomas into the living room, dancing to the music. Thomas smile turned into a real one as he gazed at the smaller man. his hips were swaying and his hair was flipping around as he moved his head. He really could dance which kind of took Thomas by surprise. He didn't look like the dancing type.
"Hey, Tommy, you okay?" Alex examined, his eyes bright and hopeful. Thomas chewed on the inside of his cheek before nodding. Alex smiled came back as he grabbed Thomas wrist, making him dance. Thomas and Alex were a giggling mess, dancing side by side, hand in hand. people started making way for them but not in time causing Alex to fall on his ass, bringing Thomas to his left side with a 'thud'. They continued laughing, not breaking their hands apart. Thomas turned his head to Alex just as he was turning his, giving them intense eye contact neither wanted to break. "Thanks." was all Thomas managed to say. Alex nodded and stood up, pulling Thomas' hand in an effort to help him up. "Well, sir, this is a new side of you I've never seen, but granted, half the time we were talking was when you fulled that little stunt." He snickered and ran his thumb along the skin of Thomas' hand.
Thomas chuckled and nodded, pulling himself up. "Where on earth did you learn to dance like that?" Thomas responded as the people started to close in. More people must have made their way in but Thomas didn't really pay much mind to it. He was lost in Alex's eyes, as cliche as it sounds. "I don't really know.' He admitted, inching slightly closer to Thomas. He was practically against his chest, smiling up at him. "Hey, Thomas?" He said quietly as if he didn't want anyone else to hear. like it was a secret, something only Thomas was allowed to know. "Yeah?" He mumbled just as quiet. Alex stood on his the tips of his toes and Thomas shrunk a bit putting them at the same height. "can we do that again?" he asked, almost completely inaudible. Thomas nodded and leaned in, their lips connecting. Alex ran his hands to the back of Thomas' neck and Thomas pulled him by the waist.
It felt almost magical.
but magic doesn't exist.
I am so sorry I didn't write that much. I'm working on like four stories at the same time. I just got my Lams one up (in which you should totally read :D). I should have my lafferson, mullete, and my pheaker one by Monday so be on the look out for those. I might redo this chapter cause... well it sucked. Thanks again for 1,400+ reads!
