Miyako's First Day
"There is no fucking way I'm wearing that yellow banana suit!" I yell.
My twin, Kyoya, sighs and tosses it on my bed. He's already in his uniform ready to go. "That's the girl's uniform for the school, so you have to, Miya."
Ouran Academy is already two weeks into the school year. Father has decided to just now get me enrolled and sent there. I'm starting the Monday on the third week in. That Monday happens to be today.
"Why do I have to go to your stupid school?! I was perfectly happy being homeschooled!" I complain.
"Father wanted us to be together for the last two years of school and to not have you sleep in till noon to start your studies."
"Why does he care when I get up?! I like my beauty sleep!" I shout.
"Don't think you're the only one who likes their beauty sleep. I do too. Now, hurry and get changed or we're going to be late," he says and leaves the room.
"Yeah, I'll change all right, but it's not gonna be in the fucking frilly banana cream pie," I grumble and scavenge through my closet. "I'll match the boys and add a touch of girly with a skirt." I grab my gloves, slip on my boots, put my hair up with a large red bow, grab my bag, grab the key to my motorcycle, and leave the room.
Kyoya catches up with me. "You're supposed to be in the uniform."
"Fuck the uniform," I reply. "I do what I want."
"Fine, but at least take the limo," Kyoya sighs.
"Yeah, that's not happening either."
"Then stay close to he limo."
"Fiiiine!" I groan. We part ways at the steps. Him going to the front of the house to the limo and I to the garage with my motorcycles. I scan through the many different colored motorcycles in search of the red one. "Red to match my bow." I meet Kyoya at the front then follow once the limo starts moving.
~~~
"Shit, with all this traffic we're going to be late," I complain, looking at the time on my phone. I pull up next to the limo and knock on the window.
The window gets rolled down. "Yes?" Kyoya asks.
"We're going to be late waiting in this traffic," I say.
"If you didn't complain about the uniform for 20 minutes we might've been on time."
"We need to move along. I don't wanna get in trouble for being late for my first day of school," I say.
"What're you gonna do? We can't get there any faster."
"Get your stuff and get on behind me," I command.
"Why?"
"Just come on! We don't have time for questioning!"
"Fine." He gets out of the car with his things and sits on the motorcycle behind me.
"Hold on tight!" I say.
"What wh–"
I speed off and Kyoya's grip tightens around my waist.
"That's why!" I laugh.
"You're going to get us killed weaving through traffic like this," Kyoya replies nonchalantly.
"Naw, I'm a professional," I blow off. "Don't you trust me?"
"I trust you. I just don't trust other people."
~~~
I park the motorcycle in the parking lot, we quickly get off, and rush to our class before the bell rings.
"I told you we'd live," I say.
"Not if we're late to class."
"True." We run through the empty halls straight to our class and make it right as the bell rings. We sigh in relief. "Made it!"
"It's nice of you to show up," the teacher says rudely.
"Sorry, outfit complications," I say.
"Well, class, we have a new student starting today," the teacher announces. "Care to introduce yourself?"
I look at the class where everyone is staring at me. Everyone's whispering to each other. I bet because I ran in here with Kyoya, since he's popular and all. He is popular after all, never would've guessed, since he's such a nerd. I take in the glares I get from the girls and chuckle. I also notice all the googly eyes from all the boys. I know I'm extremely attractive. Scratch that. I'm extremely sexy and I embrace the fact that I can make boys do what I want. I love it.
"Miyako!~" a voice calls out. It's not just any voice it's his voice. Tamaki.
I groan. "Why didn't you tell me the blond bimbo was in this class!" I fuss with Kyoya.
"Then you definitely wouldn't have come to school," Kyoya says. "I would've had to drag you to school."
"Damn right!" I fuss, low enough the teacher wouldn't hear.
Tamaki prances up to the front and engulfs me in a hug. "It's so nice to see you again! I haven't seen you in forever! Isn't it awesome how we're in the same class?"
"Just great..." I grumble, grinding my teeth in frustration. I push him off me.
"Would you care to introduce yourself?" the teacher asks again.
"I'd be happy to!" I say and drape my arm over Kyoya's neck. I point to him. "This kid right here. You see him? He's my oniisan!" Gasps go around the room. "Yep! And wanna know something even more crazy? He's my identical, well fraternal, twin brother!" Double gasp. "My name is Miyako Ootori. You may also know me as the voice of Kyoko Mizuki from Royal Blood or Amaya Kagami from Eternals."
"Wow!"
"I love Amaya!"
"I love those anime shows!"
"I'm quite a few other voices too, but I don't have the time to name the others. Those were my two most popular. If you want to know more just look me up," I say.
"Well, that's an amazing achievement," the teacher says. "Please go take a seat."
Of course I end up right behind my brother, not that I mind. What's annoying is I'm stuck between Tamaki and him. Right behind me sits Tamaki.
~~~
Well, school is finally over. Guess what? Tamaki, Kyoya, and I have all the same class periods. How the hell does that even happen? This year is going to be reeeeally long. Anyway, since I'm taking Kyoya home, I have to stay after school with him at his and Tamaki's stupid club. A host club. How the hell did Kyoya ever agree to this? I can't even imagine Kyoya hosting people. It's completely out of his character. I don't want to go, and listening to Tamaki rant about it all day makes me want to not go even more.
"You'll love it!" Tamaki says. "You could even request a host yourself!"
"No thank you."
"Don't say that till you get there," Tamaki says.
"How many people are in this club?" I ask.
"Including Tamaki and I, seven," Kyoya says.
"Are they all like Tamaki?" I ask.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Tamaki whines with tears in his eyes.
"All, but three," Kyoya replies. "One being me."
Tamaki goes to slouch in the corner for the umpteenth time today. I roll my eyes.
"Great," I groan. "What room is it in?"
"Music room 3. The one right here."
We enter the room and Tamaki follows, not wanting to be left alone. He drags himself along the floor in the process though. A pair of orange haired twins rush up to me and look straight into my eyes.
"Ever heard of personal space?" I fuss.
"Who're you?" they ask in sync.
"Who're you?" I mock.
"Don't copy us!"
"Don't copy us!" I mimic.
"La blah dab hah gah!"
"La blah dab hah gah!" I yell.
"Ughh!"
I laugh. "I'm an Ootori. To be more specific I'm the other half of the Ootori twins."
"You're a twin?!" a little boy rushes up with a pink bunny. "That's cool!"
"I didn't know you had twins in your family, Kyoya," a brown haired girl in a boy's uniform says.
"Why does she get to wear a boy's uniform?!" I fuss at Kyoya.
"Because everyone thinks she's a boy," he answers.
"That's a stupid reason," I pout.
"How could you tell Haru-chan was a girl?" the little boy asks.
(Chan?) "She doesn't have a Adam's apple," I answer. "Simple stuff. Not like all the other idiotic rich kids here."
"I agree with that," the girl says. "I'm Haruhi Fujioka, first year, class 1-A."
"We're the Hitachiin twins," the twins say. They point to each other. "Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin. We're first years also and in class 1-A too."
"I'm Mitsukuni Haninozuka, but you can call me Honey. This is Takashi Morinozuka, but he goes by Mori. We're both third years, class 3-A."
(I didn't know third years could be so cute.) "Nice to meet you," I say. "I'm Miyako Ootori, same class, classes, and year as Kyoya."
"Wait, you said you were a twin and if you're in the same year as Kyoya..." Haruhi says.
"You're Kyoya's twin sister?!" everyone yells.
"Guilty as charged."
"Why didn't you ever tell us you had a twin?!" the twins shout.
"It never came up in a conversation," Kyoya admits.
"She should be a hostess in the host club!" the twins say.
"Absolutely not," brother and I say.
"You could be the Shadow Queen!" they say.
"I do like how that sounds. The Shadow Queen." I grin.
"Don't," Kyoya says.
"Don't tell me what to do. Remember, I do what I want," I remind him.
He sighs. "Of course I do."
"Then from this day on I'm known as The Shadow Queen!" I exclaim.
"You can be the Shadow twins!" Tamaki exclaims. "Kyoya!"
"No," brother says.
"What do I get if I join?" I ask.
"You can have as many sweets as you want with me!" Honey says.
"Sweets?" I question.
"Oh no..." Tamaki and brother say.
"You have sweets?"
"Lot and lots of sweets! Want to come eat some strawberry cake with me?"
"I would love too!" I cheer.
"Miya is obsessed with sweets about as much as you do, Honey-senpai," brother says.
"Really?! Yay! We can eat cake together all day!" Honey cheers.
"I'll just sit with you during host hours," I say.
"Then you won't be a hostess with Kyoya!" Tamaki complains.
"I get special privileges because I'm Kyoya's sister."
"That's illogical," brother sighs. "You eat as much if not more than Honey-senpai."
"More than Honey-senpai?!" Haruhi yells.
"I can eat 6 whole cakes in 10 seconds."
"I could probably do that if I wanted to," Honey says and pouts. "I usually limit myself to 3."
"We all know you could," the twins say.
"Miyako, we're about to open for the club. Join Kyoya when you think you're ready," Tamaki says.
"No, I think I'll hang out with Honey-senpai," I say.
He pouts, but lets all the guests enter. The girls who come over to Honey and Mori's section look at me surprised and with a tinge of jealousy. I smirk evilly and shove my cake in my mouth, all the while staring right into their eyes. They shiver nervously.
"Hi, ladies! This is Miya-chan, Kyo-chan's twin sister!" Honey introduces us.
"Miyako Ootori, pleasure to meet you," I grin.
