Lucas POV
I waited and waited for the bell to ring. I just wanted to get out of this stupid school.
BRING BRING BRINNNNNNNNNG!!!
Yes! Right on cue!!
I ran out of the classroom and into the hallway.
I saw Maya.
Bingo.
I ran up to her.
"Hey Maya." I smiled.
Then she did the strangest thing.
She glared at me and rolled her eyes.
Then she slammed her locker shut and stomped off.
And I just stood there. Shocked.
Riley's POV
(Important note: this happened 5 hours before the other part.)
I called Missy.
Over.
And over.
And over.
And I got voicemail.
Over.
And over.
And over.
That's when I went to her house.
1 hour before school started.
I knocked on her window.
After several seconds, she opened the window.
Missy's POV
"Um hello,... Riley. W-what are you doing here?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"That isn't important!!"
"What do you want?"
"Well I want you to listen to me!!!"
"Fine."
"Okay we're skipping school today."
"WHAT??! Dude, you realize that your dads gonna kill you, right?"
"Oh it's fine."
"How is skipping school fine?"
"Relax. I told my dad that i wasn't feeling well and that I wouldn't make it to school on time. Works like a charm."
"So we're still going to school, right?"
"Yeah Yeah."
"Okay- wait what am I gonna tell my parents?"
"The same thing."
"Okay."
But yeah I was aware that I had just promised to help Maya. But I will. Somehow.
15 minutes later...
"Okay Missy let me see your phone."
"Why should I?"
"Because your I'm best friend. Duh!"
"Fine."
She typed for a while.
"There! Wanna see what I texted Maya from 'Lucas '?" She said with a sneaky smile.
"No."
"Since when?"
"Since now."
"Oh well I'm gonna show you anyway."

"Oh My Gosh!!! How did you- why did you-" I stuttered.
"I hacked into Lucas's account." She said.
"YOU DID WHAT?!!"
"I...hacked...into....Lucas's-" said Riley slowly, like I was a half deaf preschooler.
"I know what you did! Why did you do that?"
"Because I can. And I'm sending it."
"RILEY NOOO!!!" I screamed.
"Missy yes."
"I have to go."
"What?"
"I said I have to go. Bye."
I darted out of the front door.
When I finally made it to school, it was too late.
Maya had already seen the text.
Lucas had already been hurt.
Riley had already sent the text. And it was over.
I tried to warn Maya but I failed. Failed as an attempting friend.
Maya's POV
"Hey Maya." I turned and saw Lucas.
I glared at him and rolled my eyes.
How dare he speak to me. After what he texted me.
I slammed my locker shut and stomped away.
"I hate you Lucas...I hate you." I muttered under my breath.
