The purple hair boy with scowl plastered on his face walk through the forest trying to search for spot to call it a day. He arrive at the lake and saw a Dragonair swimming around.

He smirk, "What a day?" and bring out the pokeball and throw it toward the pokemon.

 Dragonair noticed the pokeball and hit it with its tail bouncing it off toward the boy who easily catch it.

"What?" exclaim the confuse boy. "Could it be?"

"Sorry about that." Come a new voice making him turn and saw a girl with reddish brown hair with dark red and white cap coming out the bushes with Pikachu and Eevee hanging on each shoulder. "That Dragonair belong to me. That why you can't catch it."

"Huh, whatever. It probably just another weak pokemon."

 Dragonair make noise in protest while the girl just unfazed by the boy rudeness. "Well, that harsh. You don't have to be bitter just because you won't able to catch it." The girl said while walking toward the Dragonair and call it back to it pokeball. She smile at it, "You done good job today, get some rest."

"Why the hell should I? I'm only stating the truth." He smirk.

 "Whatever you say." She just wave him off as both pokemon on her shoulder jump off and start running around making her laugh.

The boy become mad at her nonchalantly attitude and suggest, "Why don't we have a battle?"

The girl look at the boy and smile, "Sure why don't? But first may I know who I'm battling with?"

He smirk, "Huh, trying to know who will be beating you." Then his expression turn serious, "The name is Paul."

"Well, nice to meet you Paul. I'm Nyla." She introduced herself with smile plastered on her face. "Would you mind if it'll double battle? I want to try some of the combination move that I think of."

"Sure, I'll beat you anyway." He confidently state. "Now, came out Chimchar, Elekid." Paul call out his pokemon.

 "I'll battle with my Pikachu and Eevee." Both pokemon step forward ready to fight. "Why don't you have the first move?" she offer.

Paul smirk, "You're funeral. Now Elekid use thunder and Chimchar use flame wheel." He command.

Elekid shot thunder attack with Chimchar rolling toward the opponent with flame wheel. Paul smirk but saw how calm Nyla is and both her pokemon not moving at all. 'How can she be so calm?'

The girl wait for the right moment and watch as Paul grow frustrate with her calmness. As Paul's pokemon get closer she call out, "Not both of you, use return." With that Pikachu and Eevee jump closer and use return that cause Chimchar and thunder attack collide and flew off hitting Elekid making both of them unable to battle.

Paul was so shock that he didn't realize what just happen. He look at his fainted pokemon, and back to the laughing girl with her pokemon jumping around celebrating their victory. "How can that be?"

"How can that be possible?" he mutter still not believing it.

"I'm sorry to say that it seem I won the battle." Nyla informed the boy.

"I would like a rematch with only one pokemon." Shout the boy. "I still can't accept that I just lose to someone like you."

Nyla sigh, "Fine then. I'm sorry about this. Come out Dragonair." The girl call out her Dragonair.

Paul smile, "Alright then, Weavile, stand by for battle."

"Ice type huh?" whistle the girl.

"Why don't you attack first?" suggest the boy.

The shrugged, "Okay then, Dragonair use aqua tail."

Dragonair make a battle cry as it jump and whip her tail toward Weavile.

"Big mistake, now Weavile use ice beam."

It obey and shoot ice beam toward the opponent. Paul smirk 'Take that. Huh?' but fall when he look at the smirking girl. He then look at the battle and saw Dragonair use aqua tail and accept the ice beam frozen up her tail. 'What?'

"Dragonair now!" the said pokemon used her frozen tail and hit Weavile causing it to fly off. "Now use flamethrower!"

"Weavile dodged it!" the command but it was too late since it was in disadvantage in the air causing to be shoot by flamethrower and fall I defeat.

Paul gritted his teeth and solemnly call back his pokemon. He look at the girl who was petting and congratulate her Dragonair along with Pikachu and Eevee jumping around, 'How can I lose to her.' He with head hanging low walk toward the girl.

Nyla look at Paul who in shame walk toward her, "That was a nice battle."

Paul huff annoyed, "Yeah, because you win that is."

"Oh come on. Don't be so grumpy." The girl said try to cheer him up along with Pikachu and Eevee.

"Yeah, whatever." He say and walk away.

"Hey wait up." The girl call out.

"Huh?" Paul spun and saw the girl run at him along with both her pokemon on her shoulder.

"You're going to the Pokemon center right?"

"Obviously."

"Then, I going with you."

"Huh?! Why that?"

"To heal my pokemon of course, silly." She roll her eye.

The boy was dumbfounded and sigh, "Whatever."

The walk in silent accept for Pikachu and Eevee playing around chasing each other.

Paul narrow his eyes at Eevee and ask, "Is it me or is that Eevee look different?"

"Oh, i'm surprise you notice, it a shiny Eevee. I found it when I was little. It was in some kind of trap. Some people try illegally catch and sell it but I manage so I save it and we become best buddy until now."

"Oh, how about that Pikachu, did you catch it?"

She shake her head, "Nope, I get it from my grandma. After seeing that I was able to take care of Eevee, she gave me an egg that she obtain from her old friend which turn out to be a Pichu egg. It evolve during our journey at Johto region."

"Why didn't you evolve them? Both of them can use evolution stone to evolve after all."

"I never thought about that. I just love the way they're but if one day they decided to evolve, I'll let them."

"Huh, sound pathetic."

Nyla glance at Paul and smile, "I think it was brilliant." The boy just look the other way not wanting to argue with the stubborn girl.
