alright I probably won't post this bc i know there are a lot of furries and therians on this app, many of whom I am friends with, but before I say anything else I would like to clarify something:

this is not aimed at the good ones. I know that there are kind furries and therians who act normal except for the fact that they believe they were born as the wrong species. I'm not trying to harm you, and even if you aren't one of the good ones, it isn't personal. I've met a lot of furries irl, and honestly, none of the experiences have been good.

for example: barking, cat fighting, eating cat/dog food, walking around on all fours, wearing tails/ears to school. 

^you can go do all those things on your own time, sure, I don't care, it's really none of my business. but when you bring it to school? it's kind of weird. like I don't think anyone wants to see a middle schooler on all fours prancing around the hallways like a dog--unironically (or ironically that's kinda weird). 

okay, so I don't hate furries. that's established. being completely honest here (bc I'm never gonna publish this), I will say that I think it's a weird idea, with even weirder execution. why is your boyfriend walking you around on a leash? that should stay in the bedroom, please. the public doesn't need to see that. 

I mean, it's sort of the same as a lot of weird habits I have. for example--I have a mannequin in my room. she was twenty bucks at a thrift store, and I like to dress her up in dresses I've worn to previous school dances, and her name is Brenda. I wouldn't go around school showing pictures of Brenda and talking about her as if she's a real person to classmates I don't know very well, because that would be weird. none of them would want to hear about Brenda, and if they did, it would be ironically and they would be making fun of me. even though I like Brenda and think she's pretty great, Brenda stays at home and with my close friends. 

honestly though, in conclusion--you do you. if you truly don't care what others think of you, go be that furry, as long as you're not disrupting anyone in public (bc then it gets annoying). but I know that personally, I care very much what others think about me (irl, at least), and could not handle the social rejection that I've found comes with being a furry.
