I've been using Instagram for about four years now I think, and to be honest I think it's a really cool thing. It's allowed me to rekindle friendships which I had forgotten, and let's me see what everyone gets up to. As well as this, I can see what my favourite celebs are doing, what's popping, and generally kill boredom.

But obviously, as with any social media platform, Instagram can be a nasty place. Hell, a few years ago a 'gossip girl' page was set up by someone in my year to spread nasty rumours about people. We all know the stories of cyber bulling that takes place on Instagram.

But if I'm honest, as long as you're on private, only let people you know follow you and don't post anything too ridiculous, Instagram is just a bit of fun. I think if you're sensible and safe on it, it's a really nice way to connect with friends.
