Bonus chapter
Sunghoon's POV
"Thea!" I yelled, ducking just in time to avoid a punch from a man at least one and a half times larger than me.
"Don't cry like a baby, Dipshit. I'm coming in a minute." I heard Thea's voice through the ear piece, followed by her humming a song under her breath and taking her sweet time packing guns for us. I jumped and rolled around, kicking another man's shin while elbowing someone who had sneaked up behind me.
"If I die, I'll haunt you." I spoke loud enough for her to hear, punching someone's nose and another goon's hand to disarm him.
"Aww, such sweet words." She said in a sarcastic tone knowing I could do very well without that but sadly, being sarcastic is basically her identity now. "Put those muscles to use about which you flex about at our home the entire time. I'll bring in our chicks."
Ah yes, our chicks.
After I had taught Thea how to aim properly in return to her giving me lessons for combat, she had taken over my privilege just me calling my guns 'chicks' and insisted that they were our chicks now.
But since I had too become a ninja without a sword, I didn't really mind sharing my prized possessions with my girlfriend—
Well, fiancée. She insists I mention her as that since she's bored of the word 'girlfriend' now especially after I presented her with a ring a month back.
Don't worry, you guys didn't miss anything. She just shed few tears and then smacked me on my arm for doing it later than she had expected. After that we had to run catch some dumbfucks on loose.
Right after I avoided getting hit by a wooden chair thrown by some crazy guy, I grimaced as our enemy yelled more men to fight me while he simply cowered behind a casino table that was flipped on it's side, the coins scattered on the ground.
"Any time now, Bubbles." I muttered, staring at four men approaching me at the same time when the doors flew open, a female with shoulder length hair and blonde highlights coming with with guns hanging from her pockets and two in her hands, her white tee already dirtied with speckles of blood, her face glistening with sweat.
"You called?" She yelled over the noise of bullets being shot, one of the gun in her hand constantly firing at the men in front of her as they dropped dead on the ground one by one like some cartoon movie.
"You're late." I rolled my eyes, catching the gun she threw at me which was in her other hand.
"I kinda like seeing you freak out a bit." She joked, shooting a guy who had somehow found a gun on the floor that was scattered with casino coins, money and well, bodies.
"What kind of kink is that?!" I exclaimed, when I realised everything around us had suddenly fallen silent. I looked around, seeing that no one was left alive to some and attack us except the idiot who thought he was very smart hiding behind the most obvious spot.
Thea burst out laughing at my statement, winking in my direction before walking towards the hiding spot casually pointing the gun in front of her in case the criminal had any thoughts.
"It's over, Sebastian. You're under arrest."

"At one point I thought you ditched me." I mumbled as Thea sat in front of me, wiping the cut on my forehead.
We were sitting on the edge of the boot of our car, a pack of med supplies open on Thea's lap as she attended to my minor wounds; most of the sweat and dust wiped off clean with some wet towels. It had already been some time after we took in Sebastian, the police letting us go after we reassured them that we'll be fine.
"I would but I accidently happen to love you, so..." She trailed off, placing a comforting kiss on my forehead. "I sensed we'd need arms so I had to run back to the car." She added, turning around at the police cars that were parked a bit father away from us, some of their sirens still blaring since their arrival.
"Jayoung texted me she had to stop Jake's wife from yelling at her husband after he had jokingly suggested that he should name their newborn girl after some noodle company." Thea spoke up, a faint smile on her lips. I accidently burst out laughing too hard, accidently hitting my head on the body of the car. The female sitting in front of me let out a huge sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose.
Just a few days back when we were travelling, Heeseung had told us that the couple had just become parents. It was pretty weird at first but after sometime, our happiness knew no bounds.
"You will never learn, will you?" She asked, raising one of her eyebrows. I grinned at her statement, stretching out my arms and engulfing her into a hug.
"I can't loose any opportunity to annoy you, can I?" I questioned, earning an inappropriate curse from her. "Love that pissed off expression of yours."
"Ayo, where is the Sunghoon I knew?" Thea enquired in surprise but even though I couldn't see her face, I knew she was probably smiling while saying it.
It was pretty clear that she was joking but in a way, she was right. Ever since we had started dating, both of us had somehow managed to take care of each other better than ourselves alone, helping one another to get over our past hardships and the things which had haunted us.
Now, she no longer felt guilty of her and friend's death and I had accepted my past failed mission, moving on from it. Sure, we couldn't ever forget those instances but somehow, we had managed to help those triggering memories strengthen us.
A comfortable silence fell, though sometimes we could hear policemen yelling but after all this time, it all had become pretty normal for us. After a few minutes, Thea shifted against me and pulled apart from my arms, closing the medical supplies box.
Thea's POV
"I can't wait to go back home. It's almost a month we've been travelling for this mission." Sunghoon said wistfully, scooting closer to me and pulling me into a side hug.
Well, he must feel very clingy today. Usually it's the other way but not that I'm complaining.
Ugh, that sounds so lovesick.
I let out a deep sigh, humming in agreement. "Eighteen months and six missions. Not so bad, partner." Sunghoon chuckled at my statement, looking at the red and blue lights flashing in a distance, one by one the cars driving away. Now only the streetlights illuminated some parts of the casino parking lot dimly, the area where our car was parked being in the darkness.
"What if I suggest Mr. Brown to let us train the new recruits for the next six months? We can get a nice break for ourselves— maybe even relax and go on with life at a normal pace." He suggested, turning his head around to look at me. I smiled to myself, very well knowing what all he was referring too. Hugging his arm, I leaned my head on his shoulder, looking forward but not really focusing onto anything except the moment.
"And maybe you can finally gift me the music system I've been telling you about." I stated flatly, causing him to protest immediately.
"Why are you so expensive?" He wondered aloud, a disgusted expression replacing the peaceful smile he had on his face. "Always finding ways to burn a hole into my wallet." He added, shaking his head to himself. I laughed at his behavior, finding it really cute. Of course I knew he was just pulling my leg, otherwise he would not have any hands to pull anyone's leg.
"I'm gonna be your wife, dude. You'll be my slave till we die."
"And who the fuck said that?"
"Me, of course."
"What am I even gonna do with you." Sunghoon looked at me at if I was some mischievous puppy who had torn apart all of his pillows and the living room couch but too cute to be scolded or even get mad at. I showed off a cheeky grin, followed by him ruffling my hair.
"Imagine if we get to babysit when we get back." I said with him scoffing at the thought right after. "What?" I interjected, surprised at the reaction.
"You think that paranoid of a man will even consider us as an option? He would rather trust Heeseung and Jayoung." He muttered dejectedly, clicking his tongue.
"Hey! I am a very responsible person." I argued, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Yeah man, after today I totally believe that you will not threaten the baby over gas flame if it cries too much." He stated cockily, earning a very deserved hard slap on his shoulder.
"And I can totally see you teaching the kid to use guns as soon as he starts standing up." I sneered, my eyes narrowed. He rolled his eyes, waving his hand dismissively at me.
"I'll teach ours. A little self defense doesn't hurt."
"Not on my watch, mister! You shall not, I repeat, not include our kid in any sort of violence." I threatened him, pointing my index finger in front of his face.
"Oh come on, what if the school has bullies, then?" Sunghoon protested, at this point practically trying to beg his way into teaching violence. I slapped my forehead, witnessing him go on ramble how he should teach fighting methods as his duty as a dad, trying to win the argument.
Finally after a good few minutes he stopped, noticing how I had been silently laughing all this time, just observing him.
"What?" He asked, completely clueless.
"I can't believe you started from school bullying went all the way up to college fights." I replied, silent chuckles already spilling out of my mouth. He gave me an embarrassed smile, which suddenly turned into a smirk right after. This time, I was the one staring at him like a clueless child.
"Speaking of kids," He began, inching his face towards me. "Are you interested to see how we obtain them?" He added suggestively, my eyes widening at his question instantly.
"Sunghoon!" I yelled, scrambling out of the car boot and standing on the ground, aiming and throwing the med box in my hand at his face. Surprisingly, he caught it though he was laughing too hard to even sit straight at this point.
Yes, Agent Dipshit here makes suggestive jokes to his fiancée who is wearing a blood splattered white t-shirt; even after being injured and beaten up.
God, I wonder if he has accidently knocked out his braincells earlier this evening.
"You should have seen your face!" He yelled, peals of laughter erupting from his mouth. "I should do this more often."
"You fucking son of a b—" I was about to curse when my phone started ringing, interrupting me. I flipped him off, reaching my phone whilst the male behind me let out an obnoxiously loud gasp.
"Why are you guys wasting your time there? Your flight's in two hours and the airport is more than an hour away!" Heeseung's panicked voice could be heard from the other side of the call, though he was supposed to be offline by now but perhaps seeing our being stuck at the location may have alarmed him. "There's no way I am going to reschedule it again for the third time. Swimming across the ocean doesn't seem bad."
"Don't worry, we can reach in time. I can get us there in forty." I suggested, making Sunghoon who was heading back towards the rear of the car to shut the boot whip his heard around to look at me in sheer terror.
"No, Thea. For god's sake you will not drive at that speed again. I'll actually have a heart attack this time." He pleaded but ignored him, opening the door to driver's seat.
I heard Sunghoon grumble something but I closed the door before hearing him clearly. Soon after a few seconds, he sat down on the passenger seat, turning around to look at me.
"Are we going to show up to the airport like this? We look like we were engaged in a nasty fight."
"Which is actually true." I shrugged my shoulders, starting the car. "We can freshen up in a gas station."
"Oh no." He muttered, face crunching up in disgust but this time, is was genuine.
Buttercup here might have changed a bit but his habit of complaining had not gone yet, unfortunately.
"Oh yes." I smiled brightly, fastening my seatbelt. Sunghoon mirrored my actions, looking up in sky's direction and closing his eyes. I revved the engine, switching on the music system.
"Heeseung, we're on our way."
