Native species of Monster Island Part One
Monster Island has a wide range of animals that lived were brought there due to mostly time traveling and others were introduced to the island continent around several thousands of years ago and later evolved to be new species and subspecies due to living in Monster Island.
They are found throughout the jungles, savannas, glaciers, foothills, lowlands, semi-deserts, alpine meadows, wetlands, boreal birch forests, prairies, scrublands, rocky deserts, temperate grasslands, bamboo forests, rocky deserts, snowy fields, redwood forests, lowlands, steppes, floodplains, rocky mountains, boreal forests, highlands, mountainous plateaus, alpine grasslands, moorlands, tropical grasslands, taiga forests, snowy mountains, temperate forests, icy caves, alpine meadows, temperate woodlands and arctic and tundra regions.
Herbivores:
1. Monster Island ibex: A species of ibex native to Monster Island. They are descendants of walia ibexes, Pyrenean ibexes, feral goats, alpine ibexes and Nubian ibexes that were brought to Monster Island and hybridized with each other, forming a new species. They are found throughout the prairies, highlands, steppes, temperate forests, moorlands, rocky deserts, lowlands, temperate grasslands, rocky mountains, temperate woodlands and alpine meadows of Monster Island. They are now slightly larger and stockier than their ancestors. They lived in large herds up to hundreds due to many predators around.
2. Monster Island tahr: A large species of tahr native to Monster Island. They are descendants of Himalayan tahrs that were brought to Monster Island. They are now slightly larger and bulkier than their ancestors. They are found throughout the steppes, alpine grasslands, moorlands, prairies, snowy mountains, lowlands, scrublands, rocky mountains, highlands, temperate grasslands, alpine meadows and mountainous plateaus. They lived in large herds up to hundreds due to many predators around.
3. Monster Island oryx: A large species of oryx native to Monster Island. They are descendants of gemsboks, scimitar oryxes and Arabian oryxes that were brought to Monster Island and hybridized with each other, forming a new species. They are now larger than their ancestors, about the size of a Roosevelt elk. They are found throughout the savannas, prairies, tropical grasslands, steppes, alpine meadows, semi-deserts, rocky deserts, lowlands, temperate grasslands, scrublands and alpine grasslands. They lived in large herds up to hundreds due to many predators around.
4. Monster Island elk: A large subspecies of elk native to Monster Island. They are descendants of Roosevelt elks, eastern elks and Merriam's elks that were brought to Monster Island and hybridized with each other, forming a new subspecies. They are now slightly larger and bulkier than their ancestors. They are found throughout the lowlands, alpine meadows, prairies, taiga forests, scrublands, redwood forests, temperate grasslands, steppes, boreal forests, temperate woodlands, highlands, alpine grasslands and rocky deserts.
