Atem's thoughts/talking

Yami's thoughts/talking

M

"Hey Yami. Isn't Yugi-sensei take a bit too long in the restroom?"

"Now that I think about it," Yami thought over before looking at the time.

"Yeah. Yugi should be out by now."

"Should I check?"

"Maybe."

Yami watch as Joey ran off to find their sensei. He couldn't help but feel as if something terrible is going to happen soon.

What's wrong Yami?

Yami shivered a little when Atem's conscious finally woke up.

I don't know. Something about this doesn't feel right for some reason.

Like what?

Well...for starters. That man that Yugi defeated doesn't seem to be the type who would cause all this trouble just to go and have a hamburger.

Atem search through Yami's memories before replying.

Have you forgotten that his actions were merely to get revenge on those heroes who protect their people from those who are unjustified?

Yes well...it's true that he was in the wrong-using civilians for his evil deeds-but I can't help but feel as if there's more to his actions than before.

Are you saying that it was a trap?

A trap?

Think about it. All the incidents that have been happening seem connected somehow.

Like what?

Do you remember when that girl-Tea I believe- threatened you for loving Yugi?

Uh. Yes? Atem what are you saying?

Yami. I know that she has been your classmate for a long time. That means you know what the kind of girl she is.

Yes. But-

Is Tea the kind of girl who would threaten someone just to get what she wants for herself?

Everything seems to stop as Yami plunder through what Atem had just say. Now that he thought of it Tea has always been the most helpful person and only threaten those who were in the wrong. His intentions for loving Yugi doesn't seem to fit Tea's list of "victims" with criminal records. Also, would she be the type to blackmail others?

The feeling grew more rooted as a sense of dread start to fill in his mind.

"Yami!"

Faster than a blink of an eye, Yami quickly turn back to Joey to see him running back at full speed.

"Y-Yami!" Joey pant as he tries to regain some oxygens back into his lungs.

"What happened? Where's Yugi?"

"I-I don't know man. B-But you....y-you should see so yourself. You're not going to like this."

Yami wasted no time yanking Joey by the arm and dragging him back to the restroom that Joey just returned. Once the bathroom is in viewpoint, Yami let Joey go and quickly barge inside. What he saw sent shivers and fear all over him.

On the wall was an image of two wings painted in bloody colors. The words below it continue to sent fear through Yami as he silently read them.

Listen close as fear draws near

For those who dare tries to interfere

Heed thy words or you'll be next

Because he who seeks to protects

Will die with a burning neck

"Yeah. I feel the same way." Joey said as they realized what had happened.

Yugi's gone.

"Rise and shine~ My sweet angel~"

Yugi's head was spinning as he tries to bring focus to his vision. At first, everything was blurry. All the lighting and shapes were too mashed up together and he groans in pain from a headache.

"Now now. Can't wait all day for you right? You have to wake up and play with me~."

"W-Who are you?"

It took a while before Yugi was able to get a clear view of the man before him. He is a bit on the short side, but still taller by a few inches or so than Yugi. He has purple hair that went past his shoulders and onto the mid-section of his back. He has a green cloak tied with dark purple beads and red jewels around his neck. With the most straightforward items of clothing-black t-shirt and dirty sweatpants-most may say he's a homeless guy, but when he saw a star on his forehead......everything just got even weirder.

"Hehe~ I am known as the most powerful fortune magician within the Spirit World, Kokurano."

Yugi continues to stare at him.

"Nope. The name doesn't ring a bell."

"What!? Doesn't anyone tell you? I am the great Kokurano! The man who knows all, see all, tells all! That man!"

"Nope."

"Are you sure?"

"Definitely."

"Not even the "knows all, see all, and tell all" part?"

"Absolutely."

Yugi started to look around. He was already getting to get bored with this man. How was he able to ambush him without him noticing was an astonishment.

Damn.

Yugi starts to inspect his surroundings. Everywhere he looks he could only assume the place he's being held captive in is an abandoned giant tent with holes up on the ceilings, wooden floors still presumably strong enough to hold individual weights, and every benches and exit doors are all locked and rusted.

"If you think that you can escape, then you can just forget it. I magically enhance those chains, so whenever you try to use your magic, they will zap away your life." He chuckled as he continues to watch the situation before him. His eyes scan everything in sight and Yugi shivered when his eyes slowly memorize him as if he was some masterpiece that is just waiting to be torn apart; he took note of the way his beefy hands twitch in anticipation.

"What will little angel going to do now? Beg? Scream? Cry? Or better yet, play a game with me~"

"You're sick you fraudulent psychic." Yugi hissed, while glaring daggers at him.

"Tsk tsk tsk. You shouldn't get to work about "this," Kokurana emphasizes himself with the wave of his hand before slamming them down on Yugi's face. Yugi gasps in shock and pain before bracing himself to take the many blows on his head, stomach, legs-basically everywhere he pleases.

"This. Is. What. You. Get. For. Being. Rude. To. Me!"

For each word spoken lays another row of torture coming Yugi's way. Yugi is far too weak to fight back before he found himself losing consciousness.

"Oi~! Wake up!"

That was the last thing he remembered before his mind retreated from the pain and into the darkness.

________________________________________________________________________________

"Tsk! He passed out."

Kokurana sigh in disappointment. All the trouble to finally get the man who he was ordered to capture is merely a waste of his time. Although......

Kokurana's eyes roam every part of Yugi's vulnerabilities before he silent said, "Maybe we can still play~."

With that thought, he slowly made his way closer while his hands finally get to have what it wants since the beginning. However, before his fingers could cover up the distances, the exit door on his right projected a horrifying sound of entry.

"Stop right there."

Kokurana's excitement got replaced as he turns to the intruders.

"H-How did you find us?" He didn't realize it, but he began to sweat when Yami and Joey glared at him deathly. Yami immediately zeroes in on Yugi and the feeling of stomach dropped at the sight of him.

"What."

His voice slowly got higher in anger with each words flowing out of his mouth.

"-did you do to him!"

It only took a few seconds to regain back his composure before he smirked.

"I was simply punishing him for being rude to me."

"By beating him to death!"

Kokurana shrug carelessly. His absentminded head made Yami's mode of anger gone up to "piss off."

Yami. Listen to me. You don't want anger to control you. Remember what Yugi taught you.

At the thought of Yugi-sensei, he quickly tries to regain back his composure.

Atem. Do you know who this guy is?

No. But so far, his arrogant is the only thing coming out of his mouth.

Right. How about he tries the provoking technique.

You took the words out of my mouth.

At the sight of Yami just staring at him with an unamused face irks Kokurana for some reason.

"What? What are you staring at?"

Yami stayed silent before he said, "You're sad. Seriously."

Kokurana stayed silent as Yami continue to talk.

"I hate to be a downer but you're seriously dropping way too much drama into this situation. I mean. The first thing that a person should at least do is introduce himself first. That's just plain rude~."

Kokurana narrowed his eyes before he smirked back and introduced himself.

"I am Kokurana! The greatest magician of the-"

"What? I thought Yugi is the greatest magician of the world. Oh, wait. He is."

Kokurana growled at Yami for interrupting him.

"I should burn you now if you want to die that badly."

"Oh sure. Go ahead. That just means that you will lose the game by forfeit. I mean, you do want to play don't you~?"

Yami's voice is taunting as he crosses both his arms over the other and rests them on his chest, while his eyes are half open with the corner of his mouth stretching up upward.

"I know what you're up too. You're simply just baiting me!"

"Am I?"

"Yes!"

"How would you know?"

"I do know! I can predict the future! I and the greatest psychic magician in both the Human and the Spirit World."

"I can't say that the whole "world" knows about you, but we'll keep it that way just to play the game...or are you simply a fraud?"

"I am not a fraud! I am real! My powers are unimaginable. They can predict anything in every single being instantly!"

"Oh? You sound confident."

"I am, you sh*ty bastard!"

We'll see about that.

"If you're so confident in your prediction, then let see if you win against me."

"Fine!"

With that one, the trap is finally done.

Is it ready?

Of course.

Good.

"Kokurana, its game time."

Game: Start!
