Harry looked out of his living room large window , seeing Geoff watering the flowers . It was Sunday morning and since Harry slept in , he hadn't taken the dogs on their walk yet . So , he had an idea .

He walked out of his house and crossed the road , smiling at Geoff . "Hi Geoff , good morning ."

Geoff smiled back , "Good morning . You doing okay ?"

"Yeah , I'm great . Uh , is - is Louis home ?" He asked , Geoff raised his eyebrows a bit . "Yeah , he is . Did something happen ?"

"Oh no , it's just - I'm taking the pups on their walk , and I was wondering if I could take Louis with me . Is that okay ?"

Geoff's heart melted at his request . He nodded with a wide smile , "It sounds perfect . Thank you for asking , it means a lot ."

Harry smiled back , "I , I was kind of hoping I could grow closer to him that way . If - if that's okay with you , of course ."

Geoff's smile widened as he nodded , "Yeah , of course . I'll go call him down so you can ask him ."

Harry nodded and watched him walking into the house , he waited on the porch and just couldn't wipe the grin off his lips .

Soon enough the door cracked open , Louis peeked outside before opening the door wider .

"Hi ." Harry smiled , watching as Louis slipped outside to the porch to stand in front of him . "I uh , I wanted to ask you - I'm taking the pups on a walk , so .. do you want to join me ? All three of us would love it if you tagged along ."

Louis' eyes widened in surprise , but Harry could tell he was excited . He was about to nod but turned his head to Geoff , who nodded at him , so he turned back to Harry and nodded , his lips twitching up ever so slightly .

"Great . I'll go get the pups ready and meet you here in ten minutes , is that okay ?"

Louis nodded again , Harry grinned , "Perfect ."

Harry held the two dogs' leashes as he walked up to Louis' porch , smiling when the door opened and Louis walked out . The two waved at Geoff and Liam before they closed the door behind Louis , Harry handed Louis the two leashes , "There you go ."

Louis took the leashes , blushing when their hands brushed together . Harry smiled to himself , Louis' hands were actually quite soft , and so small compared to his own .

They started walking down the street , the two dogs were thrilled to have Louis with them , as they kept close to him and wagged their tails .

Harry loved the way Louis' shoulders weren't tensed , he kept looking down at the two dogs with so much softness in his eyes . He made sure to walk close to him , even though Mojo was walking between them , and the large dog wasn't allowing him to get closer .

"These two absolutely love you ." Harry said with a smile , "I think they're starting to love you more than they love me ." He teased , causing Louis to look down shyly and shake his head , cheeks deep red with blush .

Harry just smiled to himself , "If you want , I brought a tennis ball aswell , we could go to the park for a bit , the pups could use a good run to let their energy out ."

Louis nodded ; he liked the two large dogs . And Harry ... Harry was truly trying to gain the smaller boy's trust . Louis could tell Harry was trying , hell , it was the closest he's been to anyone apart from his family in years . But on the other side , it wasn't real . It was his imagination making him think Harry cares .

Harry couldn't help his interest in Louis . His small figure and blue eyes drew him in , he found him really cute . He couldn't wait to see him smiling , proper smiling with crinkles by his eyes , or hear him laugh , or hear his voice . He really wanted to know what the boy sounded like .

Soon enough they reached the park , the dogs got a little bit too excited and tugged Louis along with their leashes , Louis tightened his hold on the leashes and resisted their pulling . Though the two large dogs managed to tag him along a little bit before Harry came to help .

"There , I'll handle these two beasts ." Harry took a hold of their leashes , Louis released his hold and watched Harry taking control of the two dogs . His gaze moved to his biceps which flexed under his shirt , he blushed and looked away as he walked with him , making sure there was a bit of distance between them .

"You see that bench ?" Harry nodded his head forward to a wooden bench , Louis nodded . Harry smiled softly , "We'll go sit there , I'll unleash the beasts and let them run around a little . Alright ?"

Louis nodded again and followed Harry , they reached the bench , Harry took a seat and unleashed the two dogs , chuckling when the two took off running across the grass field . Louis hesitantly took a seat aswell , his hands folded in his lap .

"It's a nice morning , eh ?" Harry commented , Louis nodded a little . Harry smiled , "I like relaxed mornings . Just chill a little longer in bed , take the dogs out , go back home for breakfast , catch up on my TV shows ."

Louis listened ; he liked Harry's voice . It was deep , raspy and soft . Quite comforting .

"These two like to wake me up a little too early for my liking , but I love those two menaces . They jump on my bed and Mojo pulls my blanket away , and Fuji just snuggles with me but he does it with so much force that it almost makes me fall out of bed ."

Louis' lips twitched up into a soft smile ; he thought it was quite cute and funny .

The two dogs raced over to them , Harry handed Louis the tennis ball , "Want to have a go ?"

Louis looked down to the tennis ball and took it , Mojo and Fuji were fixed on the ball in Louis' delicate hand . He sat up a little and threw it away , a soft smile stretching on his lips as the two large dogs chased the ball .

Harry turned a little in his seat to face Louis , his arm leaning on the back of the bench . "I want you to know how happy I am that you tagged along . It's not granted . I know it's unusual for you , that it's not something you do . But I like having you , I like being around you . You just - you radiate warmth and softness , and I like it ."

Louis' cheeks turned red , staring at his lap flustered .

"I don't know what happened and what you've been through , but I want you to know that I'm here for you . I want to be here for you , I want for you to trust me , no matter how long it will take ."

Louis' eyes stung with tears in the back of his eyes . He's known Harry for a little over a month , yet he could talk to him in such a way that made him tear up . He fisted one hand and brought it to his mouth , biting gently on his finger .

Harry softened , he scooted slightly closer , "Don't cry , I don't want you to cry . Didn't mean to ."

Louis took a deep breath and blinked rapidly , swallowing the lump in his throat . Harry bit his lower lip ; all he wanted to do at the moment was to gather Louis into his arms and hold him . But he knew better and just sat next to him and let him calm himself down in his own time .

Mojo ran up to them with the ball in his mouth , Harry took the ball and threw it away again , smiling as the dogs chased it . He turned back to Louis , "You alright now ?"

Louis nodded and let his hand drop to his lap , playing with his fingers . The walls he worked so hard on building up were ever so slowly breaking down , every time it was a tiny hole here and a tiny hole there . And the reason was Harry , and he really hoped he was good news .

Twenty minutes later the two dogs tired themselves out , Harry leashed them and turned to Louis , "Let's head home , yeah ?"

Louis nodded and they stood up from the bench , Harry handed Louis the leashes who took them with a tiny smile .

They walked in silence back home , Harry just enjoyed Louis' presence .

Once they reached their houses Louis handed Harry the leashes and signed 'thank you' , Harry smiled widely , "You're welcome anytime , we loved having you with us ."

Louis sent him a small smile before going up the pathway to his house , Harry watched him and sighed happily before taking the two dogs back home .

Louis walked into the house , Liam walked out of the kitchen with his arms crossed over his chest and a smile on his lips . "Well ?" He asked , and Louis couldn't help the grin breaking onto his face .

Liam grinned with him and brought him into a hug , squeezing him tightly . "I'm so proud of you ."
