It was nearing the end of summer break , and Harry wanted to have a little getaway with Louis before he had to go back to his last schoolyear .

It was Thursday afternoon , Harry walked up the pathway to Louis' house and knocked on the door . Liam opened it with a smile , "Hey mate , come in ."

Harry smiled , "Hey , Louis is home , right ?"

"Yeah , he's in his room ." Liam pointed up the stairs , Harry nodded and excused himself to go up . He walked upstairs and to Louis' room , knocking on his door . Seconds later the door opened , Louis stood there in his cute Pajamas , blushing when he saw Harry .

Harry smiled fondly , "Hi bubba ."

Louis opened the door wider and let Harry in , Harry walked in and closed the door behind him , pressing his lips to Louis' . Louis cupped his cheek softly , Harry pulled back , "I have a surprise ."

Louis raised his eyebrows , Harry took his hands and sat with him on the bed . 

"Alright , so in about two weeks you go back to school , which I know sucks but it's the last schoolyear so it'll be okay . The surprise is ; we're going for a little getaway at a lake cabin of my family's , leaving tomorrow morning ."

Louis' eyes widened in surprise , he smiled but Harry could tell he was nervous . "What makes you nervous , bub ?"

Louis looked away and grabbed his phone , opening his notes and typing quickly while Harry looked down at the note .

Harry smiled and put his arm around his waist , "You'll be okay love , I'm with you the entire time . Do you trust me ?" He asked , grinning when Louis nodded yes . He kissed his cheek lovingly , "Also we're taking the pups with us , it'll be fun ."

Louis just finished zipping his medium sized suitcase when there was a knock on his bedroom door , he turned to the door and smiled when he saw Harry .

"Good morning . You ready to go ?" Harry asked and kissed him , Louis nodded and watched Harry grabbing the suitcase . They walked down the stairs , Liam and Geoff were waiting by the door with smiles on their faces , making Louis blush .

Harry put the suitcase down and gave Liam and Geoff a smile , "Thank you for trusting me with Louis ."

"You proved yourself to us , and Louis . We trust you ." Geoff said , Liam nodded , "We know you'll take good care of Louis ."

Louis blushed even deeper , Harry smiled widely and turned to him to grab his hand . "Alright bub , say goodbye while I put your suitcase in my car , alright ?" Louis nodded , Harry squeezed his hand and walked out of the house with his suitcase .

Louis turned to his step brother and father , Geoff embraced him , "You took everything you need ?" He asked , Louis nodded against his shoulder . Geoff kissed the side of his head and pulled back , letting Liam wrap his arms around Louis and pick him off the ground .

Louis smiled and tightened his arms around his shoulders , Liam squeezed him , "I'm so proud of you Lou , so so proud . Have fun , text us whenever . And send us pictures ."

Louis nodded and let Liam put him down , Liam kissed his temple and pulled back from their hug just in time for Harry to walk back into the house .

"You ready to go , love ?" Harry asked , Louis nodded and took Harry's offered hand . The two waved one last goodbye at Geoff and Liam before walking out of the house .

Harry pulled Louis closer to wrap his arm around his waist , "The pups are already in the car , they're so excited to go ."

Louis smiled up at him and blushed softly when Harry opened the passenger's door for him , smiling when he saw Mojo and Fuji sitting at the back with some of their toys and a blanket .

Harry got into the driver's seat and handed Louis the AUX chord , "You're in charge of the songs , little DJ ."

Louis took the chord and plugged it into his phone , playing songs for them . Harry smiled and sang along to the songs , making Louis smile .

Two and a half hours later they reached the lake cabin , Harry parked the car and smiled at Louis , "We're here ."

They got out of the car , Harry put leashes on Mojo and Fuji and let Louis hold them while he grabbed their suitcases . They walked to the door , Harry took the key out of his pocket and opened the door for them .

Louis walked into the cabin and looked around in awe , it looked really nice and cozy . Harry closed the door behind him and unleashed Mojo and Fuji , letting them roam around . He hugged Louis from behind , "You like it ?" He asked and put his chin on his shoulder .

Louis smiled and nodded , shying away a bit when Harry kissed his neck . Harry smiled and pulled back , "Alright love , let's settle down then go out to eat something ."

Louis followed Harry (who insisted on taking both their suitcases) to the master bedroom , Harry put the suitcases down by the bed and looked over to Louis , who was looking around the room before going to the glass doors leading to the balcony , which had a beautiful view at the lake .

Harry opened his suitcase and took out shoes , a towel and his toiletries , Louis following his actions and placing his things neatly around the room and bathroom .

Fuji walked into their room and jumped on the bed , Harry tsked , "Nope nope , off the bed ." He took him off and turned to smile at Louis , "You put your stuff away ?"

Louis nodded and smiled when Fuji walked over to him , Harry kissed his cheek , "I'll go get the pups' stuff from the car and be right back , feel free to roam around the cabin ."

Louis shook his head and followed Harry out of the room to help him , Harry shook his head , "I got this bub , I promise ." He kissed his cheek , chuckling when Louis pouted a bit .

Once Harry had the dogs' food and toys in the house he filled the bowls of food and water , then turned to Louis , "Alright , let's go eat ."

"How about we give the hot-tub a try , eh ?" Harry asked , Louis blushed at the thought of Harry being shirtless , then blushed deeper at the thought of himself being shirtless around Harry . He found himself slowly nodded , Harry smiled , "Go put on your swim trunks , I'll take care of the tub ." He pecked his cheek .

Louis walked up the stairs and quickly changed into the swim trunks he brought . He walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror , lifting his shirt up a bit . He wasn't fat and he knew it , but he's never been shirtless around anyone , barely even in front of his family . He lowered his shirt and swallowed his nervousness down before walking back to the living room and out to the hot-tub .

Harry smiled at him , "I'll go change quickly while it heats up ."

Louis nodded and watched him disappearing into the master bedroom . He sighed to himself and closed his eyes , taking a few deep breaths before opening his eyes again . He dipped his finger into the tub and smiled when it was hot , jumping when he felt Harry's hands grabbing his waist from behind .

Harry chuckled , "Sorry love ." He kissed his cheek , Louis turned to him and felt himself blushing when he saw Harry was shirtless , his muscles and tattoos on full display . Harry climbed into the tub and smiled at Louis , "Come on in , it's really warm ."

Louis turned his back to Harry and slowly pulled the shirt off him , placing it down neatly . He turned around and blushed deeper when he saw Harry staring at him .

"You're beautiful ." Harry said softly and held his hand out for Louis , Louis took his hand and Harry could feel him trembling . He pulled him closer and kissed his knuckles , "You alright , bub ? You're shaking ."

Louis nodded and swallowed a bit , fixing the trunks around his hips a little . Harry smiled at him , "Well come on in and cuddle me , will you ?" He tugged at Louis' hand , Louis got into the tub and giggled when Harry pulled him to straddle his lap .

"Your skin is really soft ." Harry ran his hands up and down Louis' back , pressing a kiss to his bare shoulder . He kissed up to his neck and smiled at Louis' giggles , then turned Louis' face towards him and pressed their lips together .

Louis cupped one of Harry's cheeks , his other hand resting on Harry's large bicep . He felt himself melting into Harry's chest , he felt so relaxed and safe . He loved that feeling .

Harry pulled back a bit and smiled , "You having fun so far ?" Harry asked , laughing when Louis nodded eagerly .

"Good . I'm glad you're happy ." Harry pecked his lips , "I'm happy when you're happy . You smile , I smile , ohhhh ..." He sang a bit , laughing when Louis groaned and let his head fall against his shoulder .

"Don't lie , you love my singing ." Harry squeezed him into his chest , grinning when Louis nodded . "Give me another kiss ."

Louis lifted his head up and pressed his lips to Harry's , bringing both his arms to wrap around his neck . Harry hummed contently , rubbing one hand down Louis' side to his soft belly . He smiled when Louis giggled into the kiss before pulling back , "What happened ?"

His question was quickly answered when Louis grabbed his hand and took it off his belly , making him smirk playfully , "Is your belly ticklish ?" He brought his fingers back down to his belly , making Louis curl up and laugh as he pushed his hand away .

Harry laughed and stopped the tickling , kissing Louis' cheek gently . He loved when Louis smiled this wide , with crinkles by his eyes . He loved his cute laugh , it was such a soft and sweet sound that Harry wanted to listen to forever .

Louis wrapped both his arms around his belly to protect it , making Harry laugh , "Alright alright , no more tickles for today ." He wrapped his arms around him and kissed his lips , "Love when you laugh ."

Louis buried his blush covered face in Harry's neck , Harry squeezed him before nudging his nose against Louis' cheek , "Give me more kisses ."

Louis sat up and cupped Harry's cheek with one hand , letting Harry press their lips together . Harry brought him closer and deepened the kiss a little bit before pulling back , pressing their foreheads together .

"I love you ."

Louis' eyes ripped open widely , mouth gaping in shock . Harry slowly fluttered his eyes open and smiled at Louis softly , "I mean it . With everything in me ."

Louis shut his mouth and pressed his hand against it , feeling his throat tighten . Harry pressed tender kisses to his cheek , he could feel Louis' heart racing and it made him hold him tighter , "I love you ."

Louis couldn't help the tears filling his eyes , tears of happiness and content . Harry pulled back a bit , only to see Louis in tears . "Oh bubbie , what is it ?" He rubbed his back , Louis sniffled and brought Harry into a hug , letting his tears out .

Harry embraced him tightly into his chest and kissed his shoulder , "I really do love you , bub ."

Once Louis calmed down Harry pulled back a bit , he wiped his cheeks and kissed him . Louis wrapped his arms around his neck and leaned his body closer so their chests were pressed , his tummy against Harry's abs .

He pulled back and held his hand in front of his chest , his ring finger down and middle and fore fingers crossed . Harry's heart burst inside his chest ; Louis was signing 'I love you' .

Harry leaned in and kissed him again , securing his arms around Louis' waist . He felt Louis' hands on his cheeks , caressing his cheekbones with his thumbs .

They pulled back and smiled , Harry rubbed their noses softly and pecked Louis' lips , "Love you , bubbie ."

"Want to go to bed ? We have quite a day tomorrow ." Harry asked ; they've been sitting in the hot tub for about an hour and a half . Those hour and a half were filled with kissing , laughing , back rubs and more kissing .

Louis nodded and moved off Harry's lap to get out of the hot-tub . He grabbed one of the towels and wrapped it around himself , Harry took the other towel , "Come on , love ."

They walked into the cabin after drying themselves , smiling at Mojo and Fuji .

"Go wash yourself while I make the bed for us ." Harry nudged Louis towards the shower , Louis walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him . He quickly took off the swim trunks and washed himself in the shower , drying and putting on comfy pajamas .

He walked out of the bathroom , Harry smiled , "Get in bed , I'll be right there ." He kissed his cheek and walked into the bathroom . Louis got into the bed and sighed out softly , it was sooo comfy . He tucked himself under the covers and took his phone to text Liam , who replied quicker than he expected . He didn't tell him about Harry's and his 'I love you's , he wanted to tell him in person .

Harry walked out of the bathroom and smiled at Louis , getting in bed next to him . He turned on his side and looked at his phone , "Is Liam doing okay ?" He asked , Louis nodded and sent Liam a good night text before plugging his phone to the charger and turning to Harry with blush permanent on his cheeks ; It was the first time they were going to sleep together , first time sharing a bed .

Harry held his arms open , "Come snuggle ."

Louis shuffled closer shyly and let Harry wrap him up with his arms and the soft covers , he was warm and cozy and comfy - if it were up to him he would never leave that moment . Harry kissed his forehead , "Good night , bubbie ."

Louis fell asleep feeling warm , a smile on his lips and Harry's fingers tracing up and down his back .
