Louis opened the door to Harry with a nervous smile , Harry kissed his cheek , "Ready to go ?"

Louis nodded and grabbed his bag , waving goodbye to Geoff and Liam . Today he would be learning how to make the coffee and hot drink orders at the bakery , and he was really nervous .

Harry took his hand and they walked out of the house , going to Harry's car on the other side of the road . Harry opened the passenger's door for Louis and closed it behind him , getting into the driver's seat and starting the car .

Louis clasped his hands together and held them between his thighs , looking out of the window with his lower lip between his teeth .

Harry looked over to him and placed his hand on his thigh , "Lou ?"

Louis turned his head towards him , Harry caressed his knee , "Don't worry bubba , you'll be just fine . I'll be there the entire time , whatever you need I'm there , I'm not leaving you alone ."

Louis sighed and looked down at Harry's hand on his knee , the warmth of his large hand making him shiver slightly .

"Samantha is a very nice person , and she knows you and you know her , she'll go over things slowly with you ." Harry rubbed his knee comfortingly , "I already talked to her and told her to go easy on you , even though I have no doubt she'll be nothing but nice to you ."

Louis nodded ; he did know Samantha , and she really was nice , he just never got to properly talk to her . On the other side , he was worried about Andy showing him around . That guy wasn't nice , at all .

Soon they got to the bakery , Harry parked right in front of it and the two exited the car . Harry took Louis' hand as they walked in and greeted the employees with a smile and 'good morning' , he walked with Louis to behind the desk and wrapped his arm around his waist as they approached Samantha .

"Hi Sam ." Harry smiled , Sam smiled back , "Hi , good morning ."

"Good morning . This is Louis , my boyfriend , I know you already know each other but now it's a proper introduction ."

Sam smiled and held her hand out for Louis to shake , Louis shook her hand with a small smile and rosy cheeks from when Harry called him his boyfriend .

"Alright , Sam you already know what to do . I'm going to the back for a bit to help with the pastries and cookies , if you need anything I'll be there ." Harry said , she nodded , "Alright ."

Harry leaned down and kissed Louis' cheek lovingly , "You're fine , bubba ." He said and walked away , and Sam had to hold back a coo at the two .

"Alright , let's start ." Sam gave Louis a smile and led him to the large machine , Louis followed her . She took a clean mug , "So there isn't much to know here , actually , you just need to remember the ingredients ."

Louis listened carefully and nodded along , laughing when she made small jokes . She was truly nice and he felt himself slowly calming down from his nervousness .

She let him do things on his own aswell , how to work the machine and put in the right ingredients . Harry peeked at the front to see how it was going , smiling when he saw Louis following Sam's intructions with a small smile .

"You're a quick learner ." Sam said ; it's been an hour and Louis managed to successfully make a few drinks people ordered (with Sam's mentoring , of course) . Louis gave her a thankful smile jumped when he felt hands grabbing his waist from behind .

Harry chuckled from behind him , "Sorry , just came to check up on you ."

Louis held his thumb up and nodded , Harry smiled down at him , "Good . Want to stay a little more ? Or you're done for today ?"

Louis shook his head and gestured forward to the coffee machine , motioning he'd stay . Harry nodded and kissed his temple , "Alright , maybe we could have lunch together ?" He asked and smiled when Louis nodded .

It was almost lunch time and Louis was doing alright , Sam was still showing him around and he helped her cleaning around and making drinks .

The store's door opened , Louis turned his head towards it and his heart skipped a beat when he saw Andy walking in . He heard Sam groaning quietly to herself , and bit his lower lip not to chuckle .

Andy walked into the employees' room and dropped his stuff there , walking to the front without even a glance in their direction . Sam caught Louis' gaze and rolled her eyes , Louis held back a small laugh and took a mop to clean the tables , trying to stay as far away from Andy .

He wiped the tables , taking his time doing so . He then put the mop back behind the counter and took a broom to clean the floor .

Andy walked up to Sam , who looked surprised until he talked . "What the fuck is he doing here ?"

"He's working here from now on as a barista ." Sam told him , "Get used to it ."

"How am I supposed to flirt with Harry when he's here now ?" He groaned , mostly to himself .

"I honestly don't give a single fuck . But knowing you , you have the balls to flirt with Harry whether Louis is here or not ." She sassed and went to clean the coffee machine .

"Why are you taking his side , huh ? The boy doesn't even fucking talk ."

"He's a good person , unlike you . He's not full of himself , unlike you . He treats people with kindness , unlike fucking you . So don't ask me why I'm taking his side because I'll take his side one thousand more times ." She snapped before turning back to the coffee machine .

"You really -"

"I don't even want to hear it ." Sam cut him off .

Harry walked out of the office and greeted Andy with a smile and 'hello' , Sam rolled her eyes when Andy replied with 'hi Mr. Styles' and a flirtatious smile .

Harry walked over to Louis and put his arm around his waist , "You hungry , love ?"

Louis smiled at him and nodded , Harry moved his fringe and kissed his forehead , "Let's go eat , alright ?" He turned to the front desk , "Andy , could you please finish cleaning the floor ?" He took the broom from Louis' hand , Andy nodded , "Of course , anything you need ."

Louis wanted to roll his eyes , but Sam beat him to it and he didn't miss it , making his chest shake with a silent chuckle , Sam turned to him and smiled knowingly .

Andy took the broom from Harry's hand , Louis didn't miss the way he brushed their hands together and smiled at Harry . He hoped Harry noticed aswell .

Harry laced their fingers together and they walked out of the bakery to have their lunch .

"What do you want to eat ?" Harry asked , "I'm up to anything ."

Louis looked around as they walked down the street , before pointing to a diner on the other side of the road , typing in his notes .

Harry smiled and nodded , "Sure , let's go ."

They stood at the crosswalk and waited for the light to turn green , Louis couldn't stop thinking about that Andy guy . He'd known for a while he had a thing for Harry , he was too obvious , and it made him feel small and insecure . He knew Harry was an amazing person , attractive and kind and funny , and he knew people were ought to like him . 

They crossed the crosswalk and reached the diner , Harry opened the door and let Louis in first before following him inside . They took a booth at the middle of the place , Harry noticed Louis was a bit out of it .

A waitress greeted them and handed them menus before walking away , then Harry turned to Louis , "Lou ?"

Louis looked up from the menu , Harry reached across the table and held his hand , "Is everything alright ? You seem slightly out of it ."

Louis bit his lower lip before taking his phone out of his pocket , typing in the notes . His cheeks painted red as he turned his phone to Harry .

andy is flirting with you , very obviously

Harry chuckled and squeezed his hand , "I'm not oblivious , I know what he's doing . It's not working though because I only have eyes for you ."

Louis smiled and played with Harry's rings a bit , nodding in understatement . Harry kissed the back of his hand , "Pick something to eat now , bubba ."

After lunch the two returned to the bakery , Louis was disappointed to see Sam wasn't there anymore . He only had two more hours until Liam would pick him up , but it was two full hours around Andy .

He was behind the counter , Andy wasn't even glancing at him as he told him the orders . Louis ignored it , only giving shy smiles to the customers when they thanked him for their drinks .

He kept looking at the clock , wishing time would go by faster . He honestly couldn't stand that Andy guy .

He was relieved when Liam walked into the bakery and gave Louis a wide smile , Louis smiled back .

"Hi Lou , everything's going well ?" Liam asked , Louis nodded and shied away when Liam reached his hand to pinch his cheeks .

Harry walked out of the back , his hands covered in flour almost up to his elbows . "Hi Liam , you here to take Louis ?"

"Yeah , want some quality time with my little brother ." Liam nodded , Harry smiled , "Alright , have fun you two ." He then turned to Louis and opened his arms , "I can't hug you properly but it's better than nothing ."

Louis walked into his chest and wrapped his arms around him , Harry kissed the top of his head and whispered , "I want you to know that I'm so so proud of you , bubbie , you were amazing today ."

Louis blushed and pulled back , Harry leaned in and kissed him , "I'll text you later today , have fun with Liam ."

Louis smiled and stood up on his tip-toes to peck Harry's cheek , Harry smiled and watched Louis leaving with Liam .

Liam took Louis to the park , they sat by the small lake with a tub of ice cream . 

"How were things at the bakery today ?" Liam asked , Louis typed in the notes and turned his phone towards him .

it was fine , went really well . except for that andy guy flirting with harry

"Was he seriously flirting with Harry when you were there ?" Liam asked , Louis nodded and rolled his eyes .

"You should punch him next time , or kick him in his small dick ." Liam said , making Louis laugh and shake his head , before typing in his notes again .

you and zayn doing good ?

"Yeah , I'm taking him out again this weekend ." Liam nodded , "We want to go get drinks at the new pub downtown ."

Louis nodded and took another spoonfull of ice cream , giggling when Liam wrapped his arm around his neck and shoulders and brought him into a crushing hug , almost a headlock , "I'm really proud of you , you know that ?"

Louis smiled softly with pink cheeks , Liam rubbed his shoulder , "You made a huge progress , it's just amazing . You don't even understand how proud dad and I are . I'm hundred percent sure Jay would be so proud of you aswell ."

Louis leaned his head on Liam's shoulder , wrapping his arm around his back and squeezing softly . He never imagined he could have gotten there , but there he was . He was even proud of himself .
