"Are you sure you don't want to come with me ?" Liam asked as he put his coat on , Louis shook his head and pulled the soft blanket up to his chin . Liam nodded , "Alright , I'll be back soon ."

Louis nodded and watched him leaving , looking out of the window as he made his way down their pathway , across the road and up to the front door of the new neighbours' house .

Liam positioned the cake carefully in one hand , his other knocking on the door . There were loud barks from inside , and seconds later the door opened , a tall , broad guy stood there with a smile . "Hello ."

"Hi mate , I'm Liam , the neighbour right across the street ." Liam smiled and pointed his thumb backwards , "Just wanted to come say welcome to the neighbourhood ."

"Thank you . I'm Harry , I just moved here yesterday ." Harry flashed a dimpled smile and shook his hand , when two , large dogs ran up to the door wagging their tails .

Harry chuckled at the two and held their collars , "Sorry about them , they get excited when they meet new people . Come in ." He walked in with Liam following , closing the door .

"Your dogs are okay , they aren't a trouble at all . My brother and I love pets ." Liam smiled down at the two large dogs . Harry had a Saint Bernard , fluffy , sweet and playful , and an Anatolian Shepherd , playful and up for cuddles .

"This is Mojo ." Harry pet the Saint Bernard , "And this is Fuji ." He smiled down at the Shepherd .

"Cute names ." Liam smiled as he was led to the kitchen , Harry thanked him . Liam looked around a little . "Do you live here on your own ?"

"Yeah , moved here from Holmes Chapel , where my mum lives . I'm twenty three , and I guess it was time to move out ." Harry nodded , "Would you like anything to drink ? Tea , maybe ?"

"No thanks , I was about to head back home anyway , got to get started on dinner ." Liam said and placed the cake on the counter top , "Made you this Welcome cake , hope you'll like it ."

"I promise you , I never say no to cakes ." Harry grinned and looked down at the cake . "I actually moved here because I got a job offer , I'm going to manage my uncle's bakery when he retires in a few months . So I'm all about the bread and sweets ."

"Oh that's amazing , I'm wishing you the best , and I'm expecting you to treat us , aye ? My brother loves cupcakes ." Liam smiled , Harry nodded , "Of course ."

"Well , it was nice meeting you , hope to see you around , you're welcome to ours any time ." Liam said as Harry walked him to the door with the dogs following , Liam pet them a bit before walking out of the house , back to theirs .

He walked into the house and shrugged his coat off , toeing his shoes off . He went to the living room , smiling softly at Louis , "I'm back . You doing okay ?"

Louis looked away from the TV at him and nodded .

"Our new neighbour is a nice guy , his name is Harry ." He said and went to sit on the couch at Louis' feet . "He's going to take over his uncle's bakery in a few months , promised us cupcakes ."

Louis looked up at him and smiled softly , he did love cupcakes quite a lot .

"Well , I'm going to start working on dinner , dad should be here in thirty minutes or so ." Liam patted Louis' knee and stood up from his seat , "Would you mind setting the table for us ?"

Louis nodded , Liam thanked him and walked into the kitchen .

Later on Geoff arrived home from work , "Are there new neighbours ?" He asked as he took his coat off , Liam greeted him with a pat on the shoulder , "Yeah , a young guy moved in , job offer ."

"Oh , that's nice . What job ? What's his name ?"

"Harry , he's going to manage his uncle's bakery ."

"Bread is always a good reason to do things ."

Louis listened to his step brother and father going on , sighing to himself . He sure does enjoy sweets , but there's no way he's going to ask for any . He will not talk to the guy , he's not going to do this to himself all over again .

The day after Louis got ready for school , he waited outside for his step brother next to his car . Liam walked out of the house and unlocked the car , Louis opened the passenger's door and sat in , waiting for Liam to join him .

Liam opened the door before turning around , smiling and waving at Harry , who just arrived back home from a walk with his dogs .

"Hi , good morning !" Harry waved , Liam waved back , "Good morning , have a nice day !"

"Thank you , you too !" Harry smiled before walking up his pathway and into his house .

Louis glanced up at the rearview mirror to try and see him , he saw just a bit of him and the large dogs , before sighing to himself and lowering his gaze .

Liam got into the car and shut the door , starting the engine . "Aren't you going to get friendly with our new neighbour ?"

Louis shook his head and sighed softly , Liam bit his lower lip a little and nodded , "Okay . I know it's hard for you , but I just know everything will be okay ."

Harry walked into his house after having a morning walk with Mojo and Fuji , he unclipsed the leashes and let the dogs roam around the house .

He walked into the pantry and made two bowls of dog food before taking them to the corner of the kitchen , placing the two bowls on the floor . The two dogs , who heard the bowls being placed down , raced into the kitchen and started eating right away , making Harry chuckle softly before getting started on his own breakfast .

He pulled out products and placed everything on the counter , when his phone went off . He picked it up and saw his mum's name on the screen along with a picture of both of them hugging and smiling , making him smile aswell as he answered the call .

"Hey mum ." Harry said into the phone , pressing it to his ear with his shoulder so he could have his hands free .

"Hey darling , how are you ? You doing okay at your new place ?"

"Yeah , it's really good ." Harry said as he started making his breakfast . "Nice neighbours , good weather considering it's March . The pups love it here aswell ."

"That's wonderful , sweets . Have you met up with Oscar ?"

"I'm meeting up with him today , to talk everything through and get things going ." Harry peeked at the dogs to see them munching away at their food , smiling to himself .

"Very well . Anything interesting that happened ? Met anyone interesting ?"

"Not so far , not really . I mean , I have a neighbour who's brother loves cupcakes , or so I was told . Promised them cupcakes and sweets , they're really nice ."

"Oh , sounds nice . Well I hope everything goes well for you , we'll come to visit the first chance we get ."

"Alright , don't feel rushed though , I'm perfectly okay ."

"Alright darling . I'll talk to you tomorrow , yeah ? Love you ."

"Love you too mum ."

They hung up , Harry placed his phone down and turned to his dogs , "You doing good there , pups ?"

Fuji lifted his head up and barked happily , his tail wagging . Harry smiled and went back to making breakfast , humming a song under his breath .
