To The Younger Me
You don't have to worry, you don't have to be the best at everything, and you don't have to knock others down to prove you're on top. People will love you even if you're not the greatest. It might actually be easier for them to if you don't try so hard.
And your parents aren't going to leave you. They love you, and the punishments were designed to sculpt you into the man you are today. They'll always be there and they're always willing to help. You don't have to solve everything on your own, or get frustrated when you can't. You're just a kid, not the savior of the world.
You're not the bad guy either and you never have been. No matter how much it feels like it, or how much a part of you wishes you could claim to be, you're not actually the villain. Sure, stuff blew up in your face a lot, but that's not always your fault. Which leads to another thing. . . Not everything that happens around you is your fault. It's not always on you.
But at the same time, some stuff IS your fault and you need to own up to that. You made mistakes. That's okay, just learn from them and move on. Don't make the same one twice.
Please be more careful of what you say. I know you don't mean to hurt people, but not everything needs to be said or, at least, said in that way. You're better than that. You've got a lot ahead of you, some of it amazing and some of it genuinely heartbreaking. But you're gonna turn out okay.
