More time had passed since Cotillion and Uma. All of Auradon was still nervous about the daughter of the Sea Witch, but they did their best to move ahead. Evie and Ben managed to work out a program called "VK Day" where the Core 4 would go to the Isle and choose 4 more kids to bring over. They also worked on improving Isle life in the meantime. Not only that, but Ben had something special planned for Mal, and enlisted the help of his friends to make it happen.

Today was the day the four new kids would arrive, and when Ben's plan would be put into motion. Lucas and Evie, along with Belle, Adam, and Fairy Godmother, gathered the crowd for the big day. When they saw Ben and Mal, the band started playing. As Ben started talking, the band quieted. Ben went on to thank everyone for being here to welcome the new kids, before Doug started playing a song on his guitar. It was time for Ben's plan. He started singing the song he sang to Mal at the Tourney game before he got on his knee and asked her to marry him. Of course Mal said yes, and the crowd erupted into cheers.

"Almost makes our movie nights seem tame." Lucas jokes to Evie, both of whom were happy for their friends.

"I love y-" Evie starts, but stops herself. "Movies. They're fun."

"Yeah?" Lucas asks.

"Yeah." Evie responds.

Ben and Mal soon joined the group, which split into guys and girls to celebrate and congratulate the two. After a few moments of that, the limo, now painted purple, arrived for Ben and the Core 4 to pick up the new kids.

"Oh, just wait until you meet Dizzy." Evie says, "She's like a little sister to me. You'll love her."

"I'm looking forward to it." Lucas replies, "Should I expect you to bring her to your place?"

"Yup. They'll stay with me for a bit until the new school year starts."

"I'll see you when you get back, then."

"See you then." Evie then gives Lucas a quick kiss on the cheek before climbing into the limo with the others.

"So, when are you gonna tell her?" Doug asks as the limo drives off.

"Tell her what?" Lucas asks.

"Come on, Lucas. You know what I'm talking about."

"I actually don't."

"When are you gonna tell Evie how much she means to you?"

"Hey, it's not that easy. And what am I supposed to do? Just casually be all 'hey, Evie, you're an amazing girlfriend. Also, I love you.' I can't just do what Ben did, either. If and when I tell her, it needs to be special, you know?"

"Okay, but you should tell her at some point. I could be wrong, but I doubt she'll wait forever."

"Thanks, Doug." Lucas says semi-sarcastically.

"Anytime, man." Doug replies.

The boys then stopped their conversation and watched on the large screen as the limo crossed over to the Isle, and back out moments later. However, there were blue flashes from inside the berrier, and purple smoke as Mal transformed into a dragon. Someone was trying to break out, and it looked like... Hades? That wasn't good. Luckily, Mal was able to send the god back inside the barrier.
