WHEN YOU THINK OF Gryffindor and Slytherin, you think of the rivalry so heavy that it has lasted centuries; in the classroom, on the Quidditch Pitch, even after leaving Hogwarts.

They were two houses where friendships between students had never lasted, so Ezra Sutton figured that when she went to Fred Weasley for help with a prank, they'd go their separate ways straight afterwards.

But, despite the few warnings from members of their houses and some of the people closest to them, Fred Weasley and Ezra Sutton became good friends.

They had a careless and flirty friendship. But after a heated moment at a party, feelings get in the way. They begin to realise that they want something more despite the obstacles trying to separate them at every given turn.

i do not own any part of the harry potter universe. all rights in that aspect go to j.k. rowling. however, i do own ezra sutton and any plots that surround her within the harry potter universe, as well as any characters that i place into her storyline.

i would like to add that while i continue to write harry potter fics, i in no way continue to support j.k. rowling and all of the awful things she has done. every book and movie which i use to write my books were brought at least six years ago, probably longer. harry potter has been a source of comfort for me since i was six or seven and i want to continue to write these characters that i love so dearly into my version of events, diversifying the universe and the plot and making my account a safe space for everyone.

i took this down quite a while ago because i was not happy with it and it was in my drafts for so long so i could write for it without feeling any pressure from people demanding for me to update it constantly, but it's now back and hopefully here to stay with only a few minor changes to the three chapters that i had previously shared with you all. i've also decided that sutton's story will be told across three books and though i'm only about four chapters off fully completing this first story and haven't yet completed the second and third books as of this moment, i've already planned out each of those stories and i'm really excited for you all to be introduced or reintroduced to Sutton's wonderful character.

if you happen to be reading my sirius black book 'until it hurts' and my marlene mckinnon book 'tattoo parlour' which are both set in the marauder's era, please know that sutton's first book will contain a few spoilers for them as they are all connected together. There won't be any major spoilers for either book until the second half of act two and then books two and three but hopefully, i will have those books completed before then!
