WEEKLY PROMPT 30: LGBTQ+
Potential Title: Dove
Prompt:
She was a chirpy, gentle and sweet girl. But she was a sarcastic and sassy girl to those she didn't like.
She was your good girl in every sense, but she had a secret: she was depressed. Too deep down the dark hole. So, she starts to visit to her college's psychologist. But it's not like that's much help. Because what she needed was someone who would understand her.
She needed someone to love and care. The one who would return all she gives back to her with equal force. She needed someone worth to live for. She needed a reason, a special someone.
But who thought, the special someone would be the one girl she hates most, her one and only competitor?
This gorgeous prompt is by ShreyaBansal4 - thank you for it! Remember to comment below if you'd like to use it! She's also included a poem below about Dove, for those who were interested:
She was gentle. She was gullible.
People would push her and pull her.
Never letting her live like she would prefer.
But she would just say them bye
And fight every single one with her chin held high,
She walked with confidence that would unnerve even her.
She carried such an attitude that could make anyone defer.
But that's limited to outsiders, relatives, friends.
If it's her mother, father or sister, she bends.
Succumbs to their wishes until the water is above her head
Since she is bound to lose her wars against them.
Sometimes she fights despite knowing that's a lost cause.
Because they know what other's don't.
Because they know...
She is gentle. She is gullible.
Because they know she is a Dove.
They didn't saw her wet pillow, stained with her sobs every night.
Her sister never saw her silent tears under the moonlight
Her parents next door, never heard her low cries.
If her friends asked about her sad moods,
She would wave them off,
Say, she is just like that,
Weird with her mood swings
No one saw her hunching shoulders, her tired eyes,
The wrong pitches in her laughter, the force in her smiles
No one saw, behind her perfect happy mask,
Laid the depression signs to ask.
No one saw the insanity brewing in her eyes.
No one saw the darkness in her mind.
The monster that clawed and clenched her heart,
At very young age had become her part.
It made sure she felt every act of abandonment
It made sure she hurt at every act that was not to meant.
At every moment of her ownIt would torture her soul
Bringing her hell of painFor his own gain.
It hurt, because she was a Dove.
