(Your P.O.V)
You stare blankly at the sun setting in the distance. Your night fury Stardust nudged you signaling it was time. A smile formed on your face. You knew you need to rest because you had a full day of flying tomorrow. But you didn't move, you simply weren't tired.
Sighing you pushed your (H/C) hair out of your face before following your dragon to the small little shelter you made. It was made out of sticks and leafs. Although it wasn't much it protected you from the rain.
You had stopped on this small island four days ago. Just long enough to explore it. Sadly you didn't find any new dragons or any dragons in fact. The last several places you had visited were also dragonless.
Stardust curled up under the shelter you took a seat next to her opening your old worn bag pulling out a neatly folded paper. Slowly you unfolded it looking at it with a slight smile it was a giant map filled with seven years of exploring unknown islands and marking them.
Using the last light of day you quickly added the island in which you sat, on the map. Once you were done you wrote a small note next to the island 'Dragonless'. After folding the paper you slid it back in your bag before leaning against Stardust closing your eyes begging sleep would be kind enough to take you.
But it didn't and you remained awake staring blankly at the lights in the sky. You knew you were getting farther north than you liked. North was were losts of Outcast islands were located. You only knew this because of the rumors you heard once.
Being a traveler you often ran into tribs and sailors. You only ever speak to them long enough to learn things a listen to stories. Onces your do you leave not wanting to get attached to anyone. You had learned not to make friends because when you do you started to care and care turned to love. And thats something you wanted to avoid.
Because you knew when you gave some your love it made it easier for them to hurt you. Whether it was physically or mentality. You watched a shooting star flew past your eyes you closed your eyes to make a wish but founded you had none.
You knew that even if you did wish it would be usless so you sighed. Maybe you'd save that wish for later. You laughed at that wishing on a star didn't make it come true it was the same as wishing on a blade of grass. But still a part of yourself told you to save it anyway.
Who knew maybe you'd need it. Maybe when you did make a wish it would come true. You layed there breathing in the smell of the salty air. For some reason you liked the smell maybe it was because you'd been around oceans all your life.
The air was slightly cold you pulled yourself closer to Stardust who wrapped her wings around you. You smile softly you only allowed yourself to love and be friends with one thing...your dragon.
You don't know how long you lay there or when exactly you fell asleep all you know is you were shook awake to the sun rising by Stardust.
"Im up im up gosh!" You groaned.
Your dragon gave you the look the one in which she used to show you were getting on her nerves. You stood up dusting off your clothes that made up of, a teal colored long sleeved dress, brown fur vest, brown tights and fur boats.
You quickly grabbed you bag putting on you back before climbing on Stardust you didn't have a saddle or harness to hold on all you had was a rope that you had tied onto your dragon. After a moment of just sitting there you look off into the distance.
What was out there? You wondered. Something inside you said that wasn't the question you really wanted to know. The on you truly wanted answers to was the one you never had the courage to ask out loud or even to yourself. What were you searching for out there?
"You ready Dust?" As you spoke it you realized the real question was Were you ready?
'Of course I am' You answered yourself.
But you knew you weren't every time you found a new places you founded yourself comparing it to the one place you spend so much time trying to forget....home. The sun was rising higher you let the warm rays hit you faces before allowing Stardust to shoot upward.
No matter how many times you went flying it never got old. Adrenaline filled you making your (E/C) eyes spark with excitement and joy. The wind whipped through you hair you let out a cheer. Once you guys were high enough Stardust flew evenly.
You threw your hands up letting your fingers pass threw the clouds. After a few moments you lowered them your eyes catching something below you. A ship well ships atleast seven of them sailed below you.
You frowned you could see some of the men pointing some yelling at each other. At first you thought they were just trying to get the peoples attention to admire your dragon. But you were proven wrong you watched as they lunched what looked like a net at you and Stardust.
You realized then they were trying to trap you before you could reacted. The net wrapped around you and your dragon. You cried and Stardust roared as you found yourself falling.Just as your body hit water you let out a cry for help.
The net around you unabled you to swim upward. Your only thought was you need to get Stardust out. Before you could do so the net was pulled out of the water and you found yourself face planting into a wood deck.
Your hair stuck to your face and you choked up some water that you had in hailed. The men on the boat grapped you pulling you to your feet. Pain filled you, and your head pounded you could feel fresh sticky blood from your forhead drip down your face.
"Let me go!" You demanded, "STARDUST!"
You watched as a man held down your dragon head and mouth. The man was big and had Black locks his voice was deep and made your blood run cold, "I am Drago controler of all dragons!"
You let out a dry laugh, "You can't control her now let her go and I'll spare your lifes!"
Drago laughed at you and your eyes widen as he stepped towards you. He grabbed your arm squeezing it tightly you could feel the bruise forming, "Now that I have all the dragons I need I can get my revenge very soon on that dragon trainer."
"Dragon Trainer?" You repeated.
"He defeated me once but not this time I will have the dragons and Berk," He hissed, "Rid of her."
The men who held you dragged you to the edge of the boat. You let out a cry you weren't the best swimmer expressly in ice cold water. The men shoved you over you took a breath trying to hold back a sob.
The cold water enloped you and you found yourself hitting you head on the side of the boated. Pain rushed down your spine and water filled you lungs. You knew this was it that you were dead but of course...you were wrong.
