Chapter 1- To Go Missing
(Hello! Author here 👋 before you head into this I would like to say this is a well thought out story. You aren't just randomly placed in the same class as Deku, getting a re telling of the anime or kidnapped out if the blue. Deku has a reason to fall in love with you and most importantly is influenced by Toga. Speaking of...
Let's talk about Toga for a second. She isn't dangerously in love with Deku. They met under different circumstances compared to the cannon so her love for him isn't the same. You will find out more on this as you read 🙂 I also understand that I haven't really followed the timeline of when the league of villains were formed but for story purposes, don't mind that.
In this story Bakugo tells Deku to kill himself at school. As he is walking home, he does not encounter the sludge villain or all might and is instead consumed by his own thoughts, he finds himself at the top of a building... we continue vv)
"So, are you going to jump?" A menacing voice came from behind him.
What was a girl doing all the way up here? It didn't matter... Izuku's tears dropped down his face as he looked at the far away ground beneath him. He didn't really want to kill himself but what other option was out there for him?
"Come on, what's the hold up?" She got close to him out of no where, it freaked him out enough for him to back away, nearly losing his balance off the edge.
Crap, he needed to stop crying. "Who are you anyway, what are you doing up here?" He was wiping his tears off.
"I mistook you for the boy I like. You and Saito-kun, so alike..." She stared at him with a smile but her eyes were sad. "I couldn't help but follow you..."
"I should get going now-" Izuku tried to leave.
"I can take you somewhere better." This made him stop. "You see, I wasn't very gentle with Saito-Kun. But we all learn from out mistakes. Besides, you look a lot weaker than him." Oh god, she was a psycho. He needed to get out of there but his feet wouldn't move. "Yeah, your face is more scared. His eyes had nothing but hatred." A terrifying smile appeared on her face. "That's okay. We can work on that. Mm, making you more like Saito-Kun sounds like a good idea to me."
"N-no." He denied her.
"What do you have to lose? Come on, come make friends at the league of villains. I'm sure we'll find a use for you."
'She's from the league of villains and trying to recruit me!?' It was shocking to him, it was even more shocking that he considered it. All this time he idolised heroes, All Might. To switch so easily. "I can't." He was at a loss for words.
"At least check the place out. I had to as well before I decided." She grabbed his bag. "C'mon I-zu-ku." The blonde spoke his name in syllables.
"Wait, how did you know that?" Without realising he found himself following her down the stairs.
"Your name is written on your note books." Saying his name made her feel happy.
"T-then what about you?"
"You mean my name?" She glanced at him. "Himiko Toga."
"Well, T-Toga, can I have my bag bag, p-please?" He struggled to talk to her.
"Nope, I don't want to."
Great... he was stuck following her.

Izuku Midoriya. That was the name added to the missing persons list. He just barely made it onto segments of the news which he wasn't allowed to keep track of over the past 2 years anyway. Everyone within the league of villains knew he couldn't handle seeing her mothers crying face. But he had changed in that time period. He was numb to a lot now, even Toga's crazy talk. Though you might be wondering what his role is. Well, he was able to give them more analysis on heroes that they ever could have come up with together, including on UA students. He could spend more time on a screen gathering details on everyone than any of the others in the group. Although their plans still failed, they found him very useful.
That didn't matter. Right now he was going for a walk around 5 pm. That's when kids got out of club activities and headed home for the night. It was frustrating whenever he bumped into someone, especially since they didn't care, not even a simple 'sorry'.
The usual isn't all the time though. His shoulder touched yours, your fateful meeting. "Sorry." You waved with an apologetic smile at the boy in a black hoodie before going back to your friend. "Anyway, so Shoto, Endeavours son right? I thought of a move to improve his fighting abilities-"
"This again?" Your friend sighed.
"Come on, it's interesting stuff!" Your conversation faded into the distance as Izuku could no longer hear the two of you.
He felt a spark. The one Toga mentioned. It was too soon to call it love... but he felt something for this (h/c) girl.
That night he was back to work again but not for Shigaraki or the others, it was for himself. He needed to find everything about this girl on social media. First it was looking through the schools photos, figuring out her name and the club she's in and it spiralled from there as he found your instagram from the mutual public friends profiles you had, even if your own was on private. It didn't take him long to set up a fake profile and for you to accept his follow request.
It was the next evening that he headed to a specific convenience store, the one you worked part time at.
You watched on the security monitor as a hooded figure walked into the store. This late at night you expected it to be a shop lifter or even someone who was gonna rob the place. Over to the refrigerator section he went grabbing only one discounted onigiri that was due to expire soon. Oddly you didn't see him nick anything else like you expected. "Will that be all?" You asked as he placed it on the counter and nodded, looking down to hide his face. "No way, I remember you!"
He looked up immediately "You do?" He felt excited that you remembered such a brief interaction.
"Izuku Midoriya, right?"
"Huh?" He was confused, you remembered him from somewhere else.
"The guy who went missing 2 years ago." You went under the counter, rummaging through your bag to pull out a beaten up note book. "I tried to figure out why you randomly disappeared. It's kind of cringe but when I was younger I felt determined to find where you went." You laughed nervously. "But look, I even went through the possibilities of what happened to you. It didn't feel like a murder." You went on, he was still trying to process it all. "Funny how you make an appearance on the day the news first reported you missing. That's why I had my old journal with me, I wanted to go through them all since there's some new info online. Speaking of, what did happen to you?" You switched to a more concerned look before thinking of something else. "Should I be calling the police right now?"
"No!" He suddenly shouted. "I mean, no, its fine." He adjusted his voice. "I can't really explain it." He scratched the back of his head.
"Well, are you at least safe? That's the important thing."
"Yeah." He told you to put it simply. "I'm taken care of where I am now." He found it hard to believe he was actually smiling, a small one but it had been a while so anything counted. He felt like his old self again around you.
You wanted to ask more questions, it was hard not to but it didn't feel like your place to keep prying. "Here, you can have this for free, what's ¥10 anyway?" You acted casually with him.
"Yeah." He agreed with another shy nod. "Thank you." He said, leaving so happy. It was a surprise he was actually able to talk to you.
It overjoyed him.
