Chapter 2

The next day, Natsuki arrived at school without walking with Sayori. She knew the person who was taking over her head was Sayori, so she decided to start avoiding her.

Natsuki's poem? About a person who won't leave her head.

Natsuki quickly dropped her things off at her first class.

"If you see Sayori, don't react."

Natsuki walked out into the hall and looked around, more specifically looking for either Yuri or Monika.

She wanted to talk to one of them about getting Sayori out of her head, and even now Sayori found a way back into her head without even trying.

"Yuri! Hey Yuri hold up!" Natsuki nearly jumped at the sight of Yuri walking to who-knows-where. "Oh, Natsuki.. What do you want?" Yuri stopped for Natsuki to catch up to her.

"So I have this person stuck in my head. Every second of the day she's there and... Well I don't know how to shake her from my thoughts." Natsuki said, but she didn't make eye contact. She wasn't looking vulnerable, especially with angst-lord Yuri around. "Maybe stay away from her, or do something to take your mind off her. Really in short, distract yourself." Yuri responded, eventually walking to her class.

Looking at the clock, Natsuki started speed walking back to her own class.

"Stupid Sayori. Having her on my mind is gonna make me late one of these days!"

Luckily Natsuki got to class in time.

Once the bell rang, Natsuki rushed to her second class. Monika was in this class with her, and luckily they sat by each other. Natsuki also knew Sayori had her second class with Yuri, which was practically on the other side of the school.

"Monika, I gotta sorta... Well I have a question." Natsuki threw her bag down and quickly sat down. "Well then, seems important. Ask away." Monika chuckled, giving Natsuki a smile.

"Doesn't help that Monika has a tendency to tell others' crushes they like them..."

"So I have a... Person let's say... They're always on my mind. I can't get them out of my head, and every second they're on my mind. Do you have any way to get this said person OUT of my head?" Natsuki took a deep inhale after explaining to Monika.

Yes Monika had a sneaky character, and often betrayed others without them knowing, but her and Natsuki were fairly close friends.

"Somebody has a little crush huh?" Monika rested her elbows on the desk and rested her chin on her hands.

Natsuki didn't like this pose.

"Dumb Monika and her attempts at sexy posing.."

"NO I DO NOT!" Natsuki shouted, not bothering to acknowledge the many people in the room. "I mean... No I don't like this person that way. I just can't get them out of my head! She's in most of my afternoon classes, and even then I see her at tje end of the day!" Quickly after her claim, Natsuki covered her mouth.

"Yuri already knew I was bi, but I Monika doesn't! She's gonna know it's Sayori too because of my description! Ugh stupid Natsuki, somebody needs to beat ya with a bat over the head to set you straight. Well set my head straight at least."

"Ohhh..." Monika had a grin on her face, which Natsuki knew all too well. Monika didn't only know she liked a girl, but she also knew who said girl was.

"Don't worry I wont tell her. She probably already likes somebody else anyways. Plus wouldn't that ruin your guy's friendship?" Monika said, but quiet enough for the teacher not to hear as class had already started.

"It would but.. It's more of taking it to the next level rather then ruining it.. But I know she doesn't swing that way, like I KNOW she doesn't." Natsuki whispered as quietly as she could. "What makes you say that?" Monika asked. "Because... Well onw day I had been a little flirty with her back in seventh grade over texts and she kinda pointed out that she isn't like that." Natsuki explained, trying her best not to look disappointed.

"Well these feelings will haunt you forever if you don't--." Monika had been cut off by the teacher.

"Girls I sure hope you're listening, wouldn't miss this for the world if I were you." The teacher's tone was sharp and ready to attack, so both girls don't dare to question her athoroty.

Natsuki didn't bother waiting for Sayori at lunch, and raced to sit with Monika and Yuri.

The two were basically besties, and always spent time together.

"So I don't know what to do and my afternoon is basically just Sayori, any ideas?" Natsuki plopped down with her lunch. She never packed much, but it always filled her up enough. "I say you kinda ignore her if she talks to you, or try paying attention in class." Yuri suggested.

"Just because I sit by Sayori in the class I share doesn't mean I don't pay attention!"

"Hmph! I DO pay attention in class thank you very much Yuri." Natsuki retorted, crossing her arms. "I'm just saying what I see." Yuri chuckled.

It was rare to see Yuri genuinely smile, but laughing was a whole new level of rarity.

Natsuki gave up on information from Yuri and Monika. She'd have club time to think more about it.

After her afternoon classes went past life a flash, Natsuki headed to the literature club.

Written on the room's white board was a note that Monika would be slightly late and for everyone to have their poems out and seated.

"If she has the time to write us am excuse for why she isn't here, certainly she has the time to actually tell all of is before we get to the club right?"

Not long after, Monika dashed into the room and threw her bag down.

"Alrighty! Now today we won't have a very long meeting besides sharing poems and festival planning. Sayori and Natsuki are partners with advertising, and I'll help Yuri with decorations." Monika was gasping for breath by the end of her announcements. She gave Natsuki a fast wink though, which Natsuki responded using one of her many glares.

She had to work with the girl she liked. Great.

"Why would I tell Monika of all people, I know she did this on purpose too!"

Natsuki looked up to Sayori, who had been standing at the front of Natsuki's desk.

"Oh, u.. Uh... Hi..?" Natsuki mentally snapped her neck off of her body.

"STUPID! QUIT SOUNDING LIKE YURI! I'M NOTHING LIKE THAT EDGY B*TCH!"

"I was wondering what day you were free after school this week, for festival and all.." Sayori got onto her knees to get on Natsuki's level. "Well for starters, I am NOT that short." Natsuki imediately rose from her chair and looked down onto Sayori. "Second of all, tomorrow works out just fine."

"Look at the time! Meeting's over already! Darn, well save the poems for tomorrow." Monika looked at the clock and rushed to get her things.

Guess tomorrow will decide how Sayori feels about Natsuki.
