15 minutes later... 12:45 am

Kamala yawns and she looks and she sees that Kamryn has unlatched.

Doug- "I will burp her if you want to go back to bed"

Kamala- "thanks Honey, here's the burp cloth" Kamala snaps her tank top and she gives Doug the burp cloth and Kamryn, and she gets up to put her bowl and cup of milk in the sink.

Doug puts the burp cloth on his shoulder and and he puts Kamryn on his shoulder.  Kamala comes back a few minutes later and she sees Doug is rubbing Kamryn's back trying to get her to burp and she does but she also spits up a little bit and all over Doug's shirt and the burp cloth.

Kamala- "Dougie, let me hold her while you go and change your shirt, this is what happens when I'm overfull, she spits up more then usual when we burp her, you have heard me say slow down, when she gulps down her milk she swallows more air, and then she spits up more"

Doug- "I wanna go and change my shirt i think her fever broke she's not as warm as she was before"

Kamala- "of course, Kamryn I think your fever broke your not as warm as you were earlier let's get your diaper changed and hopefully we all can go back to bed it's 1 am it's still night time."

Kamala lays Kamryn on the portable changing pad and she unsnaps her onesie, and undoes the tabs on her diaper and changes her diaper and cleans her and puts on a clean diaper and she snaps up Kamryn's onesie, and she puts on her pj's.  She puts the dirty diaper in the diaper genie, she washes her hands with the baby wipes.  "Mommy's going to put you in your bassinet and then hopefully Mommy and Daddy, and Kamryn can get some sleep."

Doug comes back a few minutes later and Kamryn is laying on Kamala's shoulder with her thumb in her mouth.

Kamala- "she's all changed I tried to put her in her bassinet and she looked she was gonna cry, and I picked her up and now she's sorta sleeping on my shoulder can you hold me I don't wanna wake her"

Doug- "of course I will hold you I know your tired.  I think we will stay here on the couch unless you want to go back to bed and I will hold you there"

Kamala- "let's stay here, I'm exhausted, let's try and get some sleep for a few hours."

Doug- "okay, I'm going to lay here and hold you and hopefully we can get some sleep for a few hours."

~3 hours later~ 4:30 am

Kamryn woke up and she's crying, "Kamryn, Momala's here, I know that cry your hungry, let me get my pillow, and you will have your milk"

Kamala gets up, she sees Doug is sound asleep on the couch, he looks so adorable she doesn't have the heart to wake him up. "Kamryn, there's no milk on Mommy's shoulder, let me unsnap my tank top and put my pillow on my tummy then you can have all of the milk you want."

Kamala unsnaps her tank top and lays Kamryn on her pillow and she latches on and starts nursing. "Honey, how long have you been up"

Doug- "a few minutes I just woke up when I heard Kamryn crying"

Kamala- "at least we got a few hours sleep"

Doug- "yes we did, do you want to try and go to bed after Kamryn's done with her milk"

Kamala- "hopefully she will go in her bassinet and we can cuddle on the couch"

Doug- "okay, you're adorable, I know your exhausted but I wanted to tell you I love you so much, if Kamryn won't sleep in her bassinet, you lay down on the couch and I will stay up with her"

Kamala looks and Kamryn is still nursing. "Thanks Honey, Love you so much even when I'm grumpy and snap at you I don't mean it, you're my soul mate, and best friend."

Doug gives Kamala a kiss on her forehead

15 minutes later... 4:45 am

Kamala yawns and she looks and Kamryn has unlatched "Dougie, can I have the burp cloth please"

Doug- "Honey, let me burp her, your falling asleep"

Kamala yawns "thanks" she snaps up her tank top, she gives Doug the burp cloth and she lays down on the couch.

Doug has the burp cloth on his shoulder and he puts Kamryn on his shoulder and he's rubbing her back and a few minutes later she burps and she spits up a little on the burp cloth, "that was a good burp, let's get your diaper changed, and then hopefully you will go back to sleep in your bassinet and Daddy can go back to bed, I see Mommy is already asleep on the couch"

Doug lays Kamryn on the portable changing pad, and he unsnaps her onesie, and changes her diaper, he cleans her with the baby wipes and puts on a clean diaper, and puts the dirty one in the diaper genie, and snaps her onesie and he washes his hands with the baby wipes, he puts on her pj's and snaps them, "all done, we have a clean diaper, and our pj's are on and our tummy is full"

Kamryn yawns

Doug- "I think Kamryn's tired"  Doug picks Kamryn up from the portable changing pad, and he puts her in her bassinet and she puts her thumb in her mouth as soon as he lays her down. Doug then goes and lays on the couch next to Kamala. Kamala feels Doug lay on the couch and she cuddles up next to him.

~7:10 am~

Doug just woke up a few minutes ago, and he sees Kamala is sound asleep and he gets up and checks on Kamryn, she's sound asleep, he goes and sits in his recliner and he changes the channel on the tv to the local news.

~7:30 am~

Maya comes over and Doug sees her at the door and he opens the door wall for her, she's carrying a tray with breakfast on it.

Maya whispers "Hey Doug"

Doug- "hey Maya thank you for bringing breakfast it's been a long night"

Maya- "how's Kamryn"

Doug- "she had a rough night"

Maya- "I'm sorry how's she doing now and I see sis is sound asleep 💤"

Doug- "she is, she finally fell asleep 3 hours ago, Kamryn's fever broke around 1 this morning, then Kam wanted a snack so I made her a hot fudge sundae with brownies"

Maya- "I made both of you french toast and sausage I will make coffee when sis gets up unless you want me to go to Starbucks I know her favorite"

Doug-"I think get favorite Starbucks will cheer her up, can you get me a medium dark roast grande"

Maya- "I will go now and get it, Mommy said she would be over after work, and Meena will be over soon, she was making breakfast for Amara, but I know Amara will want to eat with Auntie"

Doug- "yes she will and thanks Maya, tell me how much I will pay you when you get back"

Maya- "Doug, it's my treat"

Doug- "thanks Maya"

Maya leaves and Doug looks over at the couch and he sees Kamala is starting to wake up.

Kamala- "mm Dougie did you make French toast?

Dougie- "Maya did she surprised us and brought it over a few minutes ago she said she would be back in a few minutes, she went to get you a surprise"

Kamala- "Maya's the best little sister, what is she getting me, hopefully Kamryn will let me eat before she wants her breakfast"

Doug- "I don't know, she didn't tell me, but let's eat while it's hot"

Maya comes back with coffee for her, Doug and Kamala.

Kamala- "Maya my favorite?"

Maya- "yes sis your favorite... I know yesterday was hard for you and I remember when Meena had to get her baby shots and how fussy she was and when Meena has to take Amara and Leela for their shots"

Kamala- "thank you for the coffee, I wonder why Dougie didn't make any"

Doug- " I didn't make any because I didn't want the sound of the coffee making to wake you or Kamryn up, thanks Maya for the coffee"

Maya- "you're welcome"

Kamala- "Sis would u like to have breakfast with us"

Maya- "yes please, Meena is coming too, she was making more french toast"
