2.5 hours later... 11:00 pm

Doug gets up to check on Kamryn before going to bed, and he sees she's up and he picks her up hoping to let Kamala get more sleep before Kamryn starts crying. "Kamryn we are going to go into the family room and I will hold you hopefully mommy can get more sleep I know she's sleepy and I know you are too."

Doug lays her down on the couch and he changes her diaper, and then he washes his hands and he snaps her onesie and zips up her pj's they go and sit in his recliner, he lays a burp cloth on his shoulder and he puts Kamryn on his shoulder she puts her thumb in her mouth, and he turns on the tv really low and they watch sports center, Doug also takes Kamryn's temperature, it's 100.3, Kamryn, you need some Tylenol, Daddy's going to give you some then we will put your pacifier.

Doug- "Kamryn, this will make you feel better, Doug opens the bottle of the Tylenol, and he puts 1.25 in the dropper, and he puts the dropper in Kamryn's mouth and he pushes the button and she swallows it and Doug puts Kamryn's pacifier in and she lays on his shoulder.

~11:45 pm~

Kamala rolls over and she notices that Dougie isn't next to her. Kamala gets up and she sees that Kamryn isn't in her bassinet, and she starts to go into Kamryn's room, but she hears the tv on in the family room, she goes in there. When she walks in Kamryn starts crying she smelled Kamala's milk come down. Kamala walks over to Doug's recliner and she picks Kamryn up and lays her on her shoulder.

Kamala- "aww my handsome hubby and our princess"

Doug- "Hey honey, Kamryn wants you"

Kamala- "I woke up a few minutes ago and I rolled over and you weren't next to me but I saw the light on in here, and I heard the tv on, how long have you and Kamryn been up"

Doug- "45 minutes I was watching the rest of the dodgers game and when it was over I was getting ready for bed and I checked on Kamryn and she was up she looked like she was gonna start crying and. You looked adorable sound asleep I knew you were exhausted so we came in here got our diaper changed, temperature taken, some Tylenol and then we went back to sleep on my shoulder, and I put sports center on"

Kamala- "Kamryn, Mommy's right here, let me get my pillow and then you can have all of the milk you want, what was her temperature"?

Doug gets up from his recliner and gives Kamryn to Kamala and her pillow. "100.3"

Kamala sits on the couch and she has her pillow on her tummy, "Honey here's Kamryn, when she's done with her milk, Kamala lays Kamryn on her pillow and she unsnaps her tank top and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing, much better, I was really full and I was starting to hurt, that's actually what woke me up."

Kamala- "thanks"

Kamala- "Honey, I'm hungry, I know it's 12:15 am"

Doug- "what would you like to eat?'

Kamala- "hot fudge sundae and a piece of German chocolate cake that Maya made for dessert"

Doug- kisses her forehead then gets up and makes it for her

Kamala- "thanks Dougie"

Doug- "honey here's your snack, i will be right back with a glass of milk for you"

Kamala- "thank you, do you want any?"

Doug- "no thanks"

Kamala- "are you sure"

Doug- "yes i'm sure it's too early for chocolate and ice cream I remember when we were pregnant you would wake up around this time wanting ice cream and brownies"

Kamala-"yes I would get cravings all the time but not all the time they were for food" Kamala looks and she sees Kamryn is still nursing. 

Doug- "yes I remember those nights and early mornings, and sometimes your food cravings didn't sound good but I got them for you"

Kamala- "they were good at the time, now they don't sound good, can I have a burp cloth" Kamryn unlatched she carefully puts her boob away.

Doug - "I will burp her are you empty"

Kamala- "on the right I am, but I'm still full on the left, but she hasn't burped yet"

Kamala has the burp cloth on her shoulder and she has Kamryn on her shoulder and she's rubbing her back, a few minutes later, Kamryn burps. "That was a good burp Kamryn"

Doug- "do you want to pu.. he stops what he's saying"

Kamala- "looks at him "why would you say that? Why would you even think that?"

Doug- "my wife is hot 🥵 even at 12:30 in the morning, when she's half asleep, grumpy and gives me the look, is there a way you can empty your right one?"

Kamala- "yes, I'm going to put her on the other side, I'm so full it actually hurts"

Kamala- "yes there is can you rub her feet, she will start sucking again, she will wake up then I can get her to latch on again"

Doug- "but should we really wake her while she's sleeping?

Kamala- "yes i'm over full and it hurts"

Doug rubs Kamryn's feet she wakes up, she starts crying, she latches back on and finishes her milk. "Thanks Dougie, much better, when I get full like that, I'm hurting, that's usually how I know it's time to nurse"

Doug rubs Kamryn's feet and she wakes up and starts crying then she latches back on.

Kamala- "thanks Dougie, much better now, I knew she wasn't done, I was still full"

Doug leans back "she doesn't feel as warm she did earlier, I think her fever broke my shirt is wet, I didn't even put her blanket on my shoulder when we came in here at 11:45 because she was warm"

Doug- "Honey, here's a glass of milk to go with the cake and ice cream"

Kamala- "thanks, this cake tastes so good even at 12:30 in the morning, hopefully after Kamryn's done with her milk, we can all go back to bed, it's still nighttime"

Doug- "hopefully"

Kamala- "Kamryn hopefully when your done with your milk we can all go back to bed it's too early to be up"

Doug- "hopefully if not we all cuddle on the couch are you done with your snack"
