Kamala sits on the exam table and she has her pillow "I'm ready for Kamryn" Kamala unsnaps her tank top and she lays Kamryn on her pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts. nursing.

Kamala- "much better I was really full and I was hurting"

Dr. Robbins- "I'm going to clean Kamryn's leg while she's having her milk, and she will get her liquid vaccine when she's done with her milk, Abby is going to give her the other 2 shots when she's done with her milk in her right leg"

Kamala- "okay, I was hoping she would want to eat before we came"

Dr. Robbins cleans the left leg with some alcohol and she gives Kamryn her shot, and then she puts on a Minnie Mouse bandaid, on it, Kamala, don't worry about it, newborns are not on a schedule they nurse when they want to, that's why when I have a newborn wellness visit I allow extra time"

Kamala is holding back tears, while trying to be brave for Kamryn. Doug notices Kamala about to have a meltdown and he puts his hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "my baby is growing up so fast, please slow down"

15 minutes later...

Kamryn unlatches, and Kamala snaps her tank top and she picks Kamryn up, and she puts the burp cloth on her shoulder she rubs her back and a few minutes later Kamryn burps and she also spits up a little bit on the burp cloth.

Dr. Robbins- "Kamala, before you switch sides, I want to give Kamryn her liquid vaccine, and Abby gives her other two shots"

Kamala- "of course, she didn't want the other side yet, sometimes she wants it right away, other times she wants more milk a few minutes later"

Dr. Robbins- "yes that is okay, Kamryn might just want a snack, and then she will want more how often does she only nurse on one side before she wants the 2nd side, I'm going to give Kamryn her vaccine now and she has I'm hungry look"

Abby- "Kamala, can you turn Kamryn so I can give her other 2 vaccines"

Kamala- "of course, Kamryn, I know your hungry, let Mommy unsnap my shirt so you can have milk"

Dr. Robbins gives Kamryn her vaccine.

Kamala- "Abby, let me get Kamryn latched on the right side and then you can give her vaccines, you're right she was relaxed and side tracked while she got the 1st set of vaccines, I'm hoping she will do the same with this set"

Abby- "okay"

Kamala- "I know your hungry, Mommy's going to feed you, let me unsnap my tank top and you can have the rest of your milk puts the pillow on her tummy and then she unsnaps her tank top and puts Kamryn on the pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing. "I'm ready now Abby"

Abby cleans Kamryn's leg and she gives her the two shots and she puts two Minnie Mouse bandaids where she got her two shots.

Doug has his hands on Kamala's shoulders to calm her down. "Both of my girls did amazing, and yes one of them will get her ice cream and her favorite lunch"

Abby- "Kamryn was so brave, and Kamala you were too"

Kamala- "thank you"

Abby leaves

Dr. Robbins- "how's Kamryn doing with nursing, does she still need help with latching on"

Kamala-"she latches on much better now, she doesn't need help, during the day, but sometimes at night she does, she's getting much better at tummy time, she's started to lift her head and moving it from side to side"

Dr. Robbins- "that's good she's meeting her milestones"

Kamala looks and Kamryn has unlatched, she snaps her tank top, and she puts the burp cloth on her shoulder and she rubs Kamryn's back and a few minutes later Kamryn burps and she spits up on the burp cloth. "That was a good burp Kamryn"

Dr. Robbins- "I want to see her ears, do they seem to be hurting her"

Kamala- "I don't think so, they don't look as red as they did yesterday, we are turning them when we clean them, can I get her dressed, I know she's cold"

Dr. Robbins- "yes you can get her dressed, that's good, Kamryn is healthy, she's meeting her milestones do you have any other questions for me and I will see her for her 4 month wellness visit, if you have any questions call me or send me a message on my chart"

Doug- "I don't have any, do you Kam?"

Kamala- "I don't"

Dr. Robbins- "see you and Doug and Kamryn at her 4 month wellness visit"

Kamala- "we will see you then, and I will make Kamryn's appointment when we leave"

Dr. Robbins- "okay"

Dr Robbins leaves

Kamala- "Dougie, can I have the diaper bag, Kamryn needs to be changed before we go to lunch"

Doug- "of course, here's a clean diaper and the wipes, Kamryn did really well today and so did you"

Kamala- "thank you, I tried to be brave and Kamryn was distracted this time because she was having her snack when she got her vaccines"

Doug- "yes she was, and now she's trying to decide do I wanna nap or do I wanna look around"

Kamala lays Kamryn on the exam table, she gives Kamryn her toy to hold and she unsnaps her onesie and she changes her diaper, she cleans her and puts on a clean diaper, she puts Kamryn's shorts back on, and her socks, she washes her hands with the baby wipes and she picks Kamryn up and she puts her in her carrier and she buckles her up. "Honey, I put the dirty diaper in the diaper genie."

Kamala- "thanks, I think we have everything, can we go to Panda Express for lunch"

Doug- "of course, do you want to eat there or get a carry out and eat at home"

Kamala- "eat there, for now, if Kamryn gets fussy then we will get it to go and we will eat at home, I have Kamryn all buckled up in her car seat, you have her diaper bag, I got my purse"

Doug- "yes, let's go and make her 4 month wellness appointment, and then we will go to lunch"

Kamala picks Kamryn's carrier and Doug has her diaper bag and they leave the exam room and stop at the front desk, and they see Lilly.

Lilly- "Kamala, Dr. Robbins wants to see Kamryn in 2 months for her next well baby visit, what time would you like on August 8th, she has a 9:00, 10:45, 1:15, and 2:30"

Kamala- "9:00 am"

Lilly- "okay, we will see you on August 8th at 9 am"

Kamala- "thank you, we will see you then"

Doug and Kamala leave the doctor's office.

~In the car~

Doug snaps Kamryn's car seat into the base, Kamala gets into the front seat and buckles her seat belt, then she gets into the front seat and buckles her seat belt, and Doug gets in and buckles his seat belt and he drives to Panda Express.

~At Panda Express~

Doug parks and he unbuckles his seatbelt, "honey Kamryn's sound asleep, do you want me to get a carry out, or are we going to eat inside"

Kamala- "inside, just pick up her carrier, and I will put it on the booth next to me, I'm hungry, and I want to eat before Kamryn gets up, I know when she got her shots last month she was not happy and really grumpy and she wanted me to hold her more, she got a fever, which I know is normal"

Doug- "you're right she did, she's sound asleep in her carrier"

Doug gets out of the jeep and he opens the back door, and picks up Kamryn's carrier and her diaper bag, and Kamala unbuckles her seatbelt and she gets her purse, and they go inside to Panda Express.
Kamala, Doug are sitting at their table and Kamala has Kamryn's carseat next to her, while she's looking at the menu "I want the firecracker shrimp with rice and an egg roll, and diet coke, no ice what are you getting"

Doug- "sweet fire chicken, white rice with an egg roll, with diet coke no ice as well, I will be right back I'm go and get it"

Kamala- "okay"

Doug gets up from the table and goes to order their lunch and Kamala looks and she sees that Kamryn is starting to wake up, "Kamryn Mommy's going to hold you"

Kamala unbuckles Kamryn from her carrier, and picks her up, she puts in her pacifier in and is rubbing her back trying to comfort her. When Doug comes back with their lunch.

Kamala- "Dougie, can you get our lunch to go, Kamryn's warm and I really don't want her to start crying in the restaurant"

Kamala puts Kamryn in her carrier and buckles her seatbelt and she picks her carrier up and her purse and diaper bag, and she goes out to the car"

Doug- "of course let me tell them it's to go"

Kamala- "thanks, we will eat when we get home"

Doug- "you're welcome, here's the keys"

Kamala- "thanks"

Doug gets their lunch to go and goes out to the jeep.

Kamala picks Kamryn's carrier up and they go outside and she opens the back door to the jeep and she puts Kamryn's carrier in the base and it clicks, she puts Kamryn's pacifier in, and the diaper bag and her purse on the seat next to Kamryn's carseat.

Kamala closes the back door and she gets into the front seat and she puts on her seatbelt, Doug comes a minute later and puts their food in the trunk, and he gets into the jeep and he buckles his seat belt and they drive home.

~Kamala and Doug's House~

~In the car~

Kamala looks as soon as Doug is turning out of Panda Express, "Dougie, Kamryn's asleep, but I don't know for long, hopefully we can eat before she wakes up"

As soon as Doug is turning in the driveway Kamryn decides that she's hungry, and she lets her Mommy and Daddy know how good her lungs are.

Kamala- "Kamryn, we are home, I know your hungry, let Mommy get you out of your carseat"

Doug- "you get Kamryn, and I will bring in the diaper bag and your purse"

Kamala- "thanks Babe, Kamryn, Momala's coming"

Kamala opens the back door to the jeep and unbuckles Kamryn from her carseat and picks her up, "Kamryn, as soon as we get inside you can have your milk"

~Inside~

Kamala- "Kamryn, let mommy unsnap her shirt and sit down in her recliner and then you can have all of the milk you want"

Kamala unbuckles Kamryn from her carrier and she picks her up and they go and sit in the recliner and Kamala unsnaps her tank top strap and she has her pillow on her tummy and lays Kamryn on her pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing.

Doug comes in a few minutes later with their lunch "Chrisette called, while I was getting lunch out of the car, she said she called you, and got your voicemail that's why she called me"

Kamala- "I saw she called on my watch, I was getting Kamryn latched on, and my phone was in the diaper bag, what did she want"?

Doug- "she is coming over after work, to see us and she has a present for Kamryn, when she was at Disneyland last weekend"

Kamala- "what time is she coming, I like that she works with us in daycare, and she will be in Kamryn's room with Chrisette's daughter Madison, she's a month older then Kamryn, and Abby is in Amara's room at day care"

Doug- "after work, she gets off at 4:30 I said that we would make dinner or get pizza and salad what ever you wanted, yes it will be good that Kamryn knows one friend when she starts daycare"

Kamala looks and she sees Kamryn has unlatched, she picks Kamryn up and she has the burp cloth on her shoulder and she puts Kamryn on her shoulder and rubs her back, and Kamryn burps a few minutes later, she also spits up a little bit on the burp cloth.

Kamryn tries to nurse on Kamala's shoulder "Kamryn, there's no milk on Momala's shoulder"

Kamala picks Kamryn up from her shoulder and she unsnaps her other tank top strap and lays Kamryn on her pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing. "Kamryn's having her lunch, can you warm up our lunch, I'm hungry, hopefully after lunch Kamryn will take a nap because I need a nap before Chrisette comes over with Madison"

Kamala yawns "I'm sleepy but I'm hungry, can you please bring me my lunch from Panda Express, and a diet coke"

Kamala looks and Kamryn is still nursing.

Doug- "of course, I already got it warmed up, you're so beautiful"

Kamala- "thanks Honey"

Doug brings Kamala her cup with her diet coke I will be right back with our lunch I got my cup of diet coke as well"

5 minutes later...

Kamala looks and Kamryn has unlatched, and she snaps her tank top "Honey, you eat I will burp Kamryn and change her"

Kamala- "thanks"

Kamala gives Kamryn to Doug and he has the burp cloth on his shoulder and he rubs Kamryn's back and a few minutes she burps and she spits up a little bit on the burp cloth. "That was a good burp"

Doug- "Kamryn it's okay, let daddy wipe your face"

Doug wipes Kamryn's face with the burp cloth "Princess, what's wrong, that doesn't sound like your hungry cry, you just had milk, but let's see if you want more milk, let me give you back to Momala she has milk for you"

Kamala puts her dish down on the table next to her recliner and puts her pillow back on her tummy. Doug gives Kamryn back to Kamala.

Kamala- "Kamryn are you still hungry, Daddy's right that don't sound like your hungry cry"

Kamala unsnaps her tank top strap and lays Kamryn on her pillow, Kamryn doesn't latch in, and keeps crying, "your not hungry, because you won't latch on, even when I try to help you" Kamala snaps her tank top and she picks Kamryn up and puts a burp cloth on her shoulder and she lays her on her shoulder and starts rubbing her back to comfort her.

Doug- "let me change her while you eat lunch"

Kamala- "Dougie look, she's sound asleep on my shoulder, we will change her after she gets up"

Doug- "okay, let's eat lunch then it's nap time for both of my girls"

Kamala yawns "sounds good"

Kamala and Doug eat lunch...

½ hour later...

Kamala- "lunch was good, and I'm sleepy, but I know we do not wake up a sleeping baby"

Doug- "no we don't, let me carefully take her and put her on my shoulder while you take your nap on the couch, I know your sleepy"

Kamala yawns

Kamala- "thanks Honey, A nap sounds good, hopefully Kamryn will sleep for her usual 2-3 hour nap, because Mommy needs a nap before Chrisette, Madison, and Abby come"

Doug carefully picks Kamryn up from Kamala's shoulder and lays her on his shoulder, "she's still asleep, lay down and put your feet on my lap"

As soon as Kamala lays down and puts her feet on Doug's lap, she's sound asleep, while Kamryn lays on Doug's shoulder sound asleep.

45 minutes later...

Doug sees that Kamryn is starting to wake up, he rubs her back to comfort her, he notices that Kamryn is going to start crying so he carefully moves Kamala's feet so he can get up and walk with Kamryn, "let's get your diaper changed then we will get Mommy up"

Doug and Kamryn go into her room and he lays her on the changing table, he takes off Kamryn's pants and unsnaps her onesie, and Kamryn start crying "Kamryn, I know your not feeling well, and your legs hurts. Let's get your diaper changed and then we will get mommy up see if you want milk, and give you some Tylenol for your legs it will make them feel better. Doug gives Kamryn a rattle to hold, while he changes her diaper, he unsnaps her onesie and then he undoes her diaper and cleans her with the wipes and he gets a clean diaper and he puts it on and then he closes the tabs and he snaps her onesie back up and he puts the dirty diaper in the diaper genie and washes his hands with the baby wipes and he picks Kamryn up from her changing table, and he gives her pacifier, and they go into his and Kamala's room and go into the bathroom, and takes her temperature and it's 97.5, he gets the bottle of baby Tylenol out of the cabinet, and he opens the bottle and he puts 1.25 ml in the dropper and he goes to sit in the rocking chair that is in the corner and he takes out Kamryn's pacifier and he gives her the dropper with the Tylenol and he pushes the button, and Kamryn swallows it, "that's my girl, this will make you feel better, your not warm, that's good, let's put your pacifier in. I think you want Mommy, I know what you want, and I don't have any milk, only Mommy does"

Doug and Kamryn go back into the family room, Kamryn's laying on Doug's shoulder and she spits out her pacifier and she starts crying. "Kamryn let's get Mommy up"

Kamala- "I'm up, Kamryn I know that cry, you want milk"

Doug gives Kamryn to Kamala, Kamala has her pillow on her lap, and she unsnaps her tank top and lays Kamryn on her pillow and Kamryn latches on and starts nursing. "How was your nap"

Kamala- "short, I woke up when I heard Kamryn crying when you were changing her diaper, how red are her legs, I know they are hurting her"

Doug- "they are red, she's happy now, she got what she wanted, I did take her temp it was 97.5, I did give her some Tylenol after I changed her diaper, she's a little warm now, but she doesn't have a fever"

Kamala- "thanks, I was going to give her some after she was done with her milk, she's a little warm, and for dinner, can you make spaghetti and garlic bread for Chrisette and us, Abby, will have that she's 2, and Madison is on Chrisette's milk, she's a month older then Kamryn. I'm exhausted, and I know Kamryn is going to want me to hold her, I will help, Abby's is going to have apple juice in her sippy cup, and she will eat in Amara's highchair"

Doug- "you're right, she will, I can make spaghetti, that's one of the things I can do myself, I have a very hot teacher"

Kamala smirks- "Dougie, not in front of little ears, but thank you"
