A few minutes later they hear a knock on the door, when Kamryn hears the knock on the door she wakes up and she starts crying. Kamala unbuckles her seatbelt from her carrier and picks her up and is trying to comfort her, she puts her pacifier in, but Kamryn spits it out and Doug catches it before it can fall on the floor.

Doug- "I got the pacifier before it could fall on the floor"

Kamala- "thanks"

Dr. Robbins- "Hi Kamala, Doug, Kamryn, I see Kamryn's not happy at the moment"

Kamala- "she just woke up, I'm trying to comfort her, it doesn't sound like her I'm hungry cry, I did notice that her tummy is red, around the top of her diaper, and my niece said it's because her diapers might be too small, I know it's not a diaper rash on her tummy"

Dr. Robbins- "you're niece is right, right now Kamryn's only on your milk, so it wouldn't be an allergy to anything she's eating, another way you can tell if Kamryn's diapers are too small is if you can't fit two fingers comfortably under the waistband does she have kids around the same age as Kamryn"

Kamala- "she has 2 girls who are 2 and 11 months, and thank you I know how to tell when Kamryn's diapers are too small, Kamryn I think your hungry, I know what your looking at let's try your pacifier again"

Doug gives Kamala the pacifier and she puts it in Kamryn's mouth.

Dr. Robbins- "your niece knows about babies then, I need you to take off Kamryn's shorts, and her onesie, and her diaper and lay on her on the scale, with out her diaper, she weighs 8 pounds 5 ounces, and she's 21 inches long which is in the range for babies when they are 2 months old, babies who are nursing sometimes gain weight slower then babies who are on formula, Kamryn is healthy and she's gaining weight, so I'm not worried, her lungs sound really good, and that is definitely an I'm hungry cry"

Dr. Robbins- "you can put on her diaper and her onesie, don't put her shorts on until after she gets her shots"

Kamala puts Kamryn's diaper and onesie back on, and is holding her, and rubbing her back.

Kamala- "if your not worried then Doug and I aren't worried about her weight, she's gaining weight, she's healthy, she started smiling and cooing a few days ago and she kicks her feet when she hears me, Doug, Maya, Meena, Mommy come into the room she's in, she's usually awake for 45 minutes to an hour before she takes a nap, her long nap is usually after lunch which is 2 and half to 3 hours, I noticed yesterday she was trying to hold her rattle and she's trying to put her fist in her mouth, she usually does that right before she wants milk, and she's starting to squeal and laugh"

Doug- "she smiles and kicks her feet when my parents come into the room she's in, a few of her favorite spots to take her naps are either my shoulder, or Kamala's shoulder and she doesn't like to be in her bassinet if she's not sleeping, she loves tummy time, and she's starting to hold her head up, while she has tummy time"

Dr. Robbins- "Kamryn is growing and she's healthy, who is going to hold her while she gets her shots, she need 6 shots, 1 of them is a liquid, and she will only have to get poked 3 times because the shots are combined, I need you to take out her pacifier out so I can give her liquid vaccine, have you clipped her nails yet"?

Kamala- "I'm going to hold her, I have to feed her, I'm really full and I'm hurting, and I'm leaking, yes we did, my niece showed me how to clip them a few days ago, when she saw how long Kamryn's nails were, she said to do them while Kamryn was napping, and I did"

Kamryn starts crying and spits her pacifier out and tries to nurse on Kamala's shoulder"

Doug catches the pacifier before it falls on the floor.

Dr. Robbins- "Kamala, sit on the exam table, and nursing while I give Kamryn her vaccines is actually a great way to help her relax and distract her and it may even help with the pain"
