Race
(F/n) is riding Ben while he follows Sabby to a hill. "We're almost there guys! Just a little more ways to go!" she called out to them as they kept going up. She hopped off of Ben and stood at the edge of the hill, looking over the town she lives in. She sighs as she sits down and digs in her bag to pull out a picture of her and Zelda ice skating with their father and mother watching. "If only we can go back to the old days," (F/n) thought before putting away the picture. Ben sat next to (F/n) and made a soft, short buzz sound. (F/n) looked at him and sighed before saying, "I'm guessing all that walking was a bit much."
She pulled out a screwdriver and started screwing a screw back into place in Ben's head. Sabby looked around and saw a house on a on the other side of the hill causing Sabby to run over. (F/n) looked at Sabby and called out, "Sabby! Come back bud!" Ben was about to run after, but (F/n) stopped them. "Whoa, you're going have to stay back and hide somewhere. I'll get Sabby," (F/n) spoke to Ben before going after Sabby. Ben went to go hide. Sabby was crawling into a window as (F/n) got close. "Sabby," she called out in a low voice as Sabby fell in. (F/n) crawled in, trying not to break anything before she grabbed him.
"You silly pup, you should know better--" she was cut off by seeing a blue feathered Rito in a hammock, sleeping causing her to tense up. "Shit, shit, shit, shit," she kept thinking before she took Sabby out of the room though the window. She looked at the mirror to see the silent princess she gave to Revali and a picture of Revali and his family by marriage. "Revali??" she thought as the Rito turned over, facing the window, the moon shining on his face. She looked at him and sighed before thinking, "Yup, Revali... I'm screwed, but this is gonna be good." she pulled out some dye from her feathers, smirking.
She popped open the box and pulled out the dye before hearing a soft groan from Revali causing her to panic before hiding in a closet. Revali lazily woke up, sitting up as he rubbed his eyes while (F/n) couldn't help but feel her heart ache from cuteness. "Like a child waking up," she thought to herself as she covered her mouth, not to squeal. Revali got up and walked to the closet and opened it to look at (F/n) who was trying to hide. He just looked at her before saying, "Get out, you weirdo." she left the closet and tossed the dye to a basket without looking. "How did you know I was in there?" she asked as he replied back with, "Honestly, I didn't know you were in there... until I noticed a bag that says, "(F/n) Hyrule, bitches!" in peppermint ink."
She giggled nervously before saying, "Riiight, I forgot about that." he chuckled before patting her head. "Be lucky I'm not like your sister or anyone else... unless you were a complete stranger than I would have to kick your ass," he spoke causing her to laugh a bit. "You? Kick my ass? Just because you beat up a few mare kids yesterday doesn't mean you can kick my ass," she spoke, challenging him. "Alright, outside, now," he demanded it causing her to jump out the window with her bag in hand. Revali crawled out and saw Sabby waiting for (F/n). "You brought your dog?" he asked as (F/n) corrected him, "Wellll, it went like this. Sabby, Ben, and I went out for some time out of the house."
He wasn't amused but didn't question any further. "Alright, we'll have a race on who can make it all the way over to... the school," he spoke as she leaned backwards. "Really? The school? Do you have your hoodie because I so can beat you there," she spoke as he growled before crating a updraft, taking off. "Good luck making it to the school!" he called out as he flew towards the school. She dug in her bag and pulled out something. "LET'S FLY!" she spoke as she opened the glider she pulled out and used the updraft that Revali made, taking off after Revali.
Sabby went to go look for Ben to wait for (F/n). Back with Revali, he looked behind him to see her behind him. He landed and made another updraft to go higher and further. She did the same before seeing a horse. She landed on the horse and snapped the horses hair causing the horse to neigh before running. He checked on (F/n) only to see she isn't there causing him to stop and look around. "Come on bud!" he heard (F/n) causing him to look down to see her riding a horse. He flew down and flew by her side. She looked over and made the horse go faster. "You cheeky girl!" Revali yelled as she laughed wholeheartedly. "Says the one who wanted to race me!"
When they came to a cliff, she jumped off in time and opened her glider, gliding down to the school as Revali swooped down fast. She forced her glider to stop before she landed on Revali's back. He was startled, but didn't go down. She held onto him for dear life before he landed. "You cheeky girl... we ended in a tie," he spoke as she laughed before letting go of him and onto the ground. "You should be lucky that I didn't die while I was winning," she spoke causing him to laugh "You? Winning? Sorry, but I could have sworn that I was the one winning while you were strangling," he spoke as she grabbed him by the beak and pulled him down a bit. "You're a funny bird, but I was winning." "No, I was," he spoke as he pushed her hand off of his beak.
"I was." "No, I was." "No." "Yes." "No." "Yes." this went on a few more times until they were practically nose to nose. (F/n) growled before kissing Revali on the beak causing his feathers to puff up in surprise. She pulled away. "Ha, you can't even handle kissing me without getting all ruffled up, how--" she was cut off by Revali picking her up and "kissing" her to the best of his capability. She blushed as bright as the fireflies at night before she melted into the kiss. When they pulled away, they stared into each other's eyes. "I fucking hate you," (F/n) muttered while Revail replied back, "I love you too." he picked her up onto his back and flew back to his home with (F/n) holding onto him. He felt complete with (F/n), but... he knew it's not meant to be.
She's meant to be with someone of her race and she couldn't love him. After all... he's just a bird and she's a beautiful goddess in his eyes. When they landed at his place, she let go of Revali and kissed him on the cheek which startled him. "That was fun. I hope we can race again sometime," she spoke as he looked at her, smiling as his heart was soaring to the rooftops. "I hope so too, princess," he spoke causing her to chuckled as she walked away. "Whatever you say, birdbrain," she spoke before heading back to Sabby and Ben. Revali sighed as he watched the girl of his dreams leave his view. Revali turned around only to see Tulin hanging upside down. "Was that your girlfriend uncle Rev?" he asked as Revali grabbed Tulin and set him down.
"No, she isn't my girlfriend, she's just a friend," he spoke as Tulin pouted before saying, "Lair! You like her, you always mention her in your diary after you sleep." Revali watch Tulin climb into Revali window with him on his tail. "You read my diary?!" he asked, clearly upset. "There isn't much to do when you're done with homework!" Tulin spoke back as Revali covered his face, sighing. "No more reading my diary for starters, and she isn't my girlfriend, she's just--" he was cut off by Tulin asking, "The girl you always dream about saving you while crying out your name?" Revali pushed Tulin out of his room and closed the door, locking it before he went to his hammock and landed in it, sighing out of frustration. He touched his beak and smiled as his heart kept pounding
Ben, Sabby, and (F/n) made it home. (F/n) climbed into her room while Sabby rounded Ben into the shed. She climbed into bed, sighing as she touched her lips, her heart still pounding. "This is my life... I think Revali is the one meant for me and no one can change that," she thought before bundling herself up in blankets. "Tomorrow is another day, but he'll be there. I know he will," she spoke to herself before falling asleep.
