Revali flew in front of the gym once everyone left. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched, but he didn't mind it. Not just because his ego liked it, no, it's because he's going have to get used to it since he betrayed his friends to save (F/n). He sighed before entering the gym to see Ms. Impa cleaning. She had sliver hair that was graying and warm clothes. "Ms. Impa?" Revali called out, gaining her attention. "Yes Revali, how can I help you?" she asked as he sighed before asking, "You know a lot, do you know why I tend to get vivid images in my head whenever I'm around (F/n)?" he felt dumb for asking but she couldn't help but chuckle. "Revali, have you ever felt like that this isn't your first time meeting (F/n)?"
he thought for a bit there before answering, "Yes, I have felt like that, but why do you ask?" She lead Revali to her office and brought out a old book. "Before you or anyone in our time, back when Calamity Ganon himself was still around, there was a young princess," she started as Revali interrupted, "You mean princess Zelda?" Impa looked at Revali and spoke, "No. You see, they have the history wrong. But my great, great, great, great, great grandmother was there. She kept the memory alive and so we can pass it on to one another to know what really happened. The princess was named (F/n)," she continued on as she flipped the book opened to a page with a picture of princess Zelda, King Rhoam, and princess (F/n).
Revali looked and saw how alike (F/n) and the princess looked. "But when Zelda had a vision that the Calamity would hit, she started gathering up champions as we all know as Daruk, Urbosa, Mipha, and Revali whom you are named after." she turned to the next page of Daruk holding Mipha, Urbosa, Revali, Link, and Zelda close while smiling widely. He couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. "Soon, princess (F/n) and Revali started becoming friends and often joked around each other even when everyone didn't think that he would joke... until he was dubbed as her appointed knight," she flipped to a page of (F/n) pushing Revali into the water and another picture of Revali being knighted.
He felt winded all of a sudden as the feeling of him crashing water brushed over him. "But they were good friends. She gave him this when it was near princess Zelda's birthday," she kept going as she turned to a page of a mythical glow of a pendent. Revali felt so connected to the pendent as if he had seen it before and he held it in a place in his heart. "But alas, the Calamity hit. As you know from your history lessons, the champions died," she started as he still got visions of wanting to murder Link in every place they went.
"But one of the champions survived thanks to the help of his princess whom he was meant to protect. Before that finishing blow from the Ganon whom took over Vah Medoh, she pushed in over the edge to save his life." a sudden flash before his eyes as he saw himself falling from the sky. The canon fired causing Reavli to yell for (F/n), but she jumped down and hovered over him. "They crash landed in snow, he was protecting her in his arms... he was passed out from his wounds," she went on as she turned to a page of (F/n) trying to wake Revali, tears rolling down her eyes. He felt his whole world stop as he saw her (e/c) eyes spilling tears.
"But a warriors came and saved him as two others saved the fallen hero; Link, she and Zelda both used their piece of the Triforce to seal Ganon," she went on as she closed the book and put it away. "But, what happened?" he asked, wanting to know what happened to the rest of the story. She sighed before turning to Revali. "A 100 years passed where Reavli and Link awoken and started their long adventure to free the champions. They had bumps in the road, but they managed to save the champions. They were also gifted garbs by Zelda whom trusted my grandmother to protect them... but when the Calamity fell, the darkness tainted in the Triforce of Power which was bestowed upon (F/n), had turned her into one of those Ganons," Impa spoke as Revali felt his world sink.
"She begged Link to end her while Zelda cried over for her sister... once it was over, she felt at peace while her piece of the Triforce returned back to it's land. Link had given the body to master Revali whom took her to The Great Plateau where she lays right now," Impa finished as Revali's heart felt broken, but wasn't. "Thank you for telling me this Ms. Impa," Revali spoke before taking off. "No problem Revali. Be sure to tell your "princess" that I said "hi"!" she chuckled at the end. Revali took off flying to (F/n)'s place at top speed while remembering those images he had.
"So it could be very possible that I remember from my past life... but it's impossible, there is no way that it was me with (F/n). She's not my type or anything... princess (F/n) is beautiful. I'm not saying that (F/n) isn't beautiful, but she just isn't my--" he stopped once he swooped down to see (F/n) petting Sabby with Ben by her side. Her messy (h/c) hair that he hates covering her beautiful (e/c) eyes, her smile that shines brighter than Zelda's and a thousand suns, her touch which feels soft as a freshly groomed animals fur, the way she moves is like the wind flowing gently on a nice warm July day, her attitude that makes her so realistic than other girls, her scent of the rare of silent princesses, and how free spirited she is.
"Shit," was the last thing Revali thought as he felt his heart soar high at the sight of (F/n). He dropped down and landed causing Ben to aim at Revali, before calming down and facing at to (F/n). (F/n) turned around to see Revali. "Oh, hey Revali," she spoke as she looked away, allowing Sabby to get up and run off to play. Revali walked up to her and placed her bag next to her. "You're still upset at what Zelda is doing?" he asked as he sat next to her. "Yep. I don't see why she wants to do this. She can't just do this all because she's practically being forced to! I mean come on, who would just change themselves to please their parents?!"
(F/n) asked as she wiped her eyes. Revali wrapped his wing around (F/n). "A few people do it, but changing who they love or want to be, or who they are deep down is something they can't do. They're meant to be who they are. (F/n) pushed Revali to the side. "No touchy. I hate hugs," she spoke as he felt like he heard this before only the other way around. He sighed before thinking of something. "Hey, I know something that'll get your mind off of this. How about we fly somewhere?" he asked causing her to tilt her head in confusion. Ben got up and walked to the shed to go recharge causing Sabby to run after Ben. "I dunno... father wants me to play the piano for the party he's throwing for Zelda's birthday tonight," (F/n) spoke.
"I'm sure your father can wait for you," Revali spoke as he got up and offered his wing to (F/n). She looked up at Revali and smiled softly. "Alright fine," she spoke as she grabbed Revali's wing to be helped up. In a shift move, he pulled her onto his back and took off flying causing her to scream in surprise. She held onto him tightly, scared that she might fall off. "It's okay, you're not going to die," Revali spoke as she slowly opened her eyes to look around causing her to enjoy the world around her, the freedom of being in the sky and beauty of the sky. She raised her hand up to few a cloud on her fingertips causing her to smile widely.
Revali kept flying before landing on a tower that has grown with plant life.. (F/n) jumped off of Revali and looked at the whole town from above with a sparkle in her eyes. "Revali, this is amazing," she spoke as she faced Revali. "Yeah, it is. I always enjoy flying up here to take my mind off of things and to enjoy the view of the ruins," he spoke as he sat down on the edge with (F/n) sitting next to him while facing the ruins of the old castle. She leaned her head on Revali's shoulder causing him to tense up. "It's nice to see things from a new point of view. Can I tell you something?" she asked causing him to snap out of it and answer, "You just did, but go ahead."
She kept looking forward at the castle. "I always dreamt of flying high into the sky away from my problems and to be free, but... being Hylian, it's impossible unless you take a dumb jet which takes away the feeling of being free," she spoke as Revali petted her head. "I know. Ever since then, it's hard for Rito to fly without getting in the way, but I still fly when I can," he replied back causing her to look at Revali whom looked at her. They felt a spark with each other causing them to look away, flustered which made Revali's feathers ruffle and the tip of (F/n)'s ear to turn red.
(F/n) got up and and went to the unit in the tower. Revali looked at (F/n) to see her looking at a silent princess that had grown on it. "It's strange... no one dared to come here because the Temple of Time is here causing them not to touch anything on this land... I heard that somewhere here is a whole patch of silent princesses. I really want to go look for it," she spoke as Revali got up and walked to her. "Then I shall take you there," he replied as she looked at him and smiled. She jumped on his back and spoke, "Then onward, little birde!" and so he took off to look for the patch of silent princess.
They landed to see a rock in moss with silent princesses in front of it. (F/n) eyes sparkled as she looked at it. "It's amazing how they grew in one little patch. They're normally hard to grow from the ground itself and by seed, but this is truly a nice sight," she kept going on and on as Revali looked around and felt a eerie feeling of being there. "Revali... please take care of her and protect her," a soft voice whispered causing him to tense up and look behind him to see no one. "Hey birdbrain, are you listening?!" (F/n) asked causing him to look. "Sorry, I was just thinking," he lied causing her to pout. "Alrighty then. I asked if you wanted a flower crown," she asked causing him to chuckle before saying, "No, I'm good."
"Alright," she spoke before going down on her knees and whispering softly to it before plucking it and looking at Revali who looked away from (F/n) causing her to smirk and get up and tying the silent princess on one of his braid. He glanced over at (F/n) before asking, "What are you doing?" he was freaking out because only those who are partnered or married do this along with his heart pounding. "I'm just fixing your feathers, silly," she spoke before pulling away and smiling. He looked away before checking the sky to see the sun has almost set. "I should get you home, you stubborn girl," he spoke as she hopped onto his back. "Then fly Vail Vali!" and so he took off, heading to (F/n)'s home.
When they made it, he dropped her off at the front door. "Thank you for helping clear my mind. I owe you one," she spoke before hugging Revali. He hugged her back, feeling a sense of relief from her embrace. She let go and went inside her home through the back before he took off, cheering that he's getting closer and closer to her. He flew home, smiling widely... but when he got home and to his room, he took off the ties holding his feathers only to see the silent princess she tied on. He felt his heart go crazy, but he calmed himself down by scolding himself.
He tied the silent princess on his mirror. "Revali, you better go to bed or I'll kick your ass!" his "father" yelled which made Revali yell back, "Okay "dad"!" Revali chuckled as he passed a picture of him and Teba fighting with Teba's son and wife just standing there, watching them fight. He crawled into his hammock and sighed as he looked out the window at the moon shining in the sky. "Tomorrow is a new day," he thought before he drifted off to sleep.
