The sun began to peak through the closed blind, partially illuminating the dark blue room which was nearly done being painted. Key term being nearly. Nova, hadn't even felt the effects of the sleepless night, instead stood in the centre of her room, a paint brush in her hand and blue pain covering her clothes, face and parts of her hair.
She didn't care though, she was doing things the 'muggle way' and it felt truly gratifying.

Glancing to her alarm clock which was perched on the window ledge, the green digits read 06:30, and Nova knew that it was time to call it quits for now and prepare for the school day ahead.

Taking a quick shower and running through her morning routine, she finished it up by pulling on her uniform and tying her newly coloured blue and silver tie around her neck. It was strange really, the Ravenclaw crest was bronze and blue yet the tie was silver and blue.
Leaving her bag resting on her plastic covered bed (projecting it from paint splatters), Nova left her dorm and the Ravenclaw tower, making her way down to the great hall for some well needed breakfast.

A scarce amount of other students were there, a calming atmosphere filling the hall as those who were there idly chatted and munched in their breakfast.
Nova took a seat at the nearly empty Ravenclaw table, reaching for a plate full of toast and a mug of coffee that she grinned at before opening the book she had brought along with her and losing herself in the world of fantasy.

Her escape didn't last long though, not when two people who she vaguely recognised came rushing inside, snickering and laughing as they plonked themselves down at the Gryffindor table.

Nova rolled her eyes in irritation, it was Glasses and curly. Did their annoyance meet no end? Apparently not as they made their way over to her, seeming to almost strut and ooze arrogance, something that they would call confidence. Nova just called it cocky.

They took a seat facing her and Nova had to bite her tongue in fear of a sarcastic comment falling out of her mouth with no control. Placing her book down, she managed to acknowledge their presence first thing this time round as they stared her down.

"We never really did get to introduce ourselves did we?" Glasses stated, stealing a slice of toast from her plate which she glared at him for.
"I'm James, James Potter" he informed her around a mouthful food.

"Sirius, Sirius Black" curly nodded, and Nova nodded back.
"The small one who you saw was Peter and the tall one is Remus." Sirius added.

"Your schedule Nova" the head of Ravenclaw stated with a warming smile, passing said girl the schedule before walking off.

"Pleasure" she stiffly smiled looking back at the two boys, drinking the rest of her coffee and eating the last slice of her toast before standing to her feet and taking her book into her hand along with her schedule.

"Wait! Aren't you going to introduce yourself to us?" James called after her, but Nova was already near the heavy, oaken doors when she turned on her heel.

"Why would I need to do that? You already know my name" she brushed off, exiting the two Gryffindor lads line of sight, leaving them in awe at how mysterious she was.

Quickly making her way up to the Ravenclaw tower, she grabbed her needed textbooks for the days classes and shoved them into her messenger bag before heading down to the first class. Of course, after the help of a Ravenclaw prefect who pointed her in the way for her first class.

First class was herbology which was apparently shared with Hufflepuffs, either way, she was in the third green house and Nova was not looking forward to working with plants at all.
Things would never workout in the way she wanted them to when living plants and flowers were involved, Nova just wished gloves were provided and a necessity.

Otherwise? She could already see herself failing this given subject with no doubts.
The greenhouse was spacious yet welcoming, and Nova managed a small smile on her face as she took a seat and watched students slowly pile in.

The Professor was the last to arrive, a broad grin on her face as she addressed the class and not long after, started the lesson.
