The suns soft morning rays shined through the frosted window. Reflecting with much beauty, entering the silent room, filling it with the light of a new day as the darkness of the night fades with times cycle.

The light reached the closed eye lids of a peacefully sleeping Serena who remained smiling happily, her dreams making time seem endless. Her dreams reflected through her smile. Happy. Peaceful. Elegant.

"SERENA! Time for school!!" Her mother's voice yells, obstructing the harmony of her dream, her smile fading as her eyes twitch and slowly awakens to meet the morning light which brought the spark of her smile back as she layer facing the window of while the light had entered through. Remembering the previous night and the magic of a wish she fantasised for reality.

Still having her mind half in her dreams which she was battling to hang onto as they start fading from memory, Serena forces herself out of the comfort of her warm bed, a feeling dreaded by most. Opening the window and breathing in the cool, morning air as the soothing breeze blew though her hair and into her room.

"Another day another chance." She says to herself, her eyes closed as she becomes lost in thought before something unexpected flashes in her mind. A boy. Not one she knew or was familiar with.

Her eyes shot open in shock as the mental image of the mystery boy disappears as fast as it appears but not completely. An extend arm reaching out is all she manages to save of the sudden vision.

"What just happened?" Serena asks herself before she beings to notices the warm feeling in her cheeks that had filled them with a bright pink colour.

Placing her hands on her cheeks Serena knew what was happening, this was new for her but she knew what it was. A blush. She never blushed before. Probably because she never had a reason to, But Serena felt a feeling of happiness and satisfaction in this new experience, smiling dreamingly as he blush only deepened at her realisation that she liked this new feeling.

"Serena! Come on! We don't have all day!" Her mother's voice sounded again which to Serena's disappointment slaughtered the moment mercilessly. The pink tint fading as Serena let out a gentle sigh.

"Another day another chance." Serena said again. Keeping those words fixated in her mind. As she got ready for the day ahead.

Of course Serena didn't go to school. She was homeschooled to her mother's requirements. Serena's mother believed that school would have a bad influence oh her little girl. She didn't want to send Serena to school out of fear she would meet a boy she liked. And an all girls school was out of the question as she believed it would make Serena a girly girl and make her more curious into the hidden desires of many teenage girls. At least at home Grace beloved she could keep her eagle eye fixated on her, her motherly supervision forever watching her for her protection.

Serena began her normal day, putting pen to paper as her mother taught her all she needed to know to be set up perfectly for the future her mother already had planned for her. Serena's workbook reflected her advanced knowledge in her mother's teachings, but it also reflected her true self as every page had a small star drawn neatly in the top left hand corner.

"Serena." Grace said trying to get her daughters attention. The class had being going for a few hours and Serena had started to drift away from work. Which became obvious through the small smile forming on her cheeks as she drew her star as traditional for every page.

"Serena darling are you even listening to me?" Her mother asked, time catching Serena's attention as let out a small hum and a nod to signal she was.

"Well that's enough for today. I need you to go out and get some ingredients for dinner tonight." Grace spoke, her words immediately hooking Serena into the conversation as they were a rarity in such a manner.

"Of course Mother!" Serena says. Excitement clearly immanent in her tone. Like a little kid entering a toy store. Except for Serena this toy store was the freedom from her Mother's protective gaze. A chance!
