Your POV

I was on top of the buildings in the place called "Inkopolis Square". The place has a lot of activities going on too. It's been two days after I woke up and I've been looking for any sign that shows that the Renegades are still here...I still haven't found any traces at all.

I managed to find an abandoned bunker at the outskirts of this city and found some clothes that I could use, how did these even survive for 12,000 years? I was wearing a hat, a plain white shirt, a jacket and pants and a pair of shoes.

All Inklings that I can see are going with their day, except for one Inkling that looks like she's aimlessly walking around. Then at the distance I saw one Inkling that was carrying a parasol with a green hue. I got my mind off of it and I looked over to the giant monitor on one of the buildings and it showed some sort of language that I can't read.

Then it faded and it showed an Inkling Girl that has a crown on her head and a very pale skin, and the same girl that talked to me when I first woke up. What was her name again? Right, Marina.

Pearl: Ya'll know what time it is!

Marina: This is Off The Hook, coming at you live from Inkopolis Square!

Pearl: Hey, Marina? I heared that you talked to the human that was discovered two days ago, is it true?

Marina: As true as it can be, Pearl.

Pearl: What did it say to you?

Y/N: Kind of offended that you called me an "it"........

Marina: "It" has a name, but he requested me to not tell his name. He's still getting used you this world.

Y/N: Huh, thanks Marina.

Marina: He asked me a few questions about where he is and who we are...I...I kind of feel bad, ya know? It's sad to know that you're the only one left in your kind and you don't know what's going on or what happened to the world you live in.

You're damn right that it's sad to know that you are the only one left of you're kind. But it's also kind of nice to see a new dominant species treating Earth a lot more better.

Pearl: Uh...why is our producer freaking out? Read the teleprompter, Marina!

Marina: Huh? Let's see here.....

The television behind them showed an image of a giant catfish which seems to be the Great Zapfish and an image indicating the disappearance of the Great Zapfish.

Marina: THIS JUST IN! The Great Zapfish has...disappeared?!

Pearl: Wait, like, for reals?! I feel like I've heared of this story somewhere before...

I facepalmed at what is happening...how can you make phones, laptops, T.V. and other gadgets if you don't even have a stable power supply?!

Then another image of an Inkling that I don't know showed in the television again.

Marina: There's more! Pop superstar Callie of the Squid Sisters has also gone missing! Oh how terrible does her cousin, Marie feel right now?

Pearl: NOOOO! NOT CALLIE! This is terrible! Do something, Marina!

Y/N: First the "Great Zapfish" disappeared and second, you don't have a stable power supply and now a superstar is nowhere to be found? What next?

Marina: Uh...Okay, I'll put together a search part-

Pearl: Whatever. I'm sure they'll turn up at some point. In other news....

Y/N: What the hell is wrong with you?!

Marina: But shouldn't we form a search a party or someth-

Pearl: Wait, there's more?! Marina, check the teleprompter again!

The image on the TV once again faded and the image was replaced by a live feed of......me?!

Marina: We found the human?!

Pearl: Oh my Woomy! It IS the human!

Then all of the Inklings at the area started surrounding the giant monitor and stared in shock as they all look at the live feed. Wait...live feed? I looked to my right side and saw an Inkling holding a camera and an Inkling that looks like a news reporter.

Inkling Girl: He's over there!

I looked over to the direction where I heared that shout and saw a few Inklings looking at me...........and if mean by a few, I mean by all of the Inklings in the Inkopolis Square.

Y/N:..................................................Fuck............................................

And so I bolted and removed my hat, what the hell is the point of the hat if people Inklings can still identify me with it, I saw a chopper at the distance coming towards me, I took out the activator for Apex and put it on my chest and tapped it twice and the armor materialized over me and I started running on the rooftops of any buildings I can see.

I jumped over vents, electric cables and many more but the chopper was still trying to chase me. Until I reached the point where I almost pull out the Mistress. But I stopped myself from doing so and kept running from the chopper.

At the corner of my eye I noticed something that was sharp and dangerous, I passed by a lightning rod and the chopper is heading directly at it. I shouted at them and gave them a warning.

Y/N: Watch out!

The pilot seemed to notice and tried to avoid the lightning rod but the tail rotor got caught causing it to explode and the chopper was now losing altitude at a high speed. I chased after the falling chopper and it landed on the edge of one of the buildings but it's slowly falling off the edge. I finally got there and I held onto the tail of the chopper and started pulling it away from the edge, the camera is still panned towards me but I don't care.

As soon as I finally managed to pull it away from the edge, the pilot and the passengers got out of the chopper, the passengers are the same reporter an the same cameraman earlier, the camera was still panned at me and I knew that I was still being recorded, they were just staring at me. I was about to walk away when both the Inkling Cameraman and the Inkling Reporter went in front of me.

Inkling Reporter: Sir! Sir! Is it true that you're the last human?

Y/N:...........................................................

Inkling Reporter: I'll take that as a yes, do you have something to say?

Y/N:..............................Watch where you're going if you're going to fly a chopper.

Then I jumped down from the building and I noticed a tunnel entrance that looks like a sewage system, I'm guessing it's a way out of here, I don't know where it leads...but if it means getting away from these human chasing Inklings then I'll take it. I grabbed it's sides of the grates and tore it open, I went inside and put the grates back like nothing happened and as soon as I was finally inside, I saw that the tunnel was filled with ink.

I measured how deep it is and it's just up to my chest, my armors is designed to swim in the speed of a shark when I am submerged in any liquid, and I mean any liquid. So I submerged myself and I started swimming in the same speed as a shark.

I reached the end of the tunnel and I kept trying to remove the grates so I could pass through, after a few attempts of removing it, I just punched it three or four times and it finally went off, I climbed out of the tunnel and I put the grates back. I turned around and saw a female Inkling with white tentacles for hair and was carrying a green parasol. She must be Marie.

Marie's POV

Octo Canyon; Tentakeel Outpost

I was reading the article of today's newspaper as Agent 4 was on her mission. I kept guiding her while still reading the newspaper, I read the article about the first human to be known to be still alive, I kind of am interested about him too. I saw a picture of what the human was wearing and it was unlike anything we have seen before.

It may be ancient but way more advanced than our tech. But why was he wearing that armor and why does he have those weapons? I just sighed and put down the newspaper and enjoyed the peace and quite of the canyon, wherever you are Callie, we will find you and save you.

I was enjoying the peace and quite until I heared a loud metal crash on the tunnel, like something was trying to get out. I grabbed my Splat-Charger and aimed it towards the tunnel, I was prepared to face an Octoling or an Octarian...but the one that went through was different. It finally managed to get the grates of the kettle off and and a 6 feet tall figure emerged from the kettle, it put the grates back and I got a better look at what it looks like, it's the human.

I knew that I wouldn't stand a chance against him, he isn't affected by being splatted and his weapons are very painful and dangerous to all of us Inklings, Octolings, and Octarians. He looked towards me and he started walking towards me, the sound of his metal boots stepping on the ground, then he stopped when he was just a feet away from me and I can sense a dangerous aura coming from him.

???: Are you Marie? The cousin of Callie?

Marie: Y-yes, I-I'm also looking for the Great Zapfish...t-t-t-the city would be in great danger if we don't find the Great Zapfish. I-I'm sorry for asking but what is your business here?

???: I came here to give you an offer.

Marie: W-what offer? I'm listening...

???: I offer myself to help you to find your cousin and the Great Zapfish of yours.

Marie: Why? You're a human and we are just a subspecies compared to you. Why help us?

???: It's because I have nothing better to do...and I have nothing else to lose. I am helping you because Earth is your home now, us humans are wrong to treat the world wrong and we got what we deserved.

Marie: It will be a dangerous task, are you sure that you want to do it?

???: Like I said, Marie. I have nothing else to lose, but I still need to find out more about you Inkling and Octolings, but you don't have to worry about that, I already know someone that can tell me because I know you would be busy and I don't want to be a bother. Do we have a deal?

Marie:..................................Deal. Welcome to the New Squidbeak Splatoon uhhhhhhhhhhhh..........what's your name?

???: Oh! Right, apologies.
Y/N L/N, at your service.

Marie: *thoughts* Y/N? That name is rather...cute. *normal* Welcome, Y/N. To the New Squidbeak Splatoon. You will be Agent.....hmmmm.....what to call you....

Y/N: Spartacus.

Marie: I'm sorry?

Y/N: Spartacus, that's what I was called what I was called when I was still in the military.

Marie: Very well, Agent Spartacus. Wait for Agent 4 to return and go with her in the next mission. And also...

Y/N: What is it?

Marie: I need to see what's under that helmet, I need to know if you can really be trusted and not an Octoling.

I just heared him sigh and he walked closer towards me and he was now very close to me making me blush lightly, he is so tall that my height is only up to the lowest part of his chest. A hissing sound and a click was made, he lowered his head and indicated me to remove his helmet. I did remove his helmet and I saw his H/L H/C hair and his pair of piercing E/C eyes which only worsen my blush.

Y/N: Now you see I'm no Octoling, how long will have to wait for Agent 4?

Marie: She will arrive shortly...which is in three...two...one...

Your POV

Then I heared a series of footsteps behind me and I turned to the direction of where that sound was coming from. I saw a Female Inkling with a short yellow tentacles for hair and she was wearing a jacket and is carrying a blaster.

As soon as she saw me, she immediately aimed her blaster towards me and I pulled out both of my pistols and aimed it back at her, she was about to shoot me with her blaster but Marie interfered.

Marie: Wait! Agent 4 lower your weapon! He's here to help.

Y/N: Agent 4, eh? *holsters both pistols* That's one way to greet someone...

Agent 4: The human? Why are you here?

Y/N: It's because I have nothing else better to do, I may be a human but I can't let another dominant species fall into extinction if the one that ended the last one is still here.

Marie and Agent 4 looked at me confused when I said that I wouldn't let another dominant race go extinct.

Marie: What do you mean "another dominant species"?

Y/N: It's nothing to worry about, trust me. Besides I also want to know more about the Inklings and Octolings and Octarians.

Marie: Well get ready, Agent Spartacus, you will have to retrieve a few Zapfishes before we could find the Great Zapfish. Spartacus wear this earpiece at all times. Now get going...

I took the earpiece and put it on and I looked at Marie who still had my helmet.

Y/N:............Can I have my helmet now, Marie?

Marie: Oh, my apologies.

She gave me the helmet and I put it back on and she guided me along with 4 to one of the kettles that I entered. I pressed a button on my armor's foreram and then holographic screen popped up in front of me showing me my weapons, I chose the Mistress and it started to materialize in my hands and both 4 and Marie looked at me confused when they saw me holding the weapon I have.

Y/N: What?

Marie: That weapon of yous...what is it?

Agent 4: It looks like a Splattershot...but it looks so much......different...

Y/N: This is an Assault Laser Rifle that I call Mistress, you know what lasers can do to Inklings, right?

Marie: Yes, we do.

Agent 4: The ink particles absorbs the heat of the laser causing the ink particles to break down into smaller particles.

Y/N: Exactly, so if I were to shoot you with this a couple of times, your body will turn into an Ink puddle and not only that, it will also be painful. Now come, we have a Great Zapfish and a Callie to find.

Marie guided me and 4 to a kettle that was in the middle of the outpost, this one looks different than the other kettles so I'm guessing that this is like a tunnel that leads to the final boss like a game. 4 stepped on the kettle first and turned into her squid form and passed through the grates, I then grabbed the sides of the grates and I lifted it up. I looked back at Marie and I just gave her an assuring nod and went inside the tunnel and put the grates back on and started swimming.
