Chapter 4

You stare at Jungkook, now able to put a name to the handsome face. You're not really sure what to say. Well, what to say aloud. It doesn't seem very appropriate to admit that he should've come to life sooner as your love life has certainly gone to shit. The only guy remotely interested in you is your neighbor, and he definitely isn't husband material.

Thankfully, Jungkook continues and fills the silence. "It's nice to be able to meet you in person." He runs a hand through his mid-length hair and smiles. "Your dreams certainly don't do you justice. You're breathtaking!"

Your insides churn at his compliment. You've only just met the guy, and yet he's sweeping you off your feet quicker than Namjoon has in the past few months since you've moved here.

It's also odd that your drawing knows where he came from and your name. Like somehow, the dream version of him transferred entirely when he came to life. It leaves an unsettling feeling in the pit of your stomach.

Does that mean everything that happened in your dreams with him...are real now? Your cheeks redden at the thought.

Just last night while you slept, you and him were in your apartment. It started with you both watching TV in the living room to him going to take a shower.

Somehow, you also ended up in the bathroom, ridding yourself of your clothes. When you were about to step in, you caught sight of his toned and muscular body in the clear shower curtain. Having one was both a blessing and a curse because the moment your gaze traveled back up his legs and toned abs, your eyes met his.

He said your name, stopping his movements as he cracked the curtain open. He said it like a question, as if asking you what you were doing in the bathroom while he was using it. You hadn't said anything in return. He saw you checking him out.

Then he stepped out of the shower, gently pulling you in before cornering you against the wall parallel to the shower head. He gazed down at you heatedly and came impossibly closer to you.

You placed a hand behind his neck. You were so close your noses brushed. Jungkook's breath hitched, and right when your lips met, you woke.

Dear God, have mercy on you. If you knew that drawing was going to come life, you wouldn't have done any of it in the first place. You press your palms to your face, covering your eyes.

"Hey, are you alright?" Jungkook inquires. His voice sounds like it comes closer to you with every word he says. You do nothing but stand there, mortified. You're such an idiot.

"Hey...," his voice trails off. You feel his hand graze your shoulder, and your body jolts.

Looking up, your eyes get caught in his concerned stare. His brows furrow in worry, and his lips tug downwards in a slight frown.

"I'm sorry if me being here bothers you. I...I can leave if you want me to." His stutter makes your heart lurch. His tone wavers in sadness, a complete 180° to the peppiness from minutes before when he complimented you.

You can't help but sigh. "It's not you, Kook."

The nickname rolls off your tongue without a thought. You don't know why you say it or where it comes from, just that, for some reason, your mouth is familiar with it. Like it's something you've always said, even though you know that you never have.

"It's just that," you falter, not knowing how to ask what you're about to, but for fuck's sake you need some answers. "If you're from my dreams, then how are you here? How are you real?"

He doesn't skip a beat when he responds, "I don't know how, and I think- like to think I'm real? I mean, you're able to touch me. "

"What about everything that happened between us? Is that, uh, real too?" You ask another question seeing as he seems willing to give you answers.

"In terms of us knowing, I believe so." Jungkook takes a step back, and strangely, you find yourself missing his warmth. "But for everyone else, maybe not. Dreams are kind of difficult to decipher when they're individualized. No one has the same dreams you do."

Oh, guess he's not as dumb as you thought. He sounds educated. In fact, it sounds like he's smarter than you and is better at handling the situation even though neither of you really understand what is going on.

That leaves you with one last question. "What are we supposed to do now?"

Jungkook shakes his head softly, obviously just as dumbfounded as you are. "Uh, I guess that's up to you."

He gives you a look, and you're reminded that he's your creation. You drew him to life. Does that mean you have to take care of him? You did not sign up to babysit anyone. Even if that said someone is a five foot, eleven inches tall man with a godly appearance you know you wouldn't mind staring at all day.

Like seriously? Who gave Jungkook the right to look this good? Ah, that's right... you did. Next time, you should draw a million bucks.

Right now, you're stuck between letting Jungkook stay with you or telling him to get lost. You aren't really stuck. You know you can't leave him out on the streets with only one pair of clothes and no money. Fuck, why did you have to draw him?

Though you don't want to, or so you tell yourself, you slump your shoulders and say, "Okay, you can stay here."
