Dear Reader,

It is with great gratitude that we welcome you with open arms into Lockheart's School for Fine Arts. You have been selected to attend our school because you fit all the qualities we look for in students. 

In this letter we have included all the things you need to know in order for you to have a productive four year stay. Please do read it carefully, for we are not responsible for any foul play that may occur if you don't, thank you.

I. Wear uniform at all times, this is to prevent any mistreatment to those who might be less fortunate than others. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a warning along with a call home. If this behavior continues, we will have no choice but to send you back to where you came from.

II. No garlic bread, as you might realize most of our students are allergic to garlic bread, and we do not want to be responsible for any accidents that might occur due to your negligence. Failure to comply with this rule will result in clean up duty for the whole school year.

III. No trying to start a rebellion, if you have any complaints about the quality of our school then put your suggestions in the suggestion box. Most students come to learn, not participate in dilly-dally. Failure to comply with this rule will result in solitary confinement for two days.

IV. Curfew is at 9 o'clock every night, this is to ensure all students are where they need to be. Failure to comply with this rule will result in an 1,000 paged essay and repainting of the whole school.

V. Use spells and potions when only needed, we have seen incidents of some students being turned into vile beings and don't won't the burden of having to explain to your parents how you ended up like that. Failure to comply with this rule will result in fifty laps around the whole school for the rest of your four years of attending.

As long as you comply with these simple rules, your year at Lockheart will go by in a jiffy. Until then, we're looking forward to seeing you in our classrooms and transforming you into a fit person for society.

...or can they?

When the Great War occurred, it transpired into a series of events that caused humans and vampires to grow mistrust in the other kind. I mean, not like they had any trust between each other to begin with, but this was just the icing on the cake. There were thousands- no, millions of deaths between both kinds, and they both wanted vengeance. A hunger to avenge their loved ones, to reek havoc, no matter who got in their way.

But thankfully, it didn't get that far. Thanks to some great guy named Diggory Barnes and his inability to stay out of things that had absolutely nothing to do with him, he successfully got a truce between vampires and humans. There was world peace, but at what cost?

Every thirty years or so, ten humans are selected by Diggory himself to attend Lockheart's School for Fine Arts, and to be the mate for one of these many vampire students. These humans have the traits that make them perfect to win the hearts of these stoic creatures. 

This year, though, something's different. These choices determine the future for ten vampires who have yet to get a mate. With Diggory's effortless matchmaking services, he'll get them together in no time.

But then tragedy hits.

Maybe Diggory should've retired thirty years ago.

MERLIN DAGON JUST WANTS A HOT VAMPIRE BOYFRIEND!

He's heard stories about these strange creatures, and his curiosity with them started ever since he could talk. Merlin wasn't the type to believe in soulmates, or anything to do with romance, but one of those many vampires had to be his soulmate, right?

Which explained why he was elated when he got the letter that he had been chosen to attend Lockheart's School for Fine Arts. Merlin had dreamed of this moment, and now it was finally a reality.

What he didn't anticipate, though, was to be a suspect (and possible target) in a murder.

At the crack of dawn, a piercing scream came from one of the dorms, and the next thing Merlin knows, a body is being dragged out of Lockheart, the words 'EYE OF THE LAMB' carved into his chest, and a wooden stake to the heart, a classic but unoriginal way to kill a vampire.

Maybe getting that hot vampire boyfriend wasn't worth it.

As the pieces of the puzzle slowly start coming together, Merlin and the other nine selected students- along with the ten vampires realize something bigger is at play. A darker force that is hellbent on making their lives a living hell. It's either they fight back, or become puppets in a seemingly endless game of death.

All while trying to win the hearts of the stoic vampires, because life was just so simple.

And this was just year one.

001. Respect everyone! Wattpad beef is the furthest thing from my mind right now, and if you have any negative energy whatsoever you will be blacklisted from applying to any of my future works. Treat people the way you want to be treated, simple as that.

02. Please, please have diversity when you make your characters. I don't want a alpha male who has no other personality traits other than being strong and masculine. That's boring, and I quite frankly know you guys are creative enough to not pull that bullshit. But not only diverse personalities, but diverse face claims as well. I do not want to see the same three people over and over, especially if they don't fit the vibe of the story.

03. Do not be upset if you don't get accepted- this goes for my mutual's and others I may not know. There's a side cast for a reason, and I'm not one of those authors that just feature them one or two times in the story, they will have a role just as much as the main cast. The first password is your favorite supernatural themed movie/show.

04. If you are accepted, actually interact with the story. I understand that we're all busy and have lives, but when you don't comment at all, that's a problem. Ghost readers are the bane of my existence so please don't apply if you don't plan on commenting at least once every chapter/update, it keeps my motivation up.

05. There's no deadline yet, but try to be patient- as soon as I get enough applications I'll close this!

06. Make sure that your forms are neat and easy for me to read. If you're applying with google docs, make sure to only use 1-2 fonts...because I am blind and can't read those fancy ass font you guys have. If you're using comments to apply, make sure to separate parts of your form so it's not a botched mess.

07. Have fun! This is meant to be a fun experience to apply with your silly characters and possibly make new connections with other users. The second password is your favorite color.
