-24-

Namjoon pushed open the door to their penthouse suite, with a smile on his face. He was waiting for this day to happen, Taehyung ruined his wedding and now he didn't want any more interruptions.

The room was spacious, with large windows framing a panoramic view of the city skyline.

He smiled, anticipating the quiet, intimate evening ahead.

"Y/N?" he called softly, expecting to see her relaxing on the bed or perhaps freshening up in the bathroom. When no response came, his brow furrowed slightly.

He walked over to the bathroom, knocking gently before peeking inside. It was empty, save for the faint scent of Y/N’s favorite perfume lingering in the air.

He checked the balcony next, hoping to find her there, lost in the view. But it too was empty.

A sense of unease began to settle in his chest. Just as he was about to call her, his phone vibrated in his pocket. He glanced at the screen and saw an unknown number. Answering it, he brought the phone to his ear.

"Hello?"

"Mr. Kim Namjoon?" a voice on the other end asked.

"Yes."

"This is Officer Park from the local police station. We have your wife, Y/N, here. She came in to bail out Kim Taehyung."

Namjoon's heart sank. Taehyung disrupted their wedding in a drunken rage, leading to Namjoon having him arrested and Y/n went to bail him out except for being with Namjoon on this important day? "I see," he managed to say, his voice tight. "Is she... alright?"

"She’s fine, sir. We just wanted to inform you of the situation."

Namjoon thanked the officer and ended the call, his mind racing.  Why had she gone to bail Taehyung out? The question gnawed at him as he tried to piece together what could have driven her to make such a decision.

He stood up, running a hand through his hair in frustration. He needed to understand, to hear it from her. Grabbing his keys and jacket, Namjoon left the penthouse, the door closing with a soft click behind him.

As he went downstairs to his car the driver ran to him. “If you are here then who dropped Y/n?”

“Sir, she did ask me, but I told her that you haven't ordered me and I can't drop her anywhere without your order. And then she left and took a taxi.” The driver told Namjoon.

“Why didn't you inform me? And how could you let her go alone? You are ridiculous!” He scolded the drived.

Y/n stood outside the small police station, nervously glancing at her watch. She had received the call from Taehyung an hour ago, his voice was shaky and filled with regret. Without hesitation, she had rushed to bail him out. After all, Namjoon was the one who sent him to jail in the first place.

The door creaked open, and Taehyung stepped out, his face was covered in bruises due to the fighting and beating from the security after he interrupted the wedding.

His eyes landed on her. Relief washed over his face, and for a moment, he allowed himself a small smile.

But as he approached, the weight of his guilt silenced any words he might have said. He stopped a few feet away, his gaze dropping to the ground.

"Taehyung," Y/n started softly, taking a  step forward. "Are you okay?"

He nodded, unable to meet her eyes. "Thank you... for coming," he mumbled, barely audible.

Before the awkward silence could stretch any further, Namjoon appeared from behind Y/n.

She looked at Namjoon and was scared for a few seconds as he came here without informing him and on their wedding night. “Mr. Kim, I had to come. Sorry, I didn't inform you.”

He placed a gentle hand on Y/n's shoulder, giving her a reassuring squeeze.

"We should go home," Namjoon said, his voice firm yet kind. She was a little relieved she was expecting him to be furious at her. But it's near impossible for him to be mad at Y/n.

Y/n nodded, turning to leave with Namjoon. As they walked away, Namjoon paused and glanced back at Taehyung.

His eyes hardened, and he leaned in close, his voice dropping to a low, menacing whisper. "I will deal with you later, Taehyung."

Taehyung watched as they walked away, Y/n casting a concerned look back at him. He wanted to call out to her, to explain, to apologize, but the words wouldn't come. Instead, he stood there, the consequences of his actions hanging heavily over him.

Y/n and Namjoon sat in the back seat of his luxurious car.

Namjoon stared out the window, his jaw clenched and his eyes distant. He looks mad, she can tell it, she knows him enough to tell if he is mad or not

Y/n hesitated for a moment before reaching out to hold his hand. "Mr.Kim," she said softly, "Are you mad at me?"

Namjoon turned to look at her, his expression softening.

"No, Y/n, I'm not mad at you," he said gently. "I'm mad at Taehyung. So mad that I want him to suffer for what he did." His voice held a restrained intensity, but he forced a smile. "But not at you. You could have told me if you wanted him out of jail. I would never say no to you."

Y/n smiled, a small but genuine smile, and nodded. "I'm sorry, Namjoon. I didn't know what to do when Taehyung called me. It was all so sudden." She paused, searching his eyes. "But please, be less harsh on Taehyung. He made a mistake,”

“He ruined our wedding day and night. Namjoon felt his blood boiling at her words, anger simmering beneath his calm exterior. She cares too much for Taehyung, he thought. But then she squeezed his hand and brought it to her lips, kissing it softly.

“Don't say that, I still think it was perfect. You are perfect, let's focus on our new Life.”, She said, her eyes filled with hope and love.

Namjoon's anger began to fade away, replaced by a deep sense of love and responsibility for the woman sitting beside him. He took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "You're right," he said, his voice steady. "Let's focus on us. Taehyung will have to deal with his own mistakes."

Y/n leaned her head on his shoulder, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. Namjoon wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close.  “You change your wedding dress, I didn't get to admire you properly. You looked so stunning.”

“I can wear the dress again for you.” She replied.

“But that would not be special.” He said.

“I thought I was more special than the wedding dress.” She said, which made Namjoon chuckled and kissed her forehead.

“Of course you are more special, my love.” He said. She cupped his face and kissed his lips.

Namjoon wrapped his arms around her waist, his one hand was on her waist while the other was on her leg, pulling her up and putting them on his lap as he continued to kiss her gently.

She put her head on his shoulder, until they reached the hotel again. Namjoon's mood was indeed off but Y/n knows how to handle him and his mood.

This is one of the things Namjoon adores. As no one else would be able to handle him better than Y/n.

__

Namjoon was already missing their little break, where he gets to spend with Y/n alone and make love with her as much time as wants. Now they were back to their usual routine.

Namjoon enjoys it too, but he was just feeling a little more drawn towards Y/n and was not ready for his usual routine.

Also he was not ready for her attention and focus to be on Yeon once again.

Yeon was sitting on his baby chair and Y/n was trying to make him eat some fruit. She looked at Namjoon who was still standing and wasn't leaving for work. She came closer to him and kissed his lips as she thought he was not leaving because of that. “Bye,”

“I don't want to go,” he said.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around His neck. “Then stay,”

“I have an important meeting.” He replied.

“You should go then, I will be here when you come back so don't worry.” He smiled and nodded his head before going to his work.

He kept that in mind, he was thinking that Y/n would be home when he returned he was thinking that Y/n would be waiting for him. But when he came home she wasn't there.

Where did she go? He looked for her in the whole house but she wasn't there.
__

Y/N was busy with Yeon, but moment was interrupted by the shrill ring of Namjoon's house phone. Confused, she placed Yeon gently in his crib and hurried to answer it.

"Hello?" she answered, her voice cautious.

~"Y/N...please...let me see him," slurred a familiar voice on the other end. It was Taehyung, clearly drunk.

Her heart sank. She had blocked his number for a reason, but he had found a way to reach her through Namjoon's house phone. "Taehyung, you can't keep doing this," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

'"Please, Y/N. I just want to see our son," Taehyung pleaded, his voice cracking with desperation.

Before she could respond, there was a rustling sound, and another voice came on the line.

~"Y/N, it's Jimin. I am sorry to disturb you, Taehyung is in the hospital. He's been drinking nonstop and he's really sick. He is talking non stop how he wants to meet you and his son,”

Y/N's heart raced. Despite everything, she couldn't ignore the gravity of the situation. "I'm coming," she said firmly, hanging up the phone.

Rushing to the hospital, her mind was a whirlwind of emotions. When she arrived, the sight of Taehyung broke her heart.

He lay in the hospital bed, pale and fragile. By the time he was asleep and was getting an IV.

Jimin looked at her, “He is out of hands, there is literally no one taking care of him and he is ruining himself.”

She approached the bed, taking his hand gently. "Taehyung, you need to get better. For Yeon...for yourself."

His grip tightened on her hand even in his sleep.

She stayed with him, later she decided to let Yeon meet him when Taehyung was sober and he woke up. Taehyung was surprised to see Y/n there when he woke up and almost thought it was a dream.

"Y/N..." Taehyung spoke, his voice weak but clear.

She approached the bed, her eyes never leaving his. "You're awake," she said softly, a hint of relief in her tone. Taehyung was staring at the little baby in her arms. Was it his son? "Do you want to hold him?"

Taehyung nodded, tears already forming in his eyes. Y/N gently placed Yeon in his arms, and the moment he felt the tiny weight of his son, he broke down. He couldn't stop the tears as he lifted Yeon closer, cradling him against his chest.

"I'm so sorry," Taehyung whispered, his voice trembling. He kissed Yeon's forehead, his tears falling onto the baby's soft skin. "I'm so sorry, little one."

Y/N watched, her heart aching at the sight. Taehyung's sobs echoed through the room, filled with remorse and longing. She stood there, torn between the pain of the past and the faint hope for the future.

"I wanted to be rich for you and our family," Taehyung said through his tears. "I wanted to give you a better life. Money wasn't the reason I—"

"I know, Taehyung," Y/N interrupted gently. She knows that, that is why she stayed when he first told her about Namjoon’s offer. "I didn't leave because of that. I left because I realized you didn't love me as much as I loved you. And because you disrespected me with your comments about my body. It broke my heart."

Taehyung's guilt was palpable. He looked up at her, his eyes filled with regret and sorrow. "I... I didn't know. I was so blind. I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm so, so sorry."

Y/N took a deep breath, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I just want you to get better, Taehyung. You wanted a different life and now you have it. Please don't ruin it.”

Taehyung nodded, unable to find the words. He looked at his son who he held for the first time. “Does Namjoon know you came here? He will not let me meet Yeon, and I was the one who agreed with the contact. He will not let me meet my son again.”

“I will talk to him,” she said.

“You think he will listen?” Taehyung asked.

She nodded her head. “He listens to everything I say.”
