Ava's pov

We sit on the beach for hours talking about our future together, how many children we would like, would we get married, would we stay in LA or move to New York. All the important things.

We agreed on everything especially the marriage and children aspect.

I've never felt safer with Chris, I told him about my ex and he looks at me with tears in his eyes.

"Chris? Are you ok?"

"I can't believe you had to go through that. I'm so sorry Ava. I never want you to be scared or feel like that ever again. I promise i'll take care of you and protect you no matter what".

I take his face in my hands, pressing my forehead against his and looking in his eyes.

"I love you so much" I kiss him softly but get interrupted by a soaking wet Dodger jumping on us.

Pulling away I smile at the pup.

"Lets go home".

Chris nods and puts Dodger on the leash, wrapping his arm around me we make our way home.

When we get home I make us some lunch, a Chicken salad and give the leftover Chicken to Dodger.

Chris had unpacked his luggage before we started eating.

Sitting on the couch we dig into our salad whilst watching Greys Anatomy, both eating in a comfortable silence before Chris begins to speak.

"So, whilst I was away. Seb texted and told me that he got married whilst away in Europe..."

My heart drops and I look at Chris with tears in my eyes.

"What?!"

"Didn't he text and tell you?"

"He never texted or even called to tell me her was engaged let alone getting married! What the fuck"

Chris gives you a sympathetic look at the thought of your once bestfriend going away and getting married without telling you.

I was hurt, really hurt that he couldn't have even called to tell me.

I guess Chris was telling me before the news broke on social media.

Only love can hurt like this.

I loved Seb, I did. I don't know what way I loved him. He was always there for me, damn he was my bestfriend. I always thought we could of been something more than just friends.

Guess we weren't even friends anymore.

I wipe away the tears streaming down my face and put what Chris said to the back of my head.

For the rest of the afternoon we lay lounging on the sofa watching Tv and occasionally falling asleep.

I wake up between Chris legs, my back against his chest and Dodger lay curled up on my legs with a blanket loosely over him. Chris was stroking my hair which always helped with my anxiety.

When I was with Chris and Dodger at home I was anxiety free, this was my happy place and nobody was here to intrude or interrupt us. I had got medication from the doctor which was helping my anxiety but every now and again i'd struggle when being in large crowds or when out alone.

"I'm gonna go for a shower and get something comfy on". You announce as you get up leaving Chris and Dodger on the couch.

I head into our on suit bathroom and turn on the shower before getting undressed. I walk into the steamy shower and soak my body under the burning hot water instantly relaxing my muscles.

Not even 5 minutes later I feel a pair of cold hands on my waist and wet lips against my neck. I smile as I turn around to be faced with what can only be described as a Greek God stood infront of me.

I was never going to get over how amazing Chris looked naked, his body was carved to perfection.

He grins as my eyes rake up his body, he pulls me closer before grabbing the back of my thighs and lifting me up. My arms and legs instantly wrap around him.

His lips find mine and his tongue fights mine for dominance in my mouth which he wins. I run my hands through his wet hair as he holds me against the wall cupping my ass.

He pulls away from the kiss placing his forehead on mine and looking into my Ocean Blue eyes.

"God you're so beautiful" he grins as he pushes a strand of my blonde hair behind my ear.

How did I ever get so lucky?

I blush at the compliment and begin my attack on his exposed neck, biting and sucking at the sweet spot.

"I don't think i'm ever going to get used to the size of you!" You giggle as you turn off the water and wrap a towel around you.

Both you and Chris get dried and into comfy clothes before heading into bed.

Chris wraps his arms around you pulling you closer to him, your back is against his chest and he runs his hands through your damp hair.

"I was wondering if you'd like to come to Disneyland tomorrow with me and my family?" Chris asks

"I love Disney! Of course i'll come with you guys!"

Chris places a kiss on your hair as he turn off the nightlight and you both fall asleep.
