(In the world you know, Y/n L/n was a boy found by Locke, father of Knuckles and Guardian of the Master Emerald at the time. Given an incredible power, Y/n joined the Freedom Fighters in their war efforts against the notorious Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik.)

Flashes of Y/n from Mobius-Prime is seen, showing his biggest feats with the Freedom Fighters. From fighting against Mammoth Mogul and Ixis Naugus to Eggman to Enerjak and Nazo to Scourge and Anarchy.

(Y/n L/n was a hero to many on Mobius-Prime, and much more to a few. However, he sacrificed himself to the greater good. To protect the future of his world.)

A large explosion of energy erupts through the sky, blowing back the clouds and shaking the ground. Sally drops to her knees as she sobs.

(Y/n L/n died a hero. But what if I told you... that this could have avoided? And all it took was the machine used to bring him to Mobius-Prime was to malfunction only slightly differently.)

Y/n groggily opened his eyes and looked around. He was in some kind of dark room with bars made of energy to his left. Above him was a dim light that barely illuminated the room he was in.

Y/n: "Where... where am I?"

He asks no one and he pushes himself to his feet. He looks around, realizing now that he was in a cell of sorts. There was a bed that didn't look comfortable at all, along with a toilet with a small sink in a corner.

Y/n: "What in the...?"

The teenage boy walks towards the cell bars made of crackling energy. Y/n goes to touch them, only to be zapped and he pulls his hand back. He takes a moment to shake the pain away before looking out between the bars and out. He spots dozens more cells, each one filled with one or two human-like animals. They all moped around and sobbed, seeming to be prisoners to whoever captured them.

Y/n: "What is this place?"

"Oh, good. You're awake now."

Y/n turns to see a rather round man in a red suit with a bushy mustache on his face. The goggles that covered his eyes glinted in the light of the cell bars.

Y/n: "Who-who are you?"

Dr. Eggman: "My name is Ivo Robotnik, but I am more referred to as Dr. Eggman now. And who might you be, boy?"

Y/n: "I-I'm..."

It took Y/n a moment since he suddenly found it difficult to remember his name. But he found his words and spoke.

"I'm Y/n. Y/n L/n."

Eggman hummed in interest. It felt he had heard that name before, but he shrugged it off for now.

Dr. Eggman: "Well then, Y/n, why did I find you outside of my city?"

Y/n: "City...?"

Dr. Eggman: "New Megaopolis. The capital of the Eggman Empire. My empire. How do you not know of this?"

Y/n kept quiet, because he didn't have an answer. He tried to remember anything about a 'New Megaopolis' or a man called 'Eggman', but he couldn't. He... couldn't remember anything.

Y/n: "I... don't know... Nothing is coming to me. I can't... remember."

Dr. Eggman: "Hm. An amnesiac. Sounds like a hedgehog I know."

Y/n: 'Hedgehog...?'

It took another moment before the mad scientist let out a huff and turned to leave.

Dr. Eggman: "We will speak another time. I must attend to my own business. I will see you soon, Y/n."

With that, Eggman walked off and left Y/n by himself.

Days pass after that. Robots had come and gone to give Y/n his food. While the human boy sat or lied in his cell, or even paced at times to relieve some energy, Y/n pondered on where he was. The name 'Robotnik' sounded familiar to him, and when Eggman mentioned that hedgehog it made the (H/C) haired boy curious. It... made him feel like he knew a hedgehog once.

No matter. It seemed like Y/n would be there a while in his cell, so he tried to make himself at home and as comfortable as possible. There were pieces of scrap metal lying around, and spare parts were sometimes thrown into his cell along with the other cells. Y/n used these to spare the time and cure his boredom, messing with these parts and metal pieces and building small machines. He didn't know why, or how, but he could make these machines, and he could do it well.

After a week has passed, Y/n was messing around with some kind of machine that could hover just above the ground. As he tinkered with it, the energy bars of his cell dropped and he turned to the new opening in his cell.

"The doctor wants to see you."

At the entrance of the cell was a black hedgehog with crimson red highlights, along with the same colored eyes. Golden rings were around his wrists and ankles, which also had gloves and shoes on his hands and feet.

Y/n: "Who are you?"

Black Hedgehog: "That is not of importance. Now come. The Doctor wants you in his laboratory."

Y/n hesitantly nods and stands to his feet to follow the hedgehog out of his cell. The other prisoners called out and made comments about Y/n getting let out, but the hedgehog told them all to 'shut your traps'.

No sooner did the hedgehog bring Y/n to the entrance of some laboratory. Shadow stopped outside and crossed his arms, turning to the human.

Black Hedgehog: "He's inside. I am needed elsewhere."

Y/n: "R-right. Thanks, Shadow."

The hedgehog nods and goes to walk off, only to stop in realization. He turns back to Y/n, only to see him disappear into Eggman's lab. He turns away and shakes his head, brushing it off as just hearing things.

Y/n walks inside the lab and sees Robotnik at a workbench. On top of that workbench was a robot the teenager has never seen before, and he becomes curious about it.

Dr. Eggman: "You've finally arrived, boy. Good. Come here."

Y/n gulps nervously but listens as he steps up towards Eggman. It takes a moment for him to speak as he was examining the robot, which strangely resembled a hornet of sorts. Or maybe a wasp. He can never tell the difference between the two.

Dr. Eggman: "I see that my Badnik has caught your interest."

Y/n jumps a bit as he's completely forgotten that Eggman was there.

Dr. Eggman: "Heheheh. You are rather jumpy. Why is that?"

Y/n: "Sorry. I forgot you were here."

Eggman huffs out a breath and presses a button on the inside of the bug-like robot. It activates and its wings sputter to life, but it doesn't take off into the air.

Dr. Eggman: "Take a look at this, Y/n. What do you see wrong with it?"

Y/n: "Well, it can't fly for starters."

Dr. Eggman laughs a bit.

"Can you see why?"

Y/n stays silent as he steps forward and examines the Badnik. He takes a look at its insides and examines its parts, wires, and everything else.

Y/n: "It looks like there isn't enough power being ran to its wings. Does it have anything else that needs power, other than its basic systems and whatnot?"

Dr. Eggman: "Its laser stinger."

Y/n glances back at the egg-shaped man, wondering why he asked lasers to robot. He decided to shrug it off and look back at the Badnik.

Y/n: "Oh, yeah. There's way too much power going go its... laser. If it tried to use it, it'd blow itself up."

Dr. Eggman: "Can you reroute its power?"

Y/n: "I can try..."

With that, the teenage boy reached into the robot and messed around with its wires and cables. When he was done, the Badnik suddenly took off into the air and buzzed around. Y/n smiled at his handiwork as the hatch on the Badnik closed by itself.

Dr. Eggman: "Very good, boy. I'm impressed."

Y/n: *still looking at flying Badnik* "Th-thanks."

Dr. Eggman: "Tell me, do you know of anyone by the name of Gerald Robotnik?"

Y/n perked up at this and turned to the man who had earlier imprisoned him.

Y/n: "Gerald... Robotnik?"

Y/n did indeed know him. Well, not exactly. The name rang some bells in the teenager's head, but he couldn't pinpoint what. He truly did have amnesia.

Y/n: "Maybe? I'm not sure..."

Dr. Eggman: "You seem familiar with machinery and robotics. He may have taught you. Which means you may have also known Shadow from then."

Y/n: *mumbling* "So that was his name..."

Dr. Eggman: "But that makes me curious as to how you arrived in front of my city."

Y/n: "Hm?"

Dr. Eggman: "Shadow the Hedgehog is old, even with his young appearance. He woke up in a stasis chamber where he had resided in for fifty years prior."

Y/n: "How...?"

Dr. Eggman: "I don't know exactly, but my theory is that you somehow traveled through time. Do you perhaps know what Mobians are?"

"Mobians...?"

Eggman grinned as he began to explain what Mobians were. They were animals that evolved and mutated after an alien race called the Xorda bombed the planet. Eggman himself had always wanted to make peace with these Mobians, but they always attacked him. That was why he adds weapons to his Badniks so that he may defend himself against the Mobians and their 'Freedom Fighters'.

(And, through lies and deceit, Eggman had tricked Y/n into believing that he was the good guy, and that the Freedom Fighters were the enemy.)

Dr. Eggman: "You have great potential, Y/n. Would you aid me in bringing peace to this world and my empire. It is what my grandfather and Maria would've wanted."

Y/n felt something flicker in the back of his mind, like an old light bulb trying to turn back on. He recognized the name, but something kept him from remembering.

Y/n: "Yeah. I'll help you, Doc."

Dr. Eggman grins and offers his hand to Y/n.

"Wonderful!"

Y/n takes the man's hand and shakes it.

"Welcome to the Eggman Empire."

(So instead of becoming one of Mobius' greatest heroes, he became one of its greatest threats.)

As the weeks passed, Y/n became one of the Eggman Empire's best assets. He helped create new Badniks and machines to help fight against Knothole and its 'Freedom Fighters', through he was never physically seen by the Mobians. He was incredibly genius for someone his age, even if he wasn't as smart as Eggman.

The boy was also given a new look to show who he was allied with. And it gave him a sense of identity and purpose.

Dr. Eggman: "Do you like it, Y/n? It was specially tailored just for you."

Y/n: "Like it? I love it! It's awesome."

It was a red jacket with golden yellow highlights with a black shirt and blue pants. He wore black fingerless gloves on his hands and black boots with red heels and two golden yellow bands, and even had a visor on his head with some kind of metal backpack on his back.

Dr. Eggman: "That's not even the best part. Press the buttons on your gloves."

Y/n grew curious and looked down at his gloved hands to see that there were buttons on them that blended in with the gloves. He presses some buttons on them and eight metal arms sprouted from the gear pack on his back. Y/n smiles at this and poses.

Y/n: "Ooooooooh, yeah. Now this is cool."

Shadow crossed his arms with a playful smirk.

Shadow: "No, you still look like a moron."

Y/n: "Hush it, hedgehog! I'm awesome, and you know it."

Shadow: "But not the coolest."

Y/n rolled his eyes with a chuckle, making Snively, who was nearby, scoff. Eggman only grinned as he held his hands behind his back.

"You're ready."

It was time for Mobius to be introduced to his new ally.

Knothole...

Fire everywhere. The raging flames covered the outer rims of Knothole as Badniks they've never seen attacked the town from all sides. They've even got close to the town center. They've been spread out to the point where some of the Freedom Fighters were by themselves. That included Sonic.

Sonic: "What the heck? These things just keeping coming!"

An explosion catches the Blue Blur's attention and he turned to see some more silver Badniks approaching him.

Sonic huffs a breath and brushes his thumb underneath his nose. He then speeds over to them and Spin Attacks them, but he simply bounced off of them. The hedgehog growled and Spin Attacked them again, doing this a few more times before they finally blow into pieces of metal and wires. But Sonic did get some injury from it. These new Badniks fought a lot harder than the one's he's used to.

Sonic: "Geez. Did Robuttnik really step up his game or something? They've been showing up a lot recently. These things are crazy."

"Not exactly, Blue!"

Sonic's ear twitches, but before he could react he was blasted away by a missile. He skips across the ground but catches himself, standing back up to see some sort of flying machine aiming red dots at him. Lasers and rockets prepare themselves as they whir and aim at Sonic.

Sonic: "Well... this is new."

The cockpit opens up and a smiling Y/n with his goggle-visors propped above his eyes.

Y/n: "Hello, Sonic! Pleasure to finally meet you in person."

Sonic: "Whoa! Does Eggman have a kid I didn't know about?"

Y/n: "Uh, no. My name is Y/n, a new ally to the Eggman Empire. And I'm here to give you a taste of what it'll be like if you don't keep to yourselves!"

Sonic: "Pfft! Eggman can't stop me. How can you?"

Y/n: "Simple. I've watched you through recordings and programmed my Badniks to know your every move. And their missiles have a guiding system programmed to track your very bio-code. So that way, no matter how fast you run, you can't--"

Sonic suddenly leaped into the air to attack, only for Y/n's reflexes to kick in. He presses a button on his glove and aims a finger at the hedgehog, making him freeze in place when red energy surrounds him.

Y/n: "You sly dog! You caught me monologing!"

Sonic tries to say something, but the energy field keeping him locked in the air kept him from doing so. All that came out was muffled, distorted grunts. Y/n smirks, his (E/C) eyes flashing once.

Y/n: "Sorry, did you want to say something?"

He gets rid of the red energy holding Sonic and the hedgehog goes to fall, only to be smacked down into the ground. He grunts upon impact and stands up, narrowing his eyes when he sees Shadow.

Sonic: "Hey, Faker."

Shadow: "Hedgehog."

Y/n: "Wait! Don't fight yet! I want to get serious first."

Sonic and Shadow look at Y/n with raised brows as he grabs his goggles-visors. He pulls them over his eyes and his cockpit closes over him, his engines whirring and at the ready.

Y/n: "Let's go!"

Almost immediately, Sonic ran at Y/n's ship and went for a Spin Attack. Y/n moves his ship out of the way with a spinning turn, avoiding Sonic and bringing out a laser cannon from his ship.

It charged up and fired a crimson energy blast at the hedgehog. He dodges it, only to be met with a punch from Shadow. He slides back and goes for a Spin Attack which Shadow ducks under, but Sonic spins around out of it and goes for a kick. Shadow blocks it.

Shadow pushes Sonic away and fires a Chaos Spear at him. Sonic dodges it and goes for a Spin Attack which knocks the Ultimate Lifeform back. Sonic gets sent flying back from an energy blast, fired by Y/n himself. Then he fires some rockets at the Fastest Thing Alive, making him get sent flying back again.

However, the blue hedgehog gets back up and charges at Y/n. Shadow gets in between them and knees Sonic in the face, but Sonic catches himself as he falls and does some sort of dance before spin-kicking Shadow in the face. Then he goes to Spin Attack Y/n's ship, only to bounce right off.

Sonic: "What the...?"

Y/n: "I'm not like the Good Doctor, Sonic. His 'Egg-Mobile' is small and very easy to destroy. Mine may be a bigger target, but you can't dent its slanted armor. You bounce off like a little pin ball."

Sonic: "Well, that's great."

The hedgehog says sarcastically and gets elbowed in the stomach by Shadow. He gets sent back and Y/n fires another laser blast right where the hedgehog would land, sending him into the air. Shadow teleports above the speedster and slams his fists into his back, sending him crashing into the ground.

Sonic grunts as he tries to push himself back up. However, Y/n fires another energy blast at him and sends him flying into a building. He grunts and groans from pain, but he does not get back up.

*BEEP*
*BEEP*
*BEEP*

Y/n looks down at his control console in his ship. Buttons, switches, and touchpads littered the cockpit. One of the touchpad screens were flashing a red light.

Y/n: "Damn. The Badniks are all gone. Shadow, we're retreating for now!"

Shadow huffs out a breath but obeys as he teleports away. Y/n sighs and looks back at the house Sonic crashed into.

Y/n: "As I said, Sonic. Try to make peace with Eggman and stop fighting the humans, or we'll fight back."

And with that, Y/n's ship went up higher into the air and flew off back to New Megaopolis.

(One decision changed Y/n's entire journey. He became the Freedom Fighters' enemy. But... maybe things aren't always as they seem.)

As more time passed, both Y/n and Shadow became more and more agitated. Eggman had promised the two to help with their amnesia in exchange for their help. But he had not come through on his deal, and as Y/n fought the Freedom Fighters more and more, he slowly began to realize that Eggman may have been lying to him.

Because of this, Y/n and Shadow begun conspiring against the mad doctor. They theorized that Eggman had Dr. Gerald Robotnik's diary, and a bit of snooping around made their theory true. So they stole it from Eggman and had brought to the Freedom Fighters' base of operations. Being integrated into cyberspace to see into the diary, Y/n and Shadow met with the digital versions of Maria and Gerald Robotnik. They told them of their past, and that Shadow was supposed to be the protector of life. Y/n was also the assistant of Gerald, someone who taught him that life was valuable and shouldn't be taken by anyone. And after a final word with Maria...

Maria: "You two will always have me--"

Y/n and Shadow: *crying* "--as long as you're in our hearts."

... the two turned against Eggman and disowned their alliances with the Eggman Empire.

After some time traveling together, Shadow and Y/n made it to a human city and met GUN, a government agency that helped protect humanity. They joined and formed Team Dark with Rouge the Bat, and later added a teammate who had gone rogue against Eggman. A Badnik named E-123 Omega. He had even formed a relationship with a girl named Hope Kintobor, who was only a year younger than himself.

(Forming new alliances and friendships, Y/n's entire future changed. And to show that he has truly turned a new leaf, the boy had changed his own looks.)

(Fighting alongside Team Dark, Y/n became one of the greatest GUN agents. He battled against enemies that would threaten humanity, and would even fight against Eggman as well. Then came the day he would fight for everything he's ever loved. But in the end, the world was reset.)

Y/n looks up from destroying some robots to see Super Sonic using Chaos Control on some kind of ball of energy. However, he was interupted by Eggman and the entire world was covered in blinding light.

(The world was reset thanks to the Super Genesis Wave. But that did not stop Team Dark from reuniting.)

In the GUN base, Team Dark was hanging out after a mission. Omega and Y/n did a little fist bump, and Y/n high-fived Shadow and Rouge. They were Team Dark, a family they would always fight for.

(They were a family, something Y/n had longed for and now has. But sometimes, family can't last forever.)

In the city, a giant meteor-like colony ship appeared in the sky. Dark aliens began to attack as GUN agents fought back. Team Dark was also dispatched to fight back the alien invaders.

(The Black Arms, a conquering alien race that had helped create Shadow fifty years ago. They had been pushed back once, and brought to near extinction by Shadow himself. But now they had returned... and had stolen the Ultimate Lifeform back.)

Team Dark, minus Shadow, and other GUN agents are seen running through the Black Arms colony ship. The military soldiers gunned down the aliens with Omega as Rouge used her own strengths to take them down, and Y/n was using his gear and gadgets to take them down.

After leaping over some fallen Black Arms alien bodies, Y/n lands in front of a group of three alien soliders. He presses a few buttons on his gloves and his goggle-visors turn red as his eight metal arms spring from his gadget pack.

He jumps forward and starts to throw off aliens from the catwalks in the ship, or even stabbed into them with his arms. He also used his other gadgets, such as his zero-point energy along with explosives and energized capture weapons, to dispose of the alien invaders.

"Look! It's Shadow!"

Y/n and the rest of Team Dark turned to see Shadow the Hedgehog walk out of a dark corridor. Most were relieved to see him, but Y/n, being the closest, saw that something was wrong. His composure was threatening, and his eyes were different. There was no shine in them at all.

Y/n: "Shadz?"

Almost immediately, dozens more Black Arms soldiers walked out after the Ultimate Lifeform. The GUN agents opened fire at the aliens who fight back, with Shadow looking directly at Y/n.

Y/n: "Shadow?"

Black Death appears in Shadow's mind.

Black Death: "Kill him first."

Shadow huffs and nods in understanding. He then rushes over to Y/n and knees him in the face. The human boy gets sent back as his goggle-visors fly from his face, broken in half and Y/n looks at them. He then pushes himself back to his feet and turns to his friend.

Y/n: "What are you...? Why did you just...?"

Shadow: "We are taking Earth for the Black Arms. And you are in our way."

Y/n: "Don't do this."

Shadow doesn't respond and he Spin Attacks Y/n back. He rolls across the catwalk before the hedgehog grabs him by his jacket collar, bringing him to his knees and headbutts the teenager. A crack is heard and Shadow punches his friend in the face twice before kicking him away.

The boy genius nearly falls into the abyss below the catwalks, only to be caught by his metal arms. They grab the edges of the catwalks and pulls him back up, showing Y/n's broken nose and his blood-filled mouth. He wipes off some blood and his metal arms place bring him back up to see Shadow.

Y/n: "I'm not fighting you, Shadow. You're my friend."

Shadow: "You're a pathetic lower lifeform. We have no need for your friendship."

Y/n: "You're not going to scare me away. And I'm not leaving you. Not this time."

Y/n states as he stands at the ready. It was obvious that Shadow was being mind controlled by the Black Arms, and Y/n blamed himself for it. If only he had insisted more on joining Shadow when they had split up, he may not have been taken by the enemy.

Shadow hesitated for a moment. His body was frozen as his mind raced, a piece of him telling him to stand down. But the Black Arms' Hive Mind was too strong in the end.

Shadow: "Then you will die."

Y/n narrowly dodges a kick from Shadow. He then brings some of his metal arms in front of him to block a Spin Attack, but the Ultimate Lifeform easily tears through them. Shadow then punches the GUN agent in the face and he gets sent to the ground. However, his reflexes kick in and he rolls out of the way to avoid a kick from Shadow's heel.

However, Y/n didn't have time to react when the Ultimate Lifeform elbows him in the stomach. His metal arms tried to block, but they were torn through by Shadow's brute strength. Then Shadow spun around and uppercutted the teenage spy, sending some blood and teeth flying from his mouth. The boy falls to his back, but Shadow grabbed him and positioned him stand on his knees.

The black hedgehog slams his fists into his friend's face, bruising it and making his face bloody. However, Rouge came in and dropkicked the hedgehog away. He rolls across the ground and the bat checks on her teammate.

Rouge: "Y/n! Are you okay?"

Y/n: "Y'know, I'm feeling rather dandy, actually." *coughs blood* "Wanna go for a picnic after this? Omega makes some damn good pies..."

Rouge: "No time for jokes, kid. Do you have any idea what's happening to Shadow?"

Y/n: "Mind control. The Black Arms' Hive Mind has him. I need to get him back."

Rouge: "No, you need to sit back and heal. We'll take it from here."

Y/n: "No... I need to--LOOK OUT!"

Y/n grabs the bat and rolls away to avoid a Chaos Spear. They look back to see Shadow standing back up with a sparking hand.

Shadow: "Stay out of my way."

Rouge: "Dammit, Shadow! You need to--"

Rouge stops herself when Y/n pushes himself off of her and shakily stands to his feet. He looks Shadow in the eye and then reaches for his gadget pack. He grabs it and brings it in front of him before tossing it aside.

Rouge: "Y/n, what are you--?"

Y/n: "I'm going... to get Shadow back... One way... or another."

Rouge: *standing up* "He's going to kill you."

Y/n: "He's gonna need to kill me first."

Rouge: "That's... what I just said."

Y/n: "Really? Sorry, my brains a little mushy right now. Now go!"

Rouge: "You're one crazy kid, y'know that?"

Y/n nods in exhaustion and Rouge takes off to help her other fellow GUN agents. Y/n turns back to Shadow who had been patiently waiting.

Y/n: "You need to stop this, Shadow. Whatever Black Death is doing, fight him."

Shadow: "We do not need your ramblings, boy."

Shadow says as he walks forward.

Y/n: "This isn't you. You need to fight it!"

Shadow: "Y-you don't know who I am."

Y/n: "Yes, I do! You're Shadow the Hedgehog. You are the union of ideals dark and benign, but ultimately built in the name of love!"

Shadow: "Shut up."

The hedgehog says as he continues his approach towards his friend.

Y/n: "You are the Ultimate Lifeform. You are the protector of Mobius! You're a hero!"

Shadow: "W-we said, shut up!"

Shadow yells as he quickens his pace. Tears form in his eyes as he picks up an end of one of Y/n's metal arms.

Y/n: "You are my friend and brother! My family! That is who you are!"

Shadow: "I said BE QUIET!"

Lunging at Y/n, Shadow stabs the end piece forward. Y/n lungs forward as well, tears in his own eyes as he goes for a final attempt to free Shadow. So as the Ultimate Lifeform stabs his friend in the chest, the Team Dark member wraps his arms around his friend and pulls him into a hug. The metal arm end piece digs deeper into Y/n's chest, going straight through him as blood leaks from his mouth. The other two members of Team Dark turn when they heard Shadow's yell, only to either gasp or to stay silent in shock when they see Shadow stabbing Y/n who was hugging him.

Omega: "Y/N!"

Rouge: "NOOO!"

Y/n shakes and trembles as neither he or Shadow moves from their spot. It takes a moment, but the human then utters out...

"Please... come back... Shadow."

The hedgehog's eyes go wide as they return to normal, their shine reappearing. He looks around, only to realize what he was doing.

Shadow: "Y/n...?"

The Ultimate Lifeform realizes what he was holding in his hands and gasps as he lets it go. It also makes Y/n drop to the ground with a gasp and grunt of pain, making Shadow quickly panic as leans over Y/n and props him back up.

Shadow: "Come on, come on! Get back up, Y/n. You're better than that."

Y/n: "Shadow...? You... there? Really there...?"

Shadow: "Yeah. Yeah, it's me. I'm back, but now you got to get back up."

Shadow said as he grabbed is old friend's hand. But Y/n doesn't hold it back, nor does he have the strength to even slightly wrap his fingers around Shadow's gloved hand.

Y/n: "You're back... You're okay... I'm so... haaappy... brother..."

Shadow: "Y/n?"

With a smiling face, the color fades from Y/n's eyes and his hand goes limp. His heart stops, and all the breath in his body leaves him. All Shadow now held in his arms was a corpse of the last remaining person he had from the Arc. And now he was gone.

Shadow: "No... please..."

Tears fell from the Ultimate Lifeform's eyes. He muttered inaudible words of disbelief before he let out a heart wrenching scream full of pain and sorrow. Then he trembled in anger as he stands to his feet, glaring at every single Black Arms soldiers in the area.

Shadow: "You... First you attack my home. Then you take away my free will."

He begins to walk forward as his hands reach for his Inhibitor Rings.

Shadow: "Then you make me attack Y/n... and kill my family."

He takes off the golden rings that held back his ultimate power.

*KLINK*
*KLINK*

Shadow: "You fear extinction?"

The rings fall to the ground at Shadow's feet, making energy spark around him.

"I'll give you something else to fear in your last, dying breaths."

(In his grief-filled rage, Shadow rampaged through the Black Arms colony ship. After killing them all, and his own 'brother' Eclipse the Darkling, the Ultimate Lifeform went straight to Black Death to finally bring the Black Arms to extinction.)

Black Death: "Sh-Shadow, wait! You can't--"

Shadow: "Shut it. I'M KILLING THE BLACK ARMS! HERE AND NOW!"

Black Death: "Shadow, no!"

"CHAOS BLAST!"

(Shadow singlehandedly defeated the Black Arms, just as before. But at the lost of the closest person he had that was family to him. In the end, Y/n died a hero, just as his prime self. Poetic, isn't it? I guess the saying is true. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. And Y/n died as one of the greatest heroes this world ever saw.)
