Five minutes passed after the timer rang. Daniel was still in his seat in the store. He was timing himself. When arriving back at a meeting spot that's been attacked by the enemy is risky. You have to be sneaky and careful to ensure your enemy you won't be showing up. So instead of a quick return, he's waiting 15 minutes after the timer rang to go back. "Almost time..." Dan mumbled impatiently watching the clock.

   
      Finally when the time came Dan hopped up and quickly said his thank you's and goodbyes to Wyatt. He then speed walked to his destination. He scanned the area until he was sure no one was there. He walked over to the swing set, and waited for Jessica to get there. His instincts were going wild when he heard footsteps. He had went from harmless teenager to the guy who's willing to fight with anything. He turned around to face his late friend. "Ah it's only you Jessica you scared me" Dan said with relief.

    Jessica had changed her clothes, and redid her hair. Of course Dan noticed that, "You changed? I won't ask why but uh why...?" He said acting as if he didn't understand why she did so. She wore much darker clothes then before, obviously she was sneaking past people.  But if Dan made it clear he knew a lot a sneaking around he could set off some red flags. "Yea I had to sneak past a few obstacles on the way here" she said embarrassed. There's one thing neither of them realized yet. If they didn't look like a couple earlier, they sure as hell do now. Both wearing dark clothes, meeting at a late hour, alone.....gives lots of people the wrong ideas.

     It was kinda awkward after what happened earlier that day. Daniel had been attacked by her friends, and she thought he would think horrible of her. Which is the opposite apparently. Dan decided to break the silence "So uh what do you wanna do now?" He said getting really really impatient from standing there. "Should we maybe go somewhere more secluded?" She recommended. Dan shook his head indicating he wasn't against the idea, because alone time with Jessica never hurt the guy.

   They thought about places where they wouldn't get much attention from civilians or potential people that could be Jessica's friends or Daniels haters. So in the end, they ended up in a abandoned house. What lead to this was Jessica saying how dark it is and how some people could be scared and stuff. Dan thought she was mocking or challenging him so he recommended they go somewhere spooky. Accepting this challenge they both agreed to get food, and find the nearest most creepy place. Which they ended up in the house.

   Sitting down in what Dan could could only think was the master bedroom, the placed the pizza box on the dirty mattress. "Don't you think bugs could crawl into the food from the bed though? Maybe move the night stand over here and we can sit on the bed and use the stand as a table?" Jessica said very demanding yet calm. "I guess you make a point, hold the pizza I'll get the rest." Dan said rolling up his sleeves. Wow he's really sweet for actually still being here even after what happened. Even now when I'm basically forcing him to go along with what I say. Sorry Dan it wasn't intentional. Jessica sigh quietly. Dan still heard her, which caused his right arm to twitch a bit.

  After moving everything into place. Dan and Jessica sat down and tried to enjoy the pizza. "You know what Jessica? This pizza is so good I almost forgot about us being here alone in a ghost house." Dan chuckled. Jessica's face was a bit pink. They were in fact alone, in a house, with no distractions, no people, just them, and the pizza of course. "Yea when you put it that way, we could do just about anything and no one would really know" she smiled. Dan don't Dan don't Dan don't Dan don't she means like they could trash the place more and no one would know type of thing. Dan wanted to slap himself for even considering that idea. Though it wasn't a bad thought, he still was in the dark for whether she likes him as a friend or more the that.

   They had small light conversations. Eventually the pizza got cold, and they were too full to finish. But even so nothing was preventing the tension in the room from rising.  It went from small fidgeting when it got quiet to shifting and moving slightly not sure which way was most comfortable to sit. "Uh so how's school," even tho Dan knew, he still asked because the topics were running low. She shrugged, "It's not bad it can get pretty chaotic and annoying when you can hang out with whoever you want. It's like I didn't ask to be popular I just ended up friending those people on accident." She looked away from him. It was obvious she was upset she couldn't hang out with him more.

  Dan understood what she meant by that. Especially since no one wants to be around him. Well there's one person, but uh we don't talk about Jayden. He was about to answer when his phone rang. "Weird, I don't recall ever getting phone calls this late." Especially since she's always out this late, taking pictures and stuff. "Uh I'm sorry let me take this real quick" he said walking to the far corner of the room. He answered the call and the familiar voice of his dad answered.

   "Hey Danny I'm pretty sure you were aware I was following you and that girl from earlier."Rylan said with a cheerful voice. Dan flinched slightly from shock. "Uh yea why, something happen?" He said playing it off pretty smoothly. He didn't even know they were being followed. His dad was truly a dangerous guy. "Well I was letting you know you've been in there for a while..." he trailed off. Dan knew what he trying to get at. "No nothing like that" he said only because she was obviously eavesdropping. He wanted to ask so many questions right now. Like why he called from a blocked number when he was bright a new phone before his release. Or why he was following Dan. Or why he was still there.

   "Well I'm glad nothing like that is happening, you are still a child after all!" Dan loves his dad he really does. But that really made him want Rylan behind bars again. "Well now that we have that settled then, I'm gonna go, I'm kinda busy" Dan said obviously trying to get the point to his dad. "Fine fine, I'll leave....but no funny business" Rylan said with a laugh. Dan chuckled for the lame thought and hung up. Jessica seeing that he hung up, sighed because she really didn't like how random the call was. "Sorry that was my dad" Dan apologized. Jessica waved it off even if she wanted to say how she wanted to keep talking and every distraction would ruin that.

    After a while, it was past midnight and Jessica just now getting the memo she needs to get home before it gets obvious she isn't there. "Bye Daniel. I really enjoyed talking  and hanging out with you...maybe we could do this again soon?" She said while gathering her things. "Yeah sure I'm down. I wouldn't mind the company considering you know" Dan was referring to everyone avoiding him. She gave him a look of sympathy, and hugged him. Dan was shocked like, he didn't know what to do. He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a nice hug too. Every color of the pink palette was slowing rising and lowering on her face. They slowly let go of one another and after Jessica left, Dan had already decided what happened was good yea, but he still needed at least one picture to keep his streak going.

   He took a quick route to her backyard, peeking from the side of the fence he wasn't sure if it was just him but her parents were wide awake a furious. Jessica looked as if she only had gotten her jacket off before she was being lectured. Dan understood as to why, it is her first time being out passed curfew, which he picked up a few times when she went out with friends. Not being able to hear the exact words, he wasn't half bad at reading lips and body language. He could only assume her mom yelled something like 'go to your room' or 'your grounded'. She gave them a sad look, and made way to her room.

  Dan basically going incognito and with very concerning speed, proceeded to make it to her room window, at the usual very unnoticeable spots. She started to get undress and pulling out pajamas for a bath. Daniel doesn't take nude photos, purely since his mom loves going through all the photos he takes. So he patiently waited, when his phone vibrated. Jessica had texted him. *My parents just scolded me for being home late* Dan opened the messages. *really? My mom just asked if I had fun or not, so I'm gonna finish showering and go to bed.* he sent the message. *How funny, I'm taking a bath as we speak*

 
  "I know that" Dan mumbled. He started typing then stopped, erased what he said, and started typing again, then stopped when she sent a message. *Well it's pretty late and I don't wanna bother you while you clean up* "Funny." Dan mumbled again. He didn't laugh. *Yea I guess it is pretty late, sleep well goodnight* he said. "Goodnight Dan I really hope we can hang out again* Dan smiled. He felt bad for keeping the convo short. But he has to do what he has to do. So not soon after, Jessica came back in here room to get dressed. She looked a bit disappointed, but got dressed, combed her hair a little bit, picked out what would've been later that days clothes, and later down and fell asleep.

   Dan got what he needed in the photos and went home. It was last 1 am at this point. And he was starting to get a little hungry. So when he got home, he heated up some of the pizza, actually took a shower, and went to bed. Not before placing the photos in time order on his desk before then.

   Meanwhile, Rylan was not yet home. Anyone would think he would be after the phone call. He didn't follow Dan anymore. But yet went after one of Jessica's friends. He didn't kill anyone, just mugged him, and verbally tortured him. Rylan kicked mason to the ground, where he bent over holding his stomach. "Never walk the streets alone kid, I don't wanna see you around here anymore got it?" Mason was crying. But he shook his head, gathered his strength, and ran away. That's when Rylan came home. Daniel and Kasha were both sound asleep by then. He decided to sleep on the couch and shower early that morning.

  Mason also got home around that time. His parents were sleeping like the most people. He couldn't explain to them what just happened or else he'd be screwed. He was forced into submission and had no choice but to let it happen. He felt angry with himself. So Mason got his phone out, texted his friends, and canceled any plans for that day. He showered and got the dirt out of his hair. He went to sleep soon after, regretting he didn't stand up for himself to that guy. "Who was that guy..." he said to himself. He drifted to sleep, he won't forget to bring something to protect himself next him he's out late. He fell asleep thinking of ways he could get his stuff replaced.

   Now while these few people had different nights going on, there's one guy who's already asleep yes but made plans for the next day that Daniel isn't gonna like. DJ as they call him, plans on trying to get close to Jessica and ask her out before the end of the month. He doesn't know what he has in store for him. But he's going into a dangerous field blind and unprotected.

   This chapter would be the end of the starting adventures for Daniel and Jessica. Now comes the some what serious stuff. And things are gonna get messy.
