One week timeskip:

"N/n...N/N!" You were awakened by your nickname being called out by not only Misa, but L and Light as well.

"What is it?" You ask groggily, with a yawn.

"It's already been a week since you were sent to the party. You've been acting strange since... what's going on?" Light asked with concern.

"N/n, what is going on?" L asked, touching the eye bags underneath your eyes.

Misa shoved L away roughly while she walked past Light. Misa then looks at you seriously "N/n! Are you okay?"

They assumed you were traumatized by the incident at the party and didn't want to socialize with anybody. In reality, you were staying up all night using your phone.

"I'm doing good, I just haven't been sleeping well... aha" you reply, trying to avoid all of the attention on you

Watari suddenly called L on the phone.

"Yes?" L answered Watari's call.

"Yotsuba has started their meeting," Watari informs L.

They had been so focused on you that they forgot about the meeting they had been planning on watching. 

After watching the anime and researching the part you were in, you were well aware of the current situation.

I'm glad the basic plot isn't that off.

You stood up and prepared to watch the meeting with the group until you were stopped by L.

"N/n, you should get some rest. You are starting to have eye bags," L said to you with a slightly concerned expression.

You gave him a confused look before looking directly under his eyes, staring at his eyebags.

"So only you are able to pull it off?" You asked, pulling your eyes open.

"Ryuzaki is right, you need to get some rest," Light said, pushing away L.

You give both of them a blank expression before waving them off.

"Did you guys forget? There is still a meeting you guys need to watch. I guess I'll stay here and rest," You say that while you stretch your back.

"N/n! I haven't slept with you in a while. Can I sleep with you for a bit?" Misa asked shyly.

You've noticed the drastic change in Misa. 

After looking at the anime and the shy girl in front of you, you could tell her attitude changed. You were worried about Rem's involvement, but you believed she wouldn't do anything rash.

"Sure," you nod, while you take a break from your phone, deciding not to use it. You place it down, inside of your pillow case.

You look up and see the familiar screen in front of you, with a task prepared. You were tired and had already mentally prepared yourself to sleep, but the screen rudely interrupted that.

You quickly shut your eyes closed while laying down face first on the pillow, ignoring the task completely.

You felt a slight vibration from under the pillow. You ignored it the first few times, but it wasn't stopping. You grab your phone out of the pillow and open it angrily.

I know you saw the task. Read it.

You immediately look up and read the task. You stare at the task that the messenger was so adamant on making you see.

Congratulations on successfully completing your first task! You will now be assigned another task

You stare at the screen in front of you before sending a message.

You stare at the phone before going to change the name of the contact.

L walked into the room while you were sitting on the couch. Misa was next to you, reading a magazine. You were completely covered in a blanket, hiding your phone.

"Light? Ryuzaki? What are you doing here?" Misa asked, surprised.

"Misa Amane, tell me, do you love Light from the bottom of your heart?" L asked Misa, getting close to her face.

I don't even know who to feel jealous of right now.

"Huh? Uh yeah, I do," Misa replied hesitantly.

"But you also worship Kira, don't you?" L questioned

"Well, yeah!" Misa said, looking at L in confusion.

"So... if you had to choose between Light and Kira, who would you pick?" L asked Misa

Misa looks over at you, trying to see your reaction.

You nod as a sign to tell her to speak her mind. It was apparent that she wasn't as enthusiastic and eager to be with Light as she was in the anime, which made you ecstatic.

It still needed work; an obsession couldn't be dealt with simply by replacing whatever was being obsessed with, right?

"I'm grateful to Kira, but I like Light" Misa replied half-heartedly.

"You're precious Light is planning to catch Kira," L reminded Misa.

"Well, yeah!" Misa said, as if the statement L made was idiotic.

"He says he wants to catch Kira. What will you do?" L proceeded to ask Misa

"If that's what Light wants, it doesn't involve me! You guys are just doing your job. " Misa huffed out, moving closer to you.

L interrupted this short interaction.

"I see... so if you were given the opportunity to be part of this job, along with Light, would you?" L asked, gauging Misa's reaction.

"Sure! Will N/n be there?" Misa asked you, while you shrugged

"I'm planning to have Coil tell Yotsuba that while investigating me, Misa Amane might know who I am. He'll also say that L brought her in for questioning to see if she was the second Kira," L stated

"They might hurt you," Light finally added, after not speaking up.

"I promise they won't get anything out of me... even if they torture me!" Misa said proudly.

"I can attest to that," L mumbled.

You smile at L, while everyone else ignores his silly comment.

"But Kira can control his victims' actions before death. He might manipulate Misa into revealing what she knows, then kill her to keep her silent, " Light informed L.

"I don't like the sound of that," Misa said anxiously.

"Light, you forget that if we win against Kira, Misa won't die," L said.

"Also, as long as we're hand in hand, you and I share the same fate. If I die, so do you," L added while putting his handcuffed hand up

I wouldn't count on that.

"Either we both die and lose to Kira, or we work together to capture Kira. Which is it?" L asked Misa

"We catch Kira! I wouldn't dream about living in a world without Light" Misa said.

"Yes, that would be dark," L finally said his well-known line.

You looked at L and stifled a laugh.

We're running out of time, so I came to you because I know you adore Light. L turned over to Misa.

"Do you really mean it?" Misa said.

"Oh no! I missed understanding you the whole time. I even called you a pervert, but you actually do understand how I feel, don't you?" Misa admitted guiltily to L.

"Yes, Misa is indisputably the most perfect woman for Light." L had a faint smile while looking over at you.

" You're such a sweetie. Thank you, Ryuzaki!" Misa went over and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Punching the air right now," you say solemnly.

"I don't know why I did that, I wasn't able to stop. I'm so sorry," Misa said apologetically to L and you.

That's new... did the system force her to re-create that scene?

"Ahem, we're all friends now, right?" Misa said, trying to smooth over the awkward atmosphere.

"I've made another friend," L mumbled, looking over at the three of you.

"Yeah! Any friend of my best friend or boyfriend is a friend of mine," Misa said.

You were once again taken by surprise by the script change, but you got used to it.

"I just got friendzoned, dhmu, tired of the fakes 😔" You said it instinctively.

"What are you talking about?" Light gave you a concerned look.

Misa grabs everyone's hands.

"Let's all be friends together!" Misa says while everyone goes in a circle

You smile at Misa.

"yay fun..." L said, trying to sound enthusiastic.

"And of course, I'd never think of betraying my friends. With all of us, let's arrest Kira!" Misa announced.

"Unfortunately, Light is taking a different approach and will be working with the others. I'm afraid it will just be you and I, as well as N/n, if she wants to join. " L said

"N/n, who will you work with?" Light nudged your shoulder to ask you

You sigh

"If Light agrees to join the group with Misa and L then I will also join. However, if Light chooses to work the police, I will too." You spoke

The reason you said this was because you knew Light was going to work with the whole group, so you didn't mind lying about who you would work with.

"Then I'll work with N/n by myself," Light said, surprising everyone.

"You weren't supposed to do that," you told Light.

"Why? Are you taking back what you said? " Light asked.

You told Light straight up, "That's what a manipulator would say."

"Besides, I said I'd work with the whole police force, not just you. This is good for me because then I can see Matusda more often. Thanks, Light!" You purposely provoked him, wishing to make him retract his announcement of working by himself and join you, L, and Misa.

"On second thought, I'll stay here." Light sighed in defeat.

As you were looking at Light, a familiar screen popped up.

New task: Receive a kiss on the cheek by one member in the room

Reward: +10 affection

You go back underneath the blanket that was covering you and bring out your phone to message the new number.

Misa began to get flustered while you stayed seated. It appeared as if Light was going to interrupt, so you stood up and made your way closer to Misa.

You look at Misa, trying to see her reaction. As you walk closer, Misa closes her eyes and gives you a small peck on the cheek.

A smile appears on your face, while you notice Misa's romantic affection turns from a 15% —> 25%
