"Light!" Misa yelled, jumping on top of Light.

"I'm sorry! I just couldn't wait for 2 weeks like you said. I was actually just on my way to your house when I spotted you,"Misa said excitedly.

Both of them were on the floor, with Misa on top of Light.

'This is the first time in my life I've been provoked to hit a woman' Light thought

"Sorry, I just wanted to see you so badly!" Misa apologized

Light was about to respond but they heard footsteps coming by but suddenly stopped.

"Oh my, is this a bad time?" You asked with a teasing tone.

Light pushed Misa off, leaving Misa on the floor. You scrunch up your eyebrows in displeasure, walking over to Misa

You quickly grab Misa's hand, helping her up, whether she liked it or not.

Misa used her shinigami eyes to see who you were but was confused when she was unable to see your name.

"Who are you?" Misa asked suspiciously.

"Woah, you really can't see my name with your shinigami eyes?" You asked, lowering your voice to avoid suspicion.

Misa let out an audible gasp.

"Who are you? How do you know about my eyes?" Misa sounded more forceful.

"Let's go inside and talk about this." Light sighed.

"No I-" Misa was about to protest, but Light grabbed her hand.

Light and Misa entered the house first, while you were a bit behind.

"Sorry to drop by like this," Misa apologized to Sayu.

Sayu glanced at Misa, still not over the fact that Light cheated on N/n

"Hey...?" You greet Sayu.

"N/n!" Sayu ran over in front of you and greeted you with a smile.

"Are you okay? I didn't expect my brother would be the type to cheat. " Sayu pouted while looking at you with pity.

It seems like Light really did say something about me being his girlfriend

You hid a smile from appearing on your face. This was a perfect opportunity to start something.

You wipe away a fake tear, surprising everyone.

"It's okay... we just weren't meant to be. Who am I to stop love." you say meaningfully.

You look over at Misa.

"Misa... I don't blame you. I won't interfere with you both. I'm rooting for both of you, "you say with a smile, patting Misa on the head.

As if, I'll definitely save Misa, while preventing her death.

"Wow N/n, that's so nice of you." Sayu praised you for your maturity.

"By the way, how come I didn't know we were dating?" You inquired of a stunned Light.

"I-l" Light was about to speak.

Whore behavior

"That's because we didn't," you whispered for Misa to hear.

"He's all yours. Good luck, you'll need it," you wink at Misa, holding her hand.

Misa looked surprised at you.

"T-Thank you!" Misa said, grabbing your other hand excitedly.

"The second I see Light mistreat you. I'll interfere," you say, hugging Misa

Rem should be on my side after seeing how concerned I am about Misa.

"Let's talk upstairs," you smile.

"Bye Sayu! I'll talk to you later! " You wave to Sayu before going upstairs, leaving a stunned Light

You all enter the room, and Light locks his door.

"Where's Rem? Can I see her? " You asked Misa eagerly.

"You know Rem?" Misa asked, shocked, but the previous hostility in her voice was gone.

"Sorta", you mumble.

"What exactly is your plan, N/n?" Light inquired suspiciously.

"I was talking to Misa." You scoff.

"Misa, Darling, can I talk to Rem? If Rem wants to talk to me then she can, if not she doesn't have to, "you ask Misa gently.

Misa turns her head over to Light, asking for permission.

You grab Misa's chin to face you.

I've gained so much confidence, maybe since I know that this isn't the real world...

"Misa, you have your own mind. You can like Light but depend on yourself. Besides, Rem also has a say in this." you say to Misa.

"Besides, Light wouldn't mind, right Light?" You ask Light, staring at him intensely, giving him shivers.

"Fine" Light agrees.

Light couldn't believe he was really getting jealous over a girl. He didn't think you had feelings for Misa, but you seemed to be trying to get close to her.

Light grabs Misa's death note and has you touch it.

"What are your intentions with Misa?" Rem asked immediately.

"Whatever Misa wants", you smile, already expecting this.

"Also, I might as well reveal my identity to you two." you smile

"I know the future and the past of everyone here, so I know how everyone's life ends.I'd like to talk to you one-on-one a bit later. Don't ask yet"you inform her.

Surprisingly, Misa doesn't question your identity.

Rem looks at you suspiciously, but when you stare at her you keep glancing at Misa, insinuating this has something to do with her. She begrudgingly agrees.

"Speaking of Rem... Rem, you are Misa's ally, right?" Light askes

"Yes, I've seen her many times. Certain events made me develop feelings for her," Rem said.

"Feeling? But you're a shinigami. " Ryuk was confused.

"Don't say that, you'll learn that feeling soon," you wink at Ryuk, making a heart shape with your hands.

Ryuk looks at you with a blank expression.

Rem knew Light's intentions when he said, "You don't like what I said before when I said I'd kill you if you kill Misa."

"If Misa is happy, then you'd be happy?" Light asked.

"I suppose you can say that, I definitely don't want to see her suffer, " Rem says.

"As you know, Misa loves me." Light grabs onto Misa

"Ah, Light!" Misa said, startled.

"Misa..." Light gently said.

"Yes?"

"If I was happy, would that make you happy too?" Light asked.

"...Ask Rem to kill L, Rem said your happiness was important. What would happen if L caught one of us? That means our happiness would be ruined." Light said to Misa, convincing her to ask Rem to do his bidding.

Light continues, "If you agree to kill him, that will only make me love Misa even more. Plus I'd feel grateful to you. More importantly, the two of us will be happy together." Light puts an arm around Misa, subtly sending a look your way.

What is he looking at me for? Is it to see if I'm jealous?

"Rem, I want Light to love me!" Misa helplessly told Rem.

"I know Light and I can be happy together. That's all I've ever wanted." Misa looks at Rem pleadingly.

Rem looks over at you for your input, but you shrug.

Rem won't be killing L as long as I'm here.

Light looked relieved because he thought you would interfere. Turns out you didn't care about L that much if you weren't going to save him. This thought alone made him feel very happy.

Rem didn't respond to Light's request.

"That's a shame," Light sighed.

"Fine as you wish, Light Yagami, but I do not like you. This will not kill me even if I kill L and end up lengthening your life span. L is just another human to me" Rem glared at Light.

"Yay! Oh Rem, thank you so much! I knew I could count on you, "Misa said excitedly.

'L would die... that's all it took,' Light thought.

Back with L:

"Mr Yagami, if I die within the next few days, your son is Kira," L said while wiggling his toes.

"Ryuzaki! You said he was almost clear. Now this? Honestly, how much do you suspect my son? "Mr. Yagami asked angrily.

"The truth is... I don't even know what to think. I've never been in a situation like this before. If Kira and the second Kira are working together right now, then things aren't looking good for me. I'm also not thinking as clearly as I normally do, so I might be wrong. " L explained while eating some candy.

"Maybe I still consider him a suspect because we don't have anyone else." L stated unemotionally.

"But still, If I happen to be killed soon, please assume your son is Kira, "L told Mr. Yagami seriously

After the conversation, Mr. Yagami didn't know what to think. He knew his son wasn't Kira. Why wouldn't L believe him? Could it be because Light was hanging out with N/n and that implicated him?

The next day at the university:

L was sitting on a bench. You noticed him while you did what you usually did when there was no class, aimlessly walk around.

"Hey! What are you doing here? I didn't expect you to be here, "you greeted L

"Good evening, N/n" L greeted you back.

Light saw the both of you talking together. He quickly approached both of you.

"Is it okay for you to be here? Didn't you say you were afraid to appear in public? " Light asked L with  fake concern in his voice.

"I did, but then I realized as long as you're not Kira, I should be safe," L said without worry.

"The fact is, you both are the only ones on the outside that know me as L."

"In the unlikely event I die in the next few days, I've instructed your father and everyone at the task headquarters to assume you're Kira and that N/n is working with you." L spoke calmly.

You looked at L with confusion written all over your face.

"Me? Working with Kira? Have you gone mad? " You asked with your voice going up.

"Yes, since you and Light have been very close lately." L said, not able to hide the slight jealousy in his voice.

"Besides you both said you missed me at school," L said with a smile.

When did I say that?

"You're right; intelligent conversation is difficult to come by without you."Light laughed

Why are we skipping over what L just said?

You look at Light with confusion as well.

"You both are attacking me right now. What do you mean, intelligent conversation is hard to come by? I've been dumbing down my conversations for you to understand." You tell Light, annoyed by his blatant insult,
