As much as I want to stay with Misa, I need my own room. Without cameras

You walk over to the main room. You still feel burned out from yesterday. You couldn't find your cat, so you were also concerned about that.

Light and L were sitting in the two seats in front of the screen. They both looked up at you. They still didn't have their handcuffs on.

"Where's c/n?" You asked, skipping the greeting.

"She's in my room," Light replied.

"I'd like her back, please," you tell Light.

Light stands up and gestures for you to follow him. L looks up at both of you before returning his attention to Kira's research.

Both of you remained silent on the way over to his room. Neither of you attempted to make any small talk.

As you approached the room, Light took the initiative to stop walking in front of his door.

You waited for him to open the door, but he didn't make a move.

"Uhm, the door?" You ask with a confused look.

"Why did you only tell Ryuzaki your name?" Light asked seriously. You could tell he seemed hurt based on his facial expression.

We already went over this??

"Cuz he asked" You responded impatiently, not paying attention to how this might hurt his feelings. 

You didn't like how he was using your cat as leverage over you.

After you pushed your way through Light to get into his room, he finally took the hint and opened his door. The cat was waiting for you, sitting down in front of the door.

You smile and pick up c/n. You then leave the room without saying another word. Light stood there, just watching you.

You suddenly pause, not looking back. "Thanks for taking care of c/n," you say before continuing the walk.

I need a plan for when Sayu gets kidnapped..

After you finished getting ready, you left to go find L.

"Ryuzaki, I'd like my own room," you announced. 

Although you enjoyed staying with Misa, if you wanted to use your phone in secret and have your own privacy, you needed to move to another room.

L looked like he was slightly taken aback, but quickly let a small smile slip.

"Well, we need to prepare a new room for you. You need to stay with me for the time being," L said.

"What about Light? Don't you two share a room?" You asked.

L paused

Judging from L's reaction, it seems like he completely forgot about Light.

"Also, I'd like a room without cameras," you directly told L.

"I can't do that. We must keep watch on everyone from the investigation," L said seriously.

"As if you just want to keep watch on me." You scoffed

"I would like to use one of the favors you owe me. You said it can be anything, so I would like it to be this bizarre request" You hum

L seemed to be caught in an internal struggle.

'Although I do owe her a favor... this might be too much. What could possibly be the reason for her requesting her own privacy? ' L thought to himself

After a few minutes of L thinking to himself and you standing awkwardly, he finally speaks up

"Okay, I'll prepare a room for you right away," L said, averting his gaze.

He shouldn't be this nervous if he's telling the truth. 

"Thanks" You nod, walking out of the room.

After your conversation, you call Matsuda over.

"Hey Matsuda! I'm ready. Let's go" you say,

Matsuda wore a tuxedo. He seemed to have prepared hard for this.

Awe, that's so cute.

Matsuda looked a little embarrassed. He noticed the clothes he wore were not for whatever you had planned.

"I'll go change," he said quickly, trying to walk away, but you stopped him.

"You look cute. It's fine. We should go" you say, not minding his outfit at all.

He nods before following you out the door.

After you arrive at the Yagami household, you meet with Sayu.

"Hey Sayu!" You greet Sayu with a smile.

"N/n!" Sayu runs over and hugs you.

"Who's that?" Sayu asked, looking behind you.

"This is my friend, Matsuda." You smile.

"Hi," Matsuda greets Sayu.

"Sayu, we need to hang out a lot more." You smile while holding onto her arm.

Sayu looks up with a smile and nods.

I need Sayu to get used to my company... so I can replace her during the kidnapping event... when Mello comes..

After your small hangout with Sayu, you both mainly got to know more about each other. She invited you over to come whenever you liked, to which you agreed.

You invited Matsuda out to eat, and you arrived at a café.

"This is nice. Are you enjoying yourself?" You ask while taking a bite out of what you ordered.

"Why did you call me out here?" Matsuda asked seriously

"Why can't I want to hang out with my favorite co-worker?" You asked.

Matsuda was about to respond when L and Light came in with the handcuffs now attached.

"N/n? You're here? What a surprise. " With a semi-shocked expression, Light said.

This-

"Oh, uhm." Matsuda seemed a bit flustered. "I'll leave," Matsuda said, standing up and rushing out the door.

"No, wait! Matsuda!" You call out to Matsuda.

"Ryuzaki, Light, it seems you don't realize me and Matsuda were in the middle of a date." You turn your head over to face both of them.

"A date" Both Light and L seemed shocked.

"I believe I told you that during this investigation, there would not be any romantic relationships," L said.

"Unless it's you, right?" You scoff.

I mean 😍

L remains silent. While Light looks over at L with a 'shut up' look,

"Anyway, what are you both doing here? Don't tell me you were spying on me?" You ask with an interest that was barely there.

"I came to get food," L said, holding a bag of treats.

"Me and Matsuda were in the middle of something; you both interrupted," you sigh.

"He just left you all alone, why do you still care about him?" Light said, while taking Matsuda's spot.

"He didn't pay." You mumble, making Light and L look at you.

"I'll take his place. You can buy whatever you want." Light said this with a smile.

"Don't make promises you can't keep. I will buy the store if you give me offers like that" You reply with a petty smile.

"Did you die from being poor in your past life?" L spoke up.

"Was that a joke? That was cute." You laugh while standing up.

"Anyway, you lovebirds, have fun! It seems like you came here together to eat, if that's not a date, I don't know what is." You say while you take one last slurp of your drink before leaving.

What a headache

Using your modern phone, you input every phone number that was given to you. You were able to properly make calls and send messages.

After you left, L sent a text message

L: Tomorrow you have the day off. Matsuda will be working with Misa.

You: 👍

Tomorrow should be the day Matsuda sneaks into Yotsuba's group... I have my own stuff to handle.

You call a cab and go to HQ, where you have a new room already set up for you. After searching every nook and cranny, you confirmed that there were not any cameras.

 You were grateful that L didn't go back on his word.

You stayed up all night using your phone. You had done everything you wanted to do since your arrival in this new world. 

You felt a lot more satisfied after you completed your dose of the internet.

Before you knew it, it was already morning and you needed to prepare for the meeting with the mysterious person who knew about your past.

You left without notifying any members of the force. If anyone needed you, you figured they would just text you.

After you waited in the cafe for what seemed like a few hours, there was no sign of anyone out of the ordinary. 

Later on, you get a text from an unknown number.

You look up, trying to find anybody who this could be. You then notice a side character who you forgot about.

"YOU?!" You yell out while the blonde makes her way over to you.

(Wendy, the hacker)^^

Wendy slowly walks over to you before stopping. She motions for you to leave with her. You follow right behind her, not saying a word.

She leads you to her car and starts the engine.

"Uhm, so... nice weather, huh?" You said, "I am not entirely sure what I should say."

"Y/n L/n" Wendy said your name slowly but clearly.

Your eyes slowly widen before returning to their original state.

"So how do you know who I am? Why am i here?" You ask in one breath.

"When infiltrating a secretive community that peaked my interest, a virus was installed on my computer. It was some sort of system that gave me a brief summary of the situation in this world. I was able to watch everything you did on the computer. " Wendy said

You look at Wendy with a lost expression, clearly confused on how she was able to get ability to watch you from her computer.

 "I am given certain tasks by this unknown system. Tasks as simple as hacking into a random server, to messing up small details with your life. I am not able to get out of it. The only escape is to pass this burden to..." She stops, looking away from you.

"My main task is that I must keep the plot on track." Wendy said

"I didn't expect you to be such an important character. So you know who Kira is and everything?" You ask

Wendy nods her head.

"I am on the run from the people in charge. I only came here to warn you that if you continue changing the plot, you will be led into more problems. The system and people in charge seem to  be enjoying the progress you've made, but in reality it is damaging " Wendy said seriously.

"I have plot armor right now. The author wouldn't let me die." You laugh while Wendy nods.

"That's all I have to say to you," Wendy says, ushering you out the door.

"Rude- let me talk for a bit, damn." You sigh, getting comfortable.

You get a notification on your phone. Wendy takes this chance to push you out of the car while apologizing and leaving.
