🔸12 - Not Alone🔸

[My apologies for not updating lately...T~T]

[Thorn's POV]

The man before me, was hanging his head low with his whole body facing my direction.

Then slowly, his head looked up from the ground and gazed directly at my direction.

As his black eyes stared at me, his lips formed a smirk, which made me feel irritated by the looks of it.

"Aww...How kind of you to check up on me.~ Did you miss me?~" The man asked teasingly, making my whole body started trembling in exasperation as my head started boiling in anger.

"How was your...'big brother', little one?~ Did he live?~ Hmm?~" He continued, making me look away for a brief moment as I tried to hold back my tears that were threatening to fall in .

"Or not?~ Was it because you were too weak to save him?"

Just by hearing those words, it felt like as if my heart just got stabbed multiple times repeatedly.

"Or was it because you failed to protect him?"

I felt a tear escaped from my eyes.

"Or, you didn't do anything to help him?"

My emotions were all mixed up right now...

"Or maybe, the answers were all of the above."

Then, all of the sudden...I couldn't control myself anymore...

"ENOUGH!" I snapped.

The shadows from my eyes remained, my green eyes glowed as I glared at the man.

Vines started creeping out from behind me and slowly crawled its way towards the man.

The man stood up, gasping as his eyes widened in terror and slowly backed away.

I grinned evilly, but it didn't last long.

'He has nowhere to go. I'll make sure I would get my revenge for my big brother.' I thought.

The vines made its way on the man and slowly gripped on to some parts of his body.

I made the vines gripped him tighter, making him choke.

The man shrieked, calling for help.

'Pathetic. Nobody would even come to save him.'

I made the vines gripped the man more, causing him to choke more and gasp for air.

I guess I should also need to say my last farewells to this killer.

I scoffed.

"Goodbye, you murderer..."

[Thunderstorm's POV]

After Thorn had given his eulogy, he just suddenly...ran away, leaving all of us in confusion.

I heard people murmuring and whispering around me, questioning about Thorn who just suddenly ran away without any reason at all.

I think he's up to something, and I know he's up to no good.

I thought about it because after he ran away, I could feel a menacing aura around him.

Something's not right...

I know it.

I can feel it.

I can sense it.

My instincts told me to follow him.

And, I did.

Not for long, I followed him for sure.

My cousins and my brothers probably noticed me following our leaf elemental cousin from behind and decided to come with me too.

We made sure to be a few meters away from Thorn so he wouldn't noticed us following him all along.

~~~
After a few minutes, we had arrived infront of a--
"Police Station?" My eldest brother, Quake asked confusingly.
My cousins, my brothers, including me became more perplexed about the situation.
Why would Thorn go into a police station?
"This can't be good..." My fire elemental cousin, Blaze said as he shook his head, which made the others nodded in agreement.
"Then, we have to make a move before he does something ridiculous again..." Ice stated, walking towards the front door of the police station.
We all nodded in agreement and followed our water elemental cousin from behind afterwards.
As we entered the station, we noticed a couple of police officers looking at something from a certain jail with their eyes widened in terror.
We immediately approached the policemen and asked what was wrong.
"A kid with a green cap locked himself and our prisoner in the jail. We tried opening the jail but it wouldn't budge. Somewhat his 'vine powers' were restraining us from opening it. Now, he's trying to kill the prisoner inside that jail." One of the police officers explained as he pointed his index finger on a certain jail.
We were shocked by what we've heard.
No...Don't tell me...
Immediately, I used my Lightning Move ability to teleport on the said jail.
I stood rooted on the ground and gasped in shock as my eyes widened at the scene I was looking at right now...
My leaf elemental cousin,
Slowly killing the man right infront of me,
With no mercy.
I saw his fierce face as he glared at the man.
I could feel his dark aura emitting around him.
No...Thorn...
Why are you doing this...?
'I couldn't bare seeing this anymore...' I thought.
I quickly teleported infront of Thorn and kneeled down, placing both of my hands on both of his shoulders.
"Thorn! Stop this right now!" I said sternly, but he didn't listen to me and I could still see his angry, green eyes looking straight directly at the man.
"Not until I get my revenge for my big brother." Thorn gritted his teeth as he looked at me furiously for a few seconds and glanced back at the man.
"Thorn! What you're doing right now isn't going to bring your big brother back!"
"So!?" He snapped, his green eyes glaring back at me, almost as if he was threatening me.
For the first time, I felt fear.
Fear, from my leaf elemental cousin, Thorn.
I was supposed to be the fearless one.
But this time, I'm...not.
All I could do right now was to beg for Thorn to stop this.
Right here, right now.
"Thorn, please...Just, stop this..."
"No! He killed Solar! I have to at least get my revenge for him!"
I clenched my teeth.
This has to stop.
"Do you think this is what Solar would've wanted for you to become!? Do you think he would be happy if he finds out about this!? If he knew about what you're trying to do now!?"
After for what it seems like forever for our leaf elemental cousin to calm down, he finally did.
His green eyes soften.
The vines loosened up, making the man dropped down on the ground with a loud thud.
I guess my words hit him too hard, making him stop all these madness...
Few seconds later, Thorn dropped both of his knees on the ground and broke down into tears.
He sobbed silently, making my heart sank on the inside as I heard his sorrowful cries.
I leaned closer to our leaf elemental cousin, giving him a warm hug to comfort him and pat his back gently.
"Am I-I....useless, C-Cousin Thunderstorm...?" He asked, making both of my eyebrows furrowed.
"No. You aren't, Thorn."
"Then, what did you see in me for you to think that I'm not useless at all?"
As I heard that question, my lips curved a small smile and gently wipe the leaf elemental's tears away from his puffy eyes using my thumb.
"If I were Solar, I knew he would say, he's so lucky to have a little brother like you since, everytime he feels down, just one look at you and his day could've been the best days of his life. Because, you're his happiness, his hope, his everything, his light to his day." I said, warmly.
"That's...what my big brother used to tell me..." The leaf manipulator's big, green eyes lit up as he faced me.
"So Thorn, you're not useless. Without you, he might struggle along the way because no one was there by his side, to bring joy to his life."
Thorn's eyes begun to water again as his lips quivered.
He hugged me back as another round of tears started falling from his eyes again.
"I hated crying..." He mumbled quietly between his sobs.
"Shh...It's okay." I softly said as I soothed our leaf elemental cousin. "As they say, it's okay to cry, because crying makes you feel stronger."
I heard him sniffled as he pulled away from the hug a bit.
"I feel so alone..." He mumbled. "Ever since my big brother passed away, I couldn't accept the fact that, I don't have a family anymore..."
"Thorn..." I gently placed my right hand on his left shoulder and smiled sadly. "You're not alone...You still have a family, and that's us, your cousins-"
"But, it's not the same..." He shook his head, slowly lowering it down with his face looked more gloomy than before. "I still feel....alone..."
I looked at our leaf elemental cousin worriedly as I tried everything to comfort him.
"You're not alone, T!" A familiar voice echoed around the room as my eyebrows furrowed, making me turn around to whoever just spoken.
It was Blaze.
"I, Cousin Blaze slash B, promised to never make you feel alone-" He was cut off by my youngest sibling, Cyclone.
"And I, Cousin Cyclone slash C, promised to always take care of you everyday-" He was also cut off, now by my eldest sibling, Quake.
"And I, Cousin Quake, will accept you to become a part of our family and for you to become a member of our family." He finished and smiled warmly at Thorn.
"You're not alone, buddy." Ice sincerely stated, walking towards our leaf elemental cousin and gave him a pat on the head. "You never were."
A spark came from Thorn's big, green eyes as he glanced at each one of us in awe.
He smiled sadly.
"Thank you, my big brothers..."
