Chapter 15- Erin

"Erin for God's sake you are not well enough to move!" Charlie yelled at me as I struggled towards the sofa, clutching my stomach along the way.

"I don't care, Charlie!" I shouted. "We need to get out of here right now!"

"You won't even make it half way down the bloody street," he screamed. "Let alone to the rendezvous point!"

"Right now that's our only chance to get out of here alive!" I shrieked, sweat pouring off me. "You have no idea what's coming, Charlie. You have no idea what they're capable of."

"I know full well what they're capable of because I've seen you and Josh!" he hollered.

"These guys are nothing like me and Josh!" I screamed at him but then my voice became quiet. "They are nothing like us at all. Charlie, they can break a man's sanity just by a click of their fingers. Josh and I...we're good soldiers. These guys...they're only use are torturers and controllers."

"Erin," Charlie sighed, sliding in front of me and placing his hands on my shoulders. "I promised Josh that I'd look after you but I can't do that if you go charging off into suicide missions. You've just got to trust me. I've got a plan."

"Can I say something?" Harry asked. He had been standing there watching us argue for the past half hour, which had been the time it had taken me to get off the platform and to the arm of the sofa.

"No," Charlie said.

"Ok I'm going to speak anyway," Harry said smoothly. "Has anyone else noticed that Erin has got a tracking device on her?" I froze.

"What?!" Charlie cried. He went around me and plucked the small device off the back of my neck. "When the hell did that get there?"

"Charlie," I said as he crushed the device under his foot. "Now I think it's really time to leave."

"You can't go anywhere fast," Harry said.

"I know that," I said.

"And that tracking device has been there for a while so there must be a reason why they haven't come to get us," Charlie said.

"I know that too," I said.

"So the question is, what are we going to do?" Harry asked. We all looked at each other.

"Well, I guess I'm going to have to pull out plan C," Charlie said.

"We have a plan C?" Harry said. "I would love to know what plan A and B were because they obviously failed." Charlie rolled his eyes then went searching into the warehouse.

"What are you doing?" I asked, easing myself down to the sofa. Being injured sucked.

"I am searching for plan C," Charlie muttered as he shifted through shelves and boxes.

"So you don't have a plan C," Harry pointed out.

"I do have a plan C," Charlie groaned, obviously annoyed. "I just need to find the damn... ah here it is." He pulled out a radio and switched it on. "Mayday, Mayday, this is agent Charles Hunt, number 015 489 630. We require immediate evacuation for three with one person seriously injured. Location: bunker warehouse 48."

We waited for what was the longest ten seconds of my life but then the radio came to life, crackling like the wood in a fire.

"Agent 015 489 630, please describe the condition of the injured person and give the names of your companions," the female voice said.

"Agent Harry Morgan and Triple hostage Erin...well my mission. Erin has a serious bullet wound to the abdomen. I've taken the bullet out but she needs medical assistance immediately," Charlie reported.

"Stand by for evacuation," the woman said.

"They won't get here fast enough," I said.

"Something tells me that Triple won't be coming for a while," Harry said. "I mean, think about it. That tracking device has been on her since yesterday. You'd think that if they cared about you that much they would have come back for you...but they haven't which means two things."

"What?" I asked. Harry gave Charlie a look. Charlie went pale himself, obviously just worked out something.

"They think we can't escape," he said quietly. "I bet you they've got us surrounded a few blocks away. The second thing is that you are not a valuable asset to them now, Erin. They've obviously decided that you are no longer a use to them."

"But if they don't want me, they won't want Josh either," I argued. "Why shoot me and take him?"

"What did Triple say to you when you were last there, Erin?" Charlie asked.

"They said that I had to kill you, not Josh," I whispered, the truth dawning on me. "Oh God no. That's impossible, they can't do that, can they?"

"Erin, that was your last chance to prove yourself," Harry said. "Your last chance to prove that you can kill. Josh already had thousands of times because he had a motive, you. Give Josh a motive and he'll kill."

"But now you're separated, Triple have a chance to-"

"No, no don't say it," I shouted.

"Erin, I think they're replacing you as Josh's partner," Charlie said gently. "They're keeping an eye on you so that you can't get to Josh."

"So there is still a chance then," I said. "If they think I can help Josh, then there is a way I can get him back."

"Erin we have no idea what they're doing to him," Charlie said. "Hell, we don't know how it will effect you."

"They can't kill me," I said. "Killing me will kill Josh. There may be a way where they can unlock his powers without me, but they definitely can't kill me."

"We don't know, Erin," Harry said. "But we as sure as hell are going to find out."

Ok short, I know but I needed a filler chapter. It will be more exciting next chapter, I promise because that will be in Austin's p.o.v so interesting for you guys maybe....

I've never actually done a chapter in the p.o.v of the bad guy before so this will be fun. But maybe he's not the bad guy I don't know. I just feel he's a complicated character.

Once again I'm sorry for disappointing you in this chapter :(:(:( I feel so bad...

So vote and comment if you think I deserved it,

Thanks for your amazing support!
