Scared of a little threesome?

A few days later, I was back in London. The last time i saw Cami was the last time I heard from her. Half of me was expecting to bump into Beau when I visited New York briefly, but it was as if she vanished into thin air.
Was she hiding from me? Was she deliberately going out of her way to not cross my path? Cami must've told her I was in town. Maybe she took that as a kind warning to steer clear of me. Still, I hoped I would've seen her at least for a second.
Even if it was from afar.
"How did everything go?" My father asks as he takes a drink of his wine. We were currently sitting across from each other, the waiter bringing us drinks left and right and yet somehow, I was still in my clear mind.
I set my glass of whiskey down after taking a sip before I answer. "He agreed to be bought." To put it simple, he demanded a large sum of money in order for him to be satisfied with the damage Elija caused. But anything to avoid legal matters I guess.
My father smirks followed by a scoff. "Let's just hope this is the only apartment Elija wrecks." He's about to take a sip from his glass but stops to speak again. "Speaking of which, where is that brother of yours?"
Come to think of it, it was strange for me to come home last night and not find him passed out on my couch. I haven't heard from him all day today either. "I don't know, I'm too busy fixing his fuck ups. I wouldn't worry, it's his specialty to disappear and show up days later." It would be no use to call or text his phone. The only reason he still has it is to text the only contact he has in there. His drug dealer.
"I wanted to ask," My father says after a while. "What's the deal with that girl? Georgia was it?"
At the mention of her name, I look up. I knew exactly where this was going. "What about her?"
"Well nothing, it just seems as though she really likes you."
"Well that's unfortunate." I had no interests in dating again.
"I'm just saying, she looks nice."
"This isn't primary school, Georgia and I have history but that's all there is on my part. I'm good."
My father shakes his head in disagreement. "You shouldn't let a good thing pass you by, Harry. I mean, when was the last time you were in a relationship? I don't think we've ever met a girl you've brought home, except for Hailey and we all know how that ended."
My parents were completely unaware of my full blown love affair with Beau, but to call that a relationship was childish. Beau and I made it almost three years, on and off without my parents suspecting a thing. They met her before but that was when she was dating Bill, which still shocks me.
It's almost like we were destined to meet in a way.
"Georgia is nice, but she's just a friend." It was true what I said. I have no interests in dating her or anyone for that matter. I'm not saying she's interested in me, she's always been that nice since I can remember. I think Beau's just completely messed up my idea on relationships. Anything after her would just seem like a waste of time.
But then again, it's also my codepency on narcotics that I don't trust myself getting into another long term situation. So far, since I've moved to London I've been sober for three months, something I haven't announced to anyone.
I still walk home, even after what happened with my dad. He wouldn't be caught dead showing up again anytime soon, knowing I knew who it was. I passed various nightclubs on my way home. You almost expect to see wild teenagers lined up, but that's the thing about Canary Wharf. Everyone was too classy for lines and the whole place was quiet, you would never imagine the kind of shit that goes on in those clubs.
People with money all holed up under one roof? For certain, I can assure you nothing good can come out of that. At least in the long run.
I almost didn't expect to see Georgia and Liv to come out of bar a couple feet in front of me, holding on to each other as they laugh and dance to the non existent music. It was clear they were drunk and hadn't seen me. But just as I was about to cross the street to walk on the other side, they spot me.
"Harry!" Liv shouts, disrupting the quietness of the evening. I stop and turn, acting like I hadn't seen them there before. Like I wasn't completely trying to avoid them by walking somewhere else.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Georgia says as they both walk towards me.
"I was just walking home." I say, admitting to the truth. They push me in the middle and each wraps their arm around mine, forcing me to walk.
"We were just bar hopping," Liv says, almost as if I had asked.
"Yes, but I think that's enough for tonight. Liv's had enough drinks and I've got a massive headache." Georgia says. "I think I'm ready to go home now." At this, Liv lets go of my arm and stands in front of us, almost like a toddler.
"Oh no, I was promised we would go to the Eye!"
"That's tourist territory, what on earth do you want to go there for?" Georgia fights back and I just watch.
"Sometimes it's nice to stop and be a tourist every once and then." Liv says and returns to my arm. "The tube should get us there in six minutes if we walk faster."
"Us?" I finally speak. "I don't recall being part of this twosome you've got going on."
"Scared of a little threesome, Harry?" Georgia says from beside me, looking up at me and I look away. "Besides, that's what Liv wants to do on her bachelorette night."
Before I knew it, I was dragged along for a six minute tube ride to River Thames. Maybe I should've told these two very drunk women that it would probably be closed by the time we got there, but I reckoned they should find out for themselves.
"Man," Liv says as we get there and the place seems empty. "Who would've thought." Georgia joins me on the bench I was currently sitting on, but I was busy looking at the colorful lights London offered. It's been a while since I just stopped and appreciated my surroundings.
"Pretty, isn't it?" Georgia speaks. I nod. "Bet you can't get this in New York."
"You'd be surprised at how many people leave their Christmas lights on all year." I joke and she laughs. "I did miss it. I don't know what I was looking for over there, but I didn't find it."
"And that's okay." Georgia places her hand over mine and I look down at it. "Maybe you can find it here."
"...it just seems as though she really likes you." My father's words come circling back in my head and I simultaneously take my hand back. Georgia seems to notice this as she looks down to her empty hand.
"You know, I never stopped thinking about you." She says. "I know it's probably something you don't want to hear, given you just got out of a relationship. And I don't know, maybe you don't feel the same. But...did you ever think of me? I mean, we were years ago I get that. But was there ever something in your mind that—"
"Guys, I think I'm going to be sick." Liv whines as she forces herself in between us and places her head on my shoulder. I'm thankful for her in this moment, I don't know what would've happened if she didn't intrude.
"I think we should take her home now." I say, standing up while holding her. When I turn, Georgia is looking ahead probably feeling embarrassed. I can't help but to feel sorry for her. "Hey, we'll talk on the way. Okay?"
She seems to relax at this and stands up to help me with her very drunk friend. After dropping Liv off at home, Georgia and I walk side by side. I maintain a bit of distance and so does she, until we reach her door.
"Look, I'm sorry about that. I don't know why I said that, I'm just—the drinks are doing me in." Georgia rambles on with a nervous laugh.
"Don't worry about it." I can tell she expected me to say more and I was trying to find it in my head the right words to say. But what the hell do you say to someone who outright tells you how they feel about you? "I can't lie to you, I didn't think of you, but only because I was trying to force myself to forget. However, that doesn't change the fact that you were a part of my life. I'm here now and I don't expect anything to happen between us. But I would like to have you around."
"As fuck buddies?" She almost seemed offended as she said that.
"As friends." I clarify, trying to comprehend where she got that from. She lets out a nervous chuckle and looks down in embarrassment. "Good night." Just as I was about to walk away, she grabs my wrist.
"Look, I'm very drunk right now and I probably won't remember any of this come tomorrow morning." She walks down a few steps and pulls me in, pressing her lips to mine. I could tell she was hurting, this kiss only reminded me of that time with Beau, right before I went off to rehab. It was sad and painful but I could feel she wanted to savor every last of me. When she finally pulls away, she smiles. "Don't remind me of this."
And with that, she walks inside her building.
By the time I get home, the time was two thirty in the morning. I could hear muffled music playing from the inside and I hurry and unlock the front door. I expected to see Elija on another one of his benders, prancing around the living room with a joint between his fingers and a bottle on the other, but much to my dismay he wasn't.
"Elija?" I call out, setting my keys down on the plate as Hotel California plays loudly down the hall. "You better not have anyone in my room." I scold, heading for the kitchen cabinet to retrieve the bottle of aspirins. Elija doesn't seem to answer as I set my water bottle down and make my way down the hall.
My bedroom was empty and as I left it, however light coming from the bathroom catches my attention as the faint sound of running water seeps in through the loud music. When I go to open, I find the handle locked and water glistening from underneath the door. "Elija?" I call out as I wiggle the doorknob. Knowing him he probably fell asleep in the tub, like the idiot he is. "Elija, open the door." I say as I try to find something to unlock it with.
I leave momentarily for the kitchen to retrieve a knife and come back, picking at the lock and in a few seconds, the door unlocks.
As soon as I step in, the floor is completely covered in water and just ahead, Elija was laying in the tub full of blood and vomit.
