SHAWN'S POV:

It's only three more weeks until I get to hold Madison in my arms, I'm kind of excited and kind of not.

I haven't told her my big news and I don't plan on doing it until the day before. (comment what you thinks the big news is)

It's whatever though, she'll understand. Right? I also prank called her last night just to hear her angelic voice.

Is that cheating? My girlfriend Gracie is wonderful she's just...too attached sometimes.

Like right now for instance, we are going to a small candle shop at the end of Maple Street (totally made up but totally Canadian) and she's literally latched onto my arm.

"Um babe, could you like maybe let go?" I asked trying to sound sweet.

"Um babe." She mimicked me.

"What was that ab--" I stopped in mid-tracks when I saw Madison holding hands with one of my good friends, Cameron.

They were laughing and eating fro-yo, he fed a spoonful to her. That made her laugh and she choked on it slightly, Cameron threw his head back laughing.

I remember when Madison and I did that together. So much for Shadison?

"Shawn!" Gracie snapped me back into reality.

"W-what?"

"You were staring at that disgusting thing! Get ahold of yourself." She whined which caught Madison's and Cameron's attention.

I felt my cheeks turn red in embarrassment and I tugged Gracie's arm off me.

"You know what? I'm not the only one who needs to get ahold of themselves! I'm done with you, you're such an entitled snob." I walked away, leaving Gracie and Madison behind.

MADISON'S POV:

My new friend Cameron and I just walked out of Menchies, frozen yogurt. I was laughing at a joke that he made about the cashier.

While I was laughing Cameron shoved a spoonful of yogurt into my mouth which I choked on. That made me laugh harder. I eventually spit it out and we died laughing again. I met him in Spanish class and we kind of have an interesting bond.

While I was walking with Cameron I saw Shawn yelling at Gracie, he walked off and she stood there clueless of what just happened. She shrugged and walked off into a candle shop. What a bitch.

"Um, Cameron. I-uh have to go see what happened." I said as I ran off to look for Shawn.

I was walking around frantically for a good ten minutes when I Shawn sitting in an alley behind Starbucks.

"Shawn?"

I knelt down in front of him and laid my hands on his knees. He had his knees tucked up to his chest and a tear stained face.

"Shawn, what happened?"

He looked up at the sky trying to contain his tears.

"I miss you Madison, God I miss you so much! You don't know how hard it's been. I've gotten so excited to tell you news about my day but every time I go to pick up my phone I remember that I can't...I'm a mess and now I don't even have a girlfriend to take my mind off you, I know I treated you like shit but I just wasn't sure how to handle not having you by my side." He frantically explained while tears fell down his cheeks.

I started to tear up seeing him so hurt. This was all my fault.

"I'm so sorry Shawn. I'm so, so, sorry. I know I messed up. I thought this would help us from fighting." I sniffled, "It only made it worse."

"It's like I can't lift the weight, there has been so much stress on me and you used to take it all away. All of it." He spoke softly and I watched his lips.

He licked them as they got dry and I held his cheek, he looked up at me with his kind, brown eyes. They were filled with so much sadness.

I read right through them. He rested his hand on my hip and I got goosebumps. I bit my lip trying not to laugh at him. He looked so cute...

"Come on Mendes, I know you want to kiss me." I whispered and he leaned in.

His lips pressed against mine and couldn't help but smile.

I kissed him back and my hands found the back of his neck and he cupped my cheeks.

I laughed and he stopped.

"What?" He asked getting panicked.

"You're just so cute." I smiled.

He smiled and kissed me again, I think I floated off into Neverland because I can't remember what happened after that.

All I know is that it was the best moment of my life.
