19 | oh no, it all went wrong pt. 1

Jisoo knew that something like this will blow up the moment she decided to associate herself with a boy group member; she didn't expect the consequences to come to her soon. So now she sits in front of the CEO of YG Entertainment a.k.a the most feared man around the building. Beside her was her manager, who also seemed to be pretty pissed about the whole situation.

She wouldn't blame Sangwon for getting mad at her though, it was her who had done the damage; it was her who gained her trust and made her feel betrayed in the end. It was going to be hard to look at the woman in the eye without her blowing up in a storm of fury.

"Tell me, Jisoo..." Yang Hyun Suk stated, his tone colder than the usual, "What did we agree on the moment BLACKPINK debuted?"

"Keep a clean reputation and always put the dating ban in mind." Jisoo answered, eyes still fixated on the palms on her lap.

"That's right. Glad you could still remember it." The CEO calmly stated before slamming down one of his hands on the wooden desk, causing Jisoo to flinch, "But why is it that you can't seem to follow it?"

"I-I'm sor-"

"No. You have said enough; please go back to your dorm." Yang Hyun Suk says as he leans against the swivel chair, "I'll discuss with Sangwon and BigHit Entertainment about the issue."

Jisoo could only nod. She then excuses herself from the room, feeling the glares of both the CEO and her manager boring her back. Once she escapes the intense atmosphere, she lets out a sigh of relief; however, the heavy feeling in her heart still remains.

'What have I gotten myself into?' Jisoo thought as she makes her way to the elevator. As she was about to step in, she stopped in her tracks upon seeing Hanbin.

The guy wore a smug look on his face. Jisoo could immediately tell that he was satisfied with how things are turning out for her—it was obvious considering the amount of times she has rejected him. She didn't say a word and entered the elevator; she then pressed the ground level button as the metal doors started to close.

It was just complete silence in the elevator; it wasn't a 'pleasant' silence though. There was intensity in the atmosphere that even a small kid could notice it.

"So, what does it feel like Jisoo?" Hanbin asks in a mocking tone, "Do you still feel like hanging out with your Jungkook?"

Jisoo glared at him. "Can you please not talk about it?" She says, her voice raised a bit higher than the usual. Just as they were about to go on a showdown of insults, the elevator stops and a 'ding!' could be heard; they have reached Hanbin's floor.

The male glanced at Jisoo and scoffed. "Whatever. It's not like you'll survive the mass hate." He comments before walking out of the elevator.

Jisoo glares at Hanbin's figure before the metal doors closed. Her fists were clenched and the feeling in her chest felt heavier than before.

Meanwhile...

Jungkook was lying down on the bed, who was still shocked about the whole rumour. It definitely came out of the blue; and denying the claims are useless since there were pictures provided in the article. The pictures definitely scared him, considering that both Jisoo and him are extra careful and sneaky when it comes to hanging out. Whoever took them must've been aware of his friendship with the female and thought to use it as a way to stain his name.

Though he wasn't entirely concerned with his name though; what Jungkook was afraid of was the backlash Jisoo is going to receive. He is aware of the double standards in the industry; and in terms of fanbase, his fans are definitely going to twist the rumours and make assumptions about the female.

It certainly frustrated him. He hated how it was him who had caused her so much trouble.

The door then suddenly opens, as Taehyung's figure peeks through the opening. Jungkook didn't say anything except look at his fellow bandmate with unmasked sadness.

"The company is trying their hardest to make up an excuse." Taehyung stated, as he closed the door. He then looks at Jungkook, who seems to have no care in what he has to say. So the older just left him like that and walked to the swivel chair that was at the corner of the room.

The two of them sat in silence; Taehyung didn't know how to comfort Jungkook in a situation like this. A dating scandal was quite different from plagiarism and hate comments; the younger could stand strong and tall throughout those kinds of attacks, but not this one.

Taehyung was knew that Jungkook was hurt because of the reputation he destroyed—his 'best friend' to be exact. Jisoo was probably the first ever female Jungkook didn't rum away from, and it would be really sad if the two cut ties—they were beginning to look cute together.

He glances at Jungkook, who still seemed to be in a daze. Taehyung could only let out a sigh as he leans against Jungkook's swivel chair.

'God, let there be a way out of this mess.'
