Characters:
Amias (Bit stupid, lowest in the class grade and ability wise, overly optimistic. He's the sunshine of the class, rarely ever seen with any other emotions other than happiness.)
Annie (Academically smart, outstanding grades, not the best ability wise, just as optimistic as Amias. One out of two of Amias' closest friends, she's slightly mischievous, but not as much as Hannah.)
Acil (Intelligent, just above average grades, unbelievably good fighter, introverted. A great leader, but not the best with people, he's usually blunt and sometimes rude. Brother of Aaban.)
Aaban (Not smart yet not stupid, average grades, one of the best defense, generous. He and his brother are practically opposites, with Aaban being so extroverted and caring, but they are still close nonetheless. Brother of Acil.)
Hannah (Clever, average grades, surprisingly good offense, mischievous. Hannah, the class prankster, she loves to joke around and mess with other people, yet she's still a good person when it comes down to it.)
Finnian (Oblivious, just below average grades, amazing defense, funny. Though not as optimistic as Annie and Amias, Finnian loves to joke around with his friends in order to cheer them up, he can be a bit awkward at times)
Flitz (Sharp minded, above average grades, preferred offense, tired. Although he looks half dead and constantly tired, Flitz is a great offense, yet he's also awfully apathetic and blunt, a bit like Acil in some ways.)
Bess (A moron, below average grades, pretty good defense, energetic. Constantly full of energy, Bess is one of the main crackheads of the class, ruling alongside Finnian, Lawrence, and Gilbert.)
[Lawrence and Gilbert are not named in this oneshot.]
The Rest of Class A2 (Exactly what it sounds like, the other 8 people that aren't named during the oneshot. Note that everyone in class A2 are very close, and love each other as friends dearly.)
Au:
Superhero AU (Where superheroes, villains, etc. are real. There are special high schools to teach future heroes. Pretty much inspired by the anime My Hero Academia, also known as Boku No Hero Academia or MHA/BNHA for short.)
"HOLY SHI—"
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
"HANNAH GIVE ME MY NOTEBOOK BACK!!"
"NO! AMIAS PUT THE FUCKING BAT DOWN!!!"
"I'M GONNA FUCKING DIE OVER A DAMN DIARY?!"
How the hell did we get here? Your guess is as good as mine.
It happened to be a week before Christmas, and we had the day off because of recent villain attacks. Because of the miracle called a day off, we all gathered in the common room to discuss plans for the day.
We decided to decorate the common room and our dorm rooms. Acil was chosen to be the leader, since he was the calmest out of all of us. It was going great! Until...
Class A2 students bustled about, sparkling lights covered just about every inch of the room. A select four students stared at directions for the magical icon, the Christmas tree.
Joyous music blasted throughout the room, washing away whatever unease lay in the students. That is, most of them. One student in particular, was a shortie named Amias, standing by the stairs.
No one had really gave him something to do, as he was known to be clumsy and air headed. 'Just help around, I'm sure someone will find something for you to do!' They said. They were all wrong.
Amias had tried, and tried, and tried.
He asked to help with the baking, 'Sorry Amias, you're too clumsy to bake! Plus, you'd probably forget to do it right!'
He asked to help with the tree, 'Ah...uhm...sorry dude, maybe go help with the decorations?'
He asked—nearly pleaded—to help with the decorations, 'Sorry, no. No offense, but we've seen how you do when it comes to...getting it perfect, in words you'd understand.'
So now, he stood by the stairs, watching everyone as they laughed and talked with joy. Suddenly, Aaban, who had been baking cookies, ran up to him and smacked the back of his head.
"Aabannnn, what was that for?!" Amias whined, rubbing his head.
"You're not helping anyone, Amias! Stop being so lazy and go help! If you're not gonna help, then you might as well go sleep!" Aaban huffed.
Amias knew it was in good nature, he knew Aaban probably hadn't seen everyone refuse his help. Even so, it still stung.
He forced a sheepish smile and walked up the stairs to their dorms. When he got there, he collapsed onto his bed, heaving out a sigh.
He was lost in his own world, laying down curled up in his blankets. He was so lost, in fact, that he didn't hear his door open and close, followed by footsteps.
He let out a breath and turned his body to open his nearby drawer, opening it. He pulled out a small baby pink, spiraled notebook. He also grabbed a pencil, preparing to write in it.
It was promptly snatched from his unsuspecting hands. Whipping around, he found Hannah snickering and giggling as she looked at the front of the notebook.
In a panic, Amias leapt up and launched himself at Hannah. He pinned her down and tried to grab his notebook—more like diary—, only to be shoved off by a new pair of hands. Amias looked up, finding an annoyed Acil. Hannah had ran away.
"Amias, why the hell were you on top of Hannah? I came up to check on you guys when I heard a thud, and this certainly isn't what I expected." Acil stared down at him, angrily.
Amias shot up and shoved past Acil, leaving him in shock. He ran after Hannah, tackling her at the top of the stairs. They tumbled down into the common room, as Amias began to chase her down for his diary. Classmates were screaming in confusion.
"HOLY SHIT!"
"AMIAS! CALM THE FUCK DOWN!"
"HANNAH, AMIAS, STOP!!"
Amias only got angrier. Only a few people were focusing on Hannah, while most were telling him to calm down and explain. Then again, it wasn't at all normal for Amias to be running after a classmate, ready to just about annihilate them.
"GIVE MY FUCKING NOTEBOOK BACK!" Amias screamed out in pure rage.
The single sentence left everyone in shock, and Hannah in pure fear. She had only meant this to be a joke, and now she was running for her damn life. Amias never swore!
Suddenly, Amias had created a bat out of the few shadows in the room. At that moment, everyone knew something serious had gone down. (A/N: Amias' power, known as a Forza, is to make things out of shadows)
"AMIAS! PUT THE BAT DOWN!" Acil yelled, having just come down to the common room.
"I'M GONNA FUCKING DIE OVER A DAMN DIARY?!" Hannah yelled.
Eventually, Amias was pinned and dragged to a chair, where he was promptly tied to. Everyone stood away from him, as he still hadn't calmed down. Of course, Hannah still had the notebook. She was far too scared to admit that she'd taken it right from him, indirectly causing all this.
Finally, one of Amias' closest friends, Annie, had enough.
"Amias, you're acting like a feral animal! The notebook is pink of all things, so it's obviously Hannah's! Her favorite color is pink, so it only makes sense. So why were you of all people chasing her down and trying to kill her? You're normally so happy and couldn't hurt a fly, so what happened?" Annie asked.
Amias stares at her blankly, as if all the positivity in him was sucked away. His eyes held a raging fire of anger, but also a storm cloud of misery. He didn't answer, though.
"Guys...lay off on him, I uh...I'm the reason he's so mad." Hannah spoke up, stepping in front of Amias.
"How did you get Amias, of all people, into a murderous rage?" Annie inquired.
Hannah first placed the baby pink 'notebook' in Amias' lap. The latter visibly relaxed, but still seemed to hold a grudge.
"Well, I went to go check up on him since he randomly disappeared, and found him in his dorm room. The notebook isn't mine, I actually saw him take it out of his drawer and was about to write in it. I uh...sorta...took it from him, and he tackled me." Hannah explained.
"So you played a prank on him basically? You're always taking his stuff as a prank, so why would he be mad about it this time?" Aaban asked curiously.
"I dunno, we could ask him ourselves." Hannah suggested, turning back to Amias.
Said boy was no longer in the chair, the restraints laying discarded on the ground. The notebook was also gone.
Just about everyone nearly got whiplash from scanning the entire common room. Nothing.
"I'll check his dorm room!" Annie called, already half way up the stairs.
Annie treaded quickly to the familiar door, not even bothering to knock. She grabbed the doorknob and opened it, praying it wouldn't make any noise.
Peeking inside, she spotted a lump on the bed, yet heard nothing, not even breathing. Sighing, she approached the lump and placed her head on Amias' shoulder. She was still curious as to why her friend was so protective of a notebook, but moved it aside for now.
"Amias, you okay there?" She mustered a smile.
The lump didn't respond.
"Don't worry, it's Annie, ya airhead!" She giggled, missing the way her friend tensed up at the nickname.
Her hand was suddenly shoved away, along with the rest of her body. Amias sat up, averting his eyes away from his friend. Annie was shocked, to say the least. Amias was never this cold, no matter what happened.
Amias slid out of his bed and walked towards Annie, grasping her shoulders gently. Annie blinked, confused.
"Amias? Are you okay bud?" She let her worry seep into the very roots of her voice, hoping it'd help.
Amias suddenly smiled brightly, nodding happily.
"Sorry to bother you all! I was just a bit grumpy, I suppose! Nobody wants my help, so I think I'll just stay up here." The joy in his voice amplified tenfold, but it also sounded apologetic.
Annie paused, what was that last sentence?
"Wait, what was that last sente-"
Amias turned her around and gently led her to the door. He placed her outside, closing the door with a quick 'bye!'
After getting over the initial shock, Annie headed downstairs back to everyone. They had all gone back to decorating, smiling and laughing.
Annie pushed aside the odd behavior of her friend, maybe he was just tired. She went to the kitchen, and began to help everyone bake. After just a few minutes, she seemed to have completely forgotten what had happened.

After all the cookies and treats had been made, everyone was told to come to the dining room. Annie sat down, turning to look at where her close friend would normally be.
'Where's Amias?' She thought.
"Hey guys, has anyone seen Amias come down?" Annie turned to her classmates.
Everyone looked at each other, as if they were asking the same question.
"Now that I think about it, no, we didn't. He never came down after you." Aaban spoke up.
"Do you think he's still salty about that notebook? He may be more of an airhead than I thought." Acil scoffed.
"Pft, that dude couldn't hold a grudge if he tried. He's too nice for his own good." Hannah commented.
"Actually...he mentioned that no one wanted his help when I talked to him. Did he ask any of us to help?" Annie questioned.
Finnian, Flitz, and Bess raised their hands.
"He asked me to help with baking, I told him he'd probably he too clumsy for it though." Bess said.
"He asked me to help with the tree, I suggested he go help with decorations." Finnian replied.
"He came to me to help with decorations, I pointed out that he isn't the best at accuracy." Flitz chimed in.
Silence enveloped the table as everyone realized what had happened.
"We've only been insulting him the whole day!" Annie suddenly shouted.
"Did anyone try to help him?" Aaban asked, looking around.
Everyone drowned in their own guilt.
Soft, retreating footsteps sounded from the stairs. Everyone whipped around to look at who it was.
Amias ignored the states and continued upstairs, facing away from everyone. Annie and Aaban shot up, causing their chairs to screech on the wooden floor. Amias stopped at the top of the stairs and turned around, smiling gently as if nothing was wrong.
"You're alright, everyone. I was just grumpy from waking up so early I guess! No need to feel guilty!" His smile got wider at the end, his eyes sparkling with their usual joy.
Once he had walked away, everyone looked at each other in guilt. Amias had slept in, he wasn't tired.
"Damn, never thought to see the day Amias pulled off such a lie." Acil sighed.
"I'll...try to go comfort him." Annie turned and walked up the stairs.
Not too long later, said girl rushed downstairs.
"Amias isn't in his room! He just left a note!" Annie slammed the small note on the dining table.
Acil took it calmly—the fakest type of calm and collected—, reading it.
'Sorry for the bother everyone! I got a call from my parents that I need to head home, just in case you all freak out. You weren't insulting me, don't worry! I'll return later tonight, by the way. Hope you can forgive how I rude I was! Stay happy and continue decorating please!
~Amias ♡'
Everyone felt uneasy, but reluctantly continued preparing for Christmas. Soon, everyone began to go back to normal. Jolly chatter echoed throughout the common room.

True to his word, Amias returned late into the night, around 1 AM. He looked around at all the lights and decorations that were currently turned off.
He smiled, his steps soft and quiet as he neared the large U shaped couch. He sat down on the right corner, basking in the fragile silence.
To any normal person, the silence would bring a sense of unease. But to Amias, it felt like a hot bath, letting him relax knowing no one was around for once.
'Two more years, just gotta hold on.' He thought.
As everyone slept soundly, Amias sat in the common room, letting his thoughts overtake him. He soon joined everyone else, his body laying down comfortably as he drifted asleep.
No one would realize the pain Amias was in, and they would never know. It was his business, no one had to give him pity. In the end, he would be forgotten, like a piece of sand on a beach. He was a simple memory, nothing important.
We'd be lying.

Yoinkers Scooby, the author sure likes angst!
Yes, hello to whoever is reading this. You've stumbled upon the place of horrible writing and cliché angst. If you lasted this long, I applaud you! If you have any questions just comment, I'll be sure to respond. Note that I'm terrible when it comes to writing coherent plots when I know exactly where I'm going, as I want to reveal everything n' stuff like that.
That was long. Anyhow,
Merry Christmas!
