kiss one another
the way we do?

"Director, the agreement isn't being put through they keep declining them," one advisor stammered, quickly trying to match your hurried pace down the hall as he fixed the glasses sliding down the bridge of his nose.

"If we use force they would have to submit to our demands, I don't understand why you refuse to take that efficient route!" Another objected, voice raising as you simply rolled your eyes in reply. In turn you walked even faster to get away from all the suggestions your committee was throwing at you; as they chased you down the hall before your next meeting would start.

This was the usual, trying to get you to rethink and doubt yourself seconds before endless important decision making days in your schedule. The establishment you worked for was fucked up in that standard, but if you didn't manage it then who would? The company would most likely crumble and be overridden by another chain business without you.

You were head CEO, only appointed the job a year ago. You still have lots to learn but if only your advisors could respect your judgment every once in a while— without always doubting them while forgetting who's technically in charge.

Letting out a sigh you stopped in front of the board room door, turning around and halting everyone ( seven to ten people ) in their tracks. Glancing at you with wide eyes and clipboards with pens raised, as if about to continue on their little speech about how you're doing everything wrong at the moment.

"Thank you for your input but if you would check your calendars once in a while you would know I have a meeting I need to attend right now," you clearly stated between clenched teeth, putting on a fake smile as you opened the door and slammed it in their faces.

Glancing at the newly glossed wooden door you made a mental check in your mind to assign your assistant to fax the worker a thank you letter for the job well done.

In the few seconds you had you took a deep breath, tucking the loose strands of hair behind your ears as your expression immediately calmed.

Turning around you gazed at the representatives seated at the table, giving them a polite bow before heading to your seat. Your assistant sliding from the back to where he was waiting to now stand beside you, your presentation ready as he handed the folder to you.

"Sorry for the delay there was something I had to handle," you simply stated as the others smiled and murmured in reply before opening up their own folders.

time skip

It was nearly eleven at night, yet the coffee you've been drinking has kept you diligent and wide awake throughout the day.

The fact that your office was quiet and comfortable consisting of only you and your assistant helped. You didn't like to work in the presence of many others, so the solitude made the long hours bearable. There was even a couple couches and a small kitchen for overnight work days. Your desk was large with three computers while your assistants desk was stationed in front of you towards the back in his own cubic corner.

"Mr.Jeon have you organized my schedule for the next few days?" You muttered out, breaking the silence of the quiet office room. Glancing up you rested your chin in your palm, watching as he let out a sigh and ran his fingers through his hair.

Unconsciously you watched his hands, stopping yourself in surprise when you realized you were zoning out.

"Yes, and I canceled the meetings with the employment team, to make room for the conference party you've been invited to attend as always," he added while shuffling through the papers at his desk, finally looking up at you with a tired yet proud smile.

"I presume we both deserve a break Mr.Jeon, we've been working for quite some while," you yawned out while leaning back in your chair as you stretched your arms, slumping in the swivel chair.

He let out a chuckle, loosening his tie before standing up and reaching for the jacket hanging on his hook. In turn you also grabbed your jacket, quickly sliding into it before catching the office keys Jungkook tossed at you with a laugh.

You genuinely smiled for the first time that day.

After paying the driver you both stepped out of the taxi, step in step as you conversed while heading to the club doors. The loud thumping music and yells drowned out the both of your laughter, opening the door your senses were met with the thrill of being able to relax and let loose for the time being. Jungkook closed the door behind you, and after flashing both of your IDs at the doorman you were finally let into the actual entrance.

Flashing lights pierced through the darkness as people danced and screamed together, laughter and drink clinking filling the air. The loud dance music made it harder to hear anything else at the moment, so holding onto Jungkook's arm he guided the both of you to the bar.

In work context he was seen as your loyal assistant, you could count on him for his task productivity and his organization skills. However out of work this was the norm, the both of you were drinking buddies for quite the while. He was a wonderful friend and you enjoyed his company. The both of you finished collage ( in different collages ) three years ago so the fact that he was only a couple months older was nice, even if you teased him all the time about how you were still his boss.

You had begun hanging out with him non work related around a year ago, and you frequently looked forward to the time spent together. Sure you had friends but he was more comfortable to be around especially on a stressful day like today for instance.

Sitting on the bar stools you both picked up the conversation right where it was left off, the music less loud on this side.

"I still don't know if sitting on my roof at midnight is such a good idea, what if I scare the shit out of someone who looks out their window?" You grinned out after taking your fifth shot, his bright smile only making it harder to look away.

"The stars though, think about it that view would be breathtaking darling," he murmured out with a slight chuckle.

Raising his glass to his lips Jungkook took a sip while still carefully maintaining eye contact. Turning you speechless for the moment as you could slowly feel the red tint creeping up your cheeks. Gulping you suddenly craved a cold drink to cool you down as well, taping your fingernails against the glass cup on habit.

Unable to look away first you waited till he finished his glass, shutting his eyes tight as he let out a throaty yet raspy content sigh of approval at the liquor taste. All of the drinking making his voice husky.

Quickly you directed your gaze away from him, you felt nervous with your heart beating at such an unstable pace, that had been happening too often for comfort.

"One more round Jungkook?" You turned to the side and told him, trying to clear your mind as you gave him a nervous smile.

The corner of his lips seemed to curve, a competitive glint in his eyes as he slammed his hand on the table.
"Another six shots sir!" He yelled out, still glancing in your direction with mischief.

The thought of going home slipped from your mind as you both grew intoxicated. Hours had passed and yet the steady flow of conversation and laughter continued, cups littering the bar table.

Jungkook had a higher alcohol tolerance level compared to you, which is why he was usually the one to stop you from drinking too much.

"Hey I think maybe you should stop drinking, do you want some water?" He suggested after noticing you couldn't focus your vision on one thing for too long.

"Aishhhhhhhh....come on let's have another shot..," You slurred out with a bright grin, stumbling as you stood up and waved the bartender over.

Hurriedly grabbing your arm he pulled you back down to sit, glancing at the bartender and giving him an apologetic smile as he sent him away. Looking back at you with uncertainty as he licked his parched lips.

Frowning you titled to the side unconsciously, trying to blink your drowsiness away as your head leaned against his chest.

You were honestly not that drunk, but you pretended you were just to have an excuse to be in this position.

What he doesn't know won't hurt him right?

Right.

"Darling...I suggest you move away from me right now it's hard enough as it is trying to resist in this type of state," he muttered out as he clenched his jaw, forcing himself to dangle his hands at his sides and not touch you.

"What if I don't want to?" You shot back, this burst of confidence coming from nowhere as you stood up and stared him down straight in the eyes. Watching the way he seemed to flinch at the sudden proximity of your faces.

"One last chance...step away from me right now," he whispered out, his velvet voice seeming to shut out all the other screams and sounds in the room. Till the only thing you could hear was your heart slamming against your chest and your unstable breathing.

"No."

As soon as that simple word rolled off your lips and mingling in the air in between his— he snapped.

Grabbing your wrist with his hand he stood up, eyes cold and hard as he pulled you behind him. Tripping as you let out a small muffled shriek, trying to pull from his grasp completely baffled.

Stopping for a moment towards the back of the club he turned around to face you, his intoxicated pupils seeming to drown your entire existence as you turned speechless yet again.

"I warned you, get in the back room... we have businesses to take care of."
